Chapter 571: Increase in Space Talent Comprehension [1]
Arthur deactivated his domain, watching as Origin Sanctuary collapsed back into potential within his core. The forest clearing returned to normal, the ethereal chains of light and primordial energy dissipating as his authority over the space ended.

But his curiosity immediately turned to another matter.

“Aether,” Arthur called to his void dragon companion, who was currently perched on a nearby branch examining his own newly awakened power with obvious fascination. “Show me your domain. I want to see what you’ve gained.”

Arthur had a hunch—more than a hunch, really. If he could observe Aether’s spatial domain in action, see how the void dragon’s comprehension of space manifested as territorial authority, it might provide insights that would deepen his own understanding of the Space talent. Witnessing another’s domain from the inside could be educational in ways that abstract knowledge couldn’t match.

“Ooh! Master wants to see Aether’s super cool space domain?” The small dragon’s eyes lit up with excitement. “Okay! Aether will show Master the amazing things from the trial!”

Aether’s small form glowed with spatial energy as he activated his newly awakened domain.

Void Expanse

Reality fractured around them like shattered glass, then reformed into something completely alien to the forest environment they’d been standing in moments before. The domain expanded rapidly, encompassing a sphere roughly forty meters in diameter, and within that sphere, the world transformed utterly.

They were in space.

Arthur found himself floating in absolute void, the forest floor gone, gravity itself becoming optional as the domain imposed its own physics. The darkness of deep space surrounded them on all sides—not threatening, but vast and infinite, carrying the weight of cosmic scale compressed into a localized area.

But this wasn’t an empty void.

Scattered throughout the domain’s bounds were small stars—miniature suns that pulsed with energy. Arthur counted five of them, each one perhaps a meter in diameter, glowing with brilliant light that illuminated the surrounding darkness. They orbited slowly through the space, following paths that seemed both random and perfectly choreographed.

The Winter Beast and Flamingo floated nearby, their massive forms adapting to the weightless environment with varying degrees of grace.

“This is… extraordinary,” Arthur breathed, genuinely awed by what Aether had created. “It’s like you’ve pulled a piece of actual deep space into reality.”

“Hehe! Master likes it?” Aether giggled with obvious pride, doing a little barrel roll through the weightless environment. “Aether learned about how space works during the trial! The big ancient dragon showed Aether everything about stars and voids and bendy-space-fabric!”

Arthur’s mind immediately began analysing the domain’s potential applications. “What can you do with this, Aether? What abilities does your domain grant?”

“Ooh, Aether can show Master!” The void dragon’s excitement intensified as he prepared to demonstrate. “Watch this!”

Aether focused on one of the miniature stars floating through his domain. Spatial energy connected him to the stellar body, and suddenly the star began to pulse with increasing intensity. Heat and light built within its core, fusion reactions accelerating beyond their stable baseline.

Then Aether directed it.

The star shot forward like a missile, crossing the domain’s distance in a heartbeat before detonating with catastrophic force against an imaginary target point. The explosion was contained within the domain’s bounds, but the energy release was staggering.

BOOM!

“Each star is like a big exploding ball that Aether can throw at bad guys!” Aether explained cheerfully. “And Aether can make more stars if Master gives Aether time! The domain makes star-making super easy!”

Arthur’s eyes widened with recognition of the strategic value. Mobile stellar bodies that served as both illumination and devastating projectile weapons. Any enemy trapped within Aether’s domain would face bombardment from miniature suns that could be directed with spatial precision.

“That’s already incredibly powerful,” Arthur said, though something in Aether’s expression suggested there was more. “But I’m guessing that’s not everything?”

“Nope!” Aether’s grin widened mischievously. “The really cool part is this—Aether can use each star to do the singularity collapse thingy! Each star lets Aether use the mythical skill once!”

Arthur’s mind stuttered to a halt as he processed that statement.

Each star allows him to use Singularity Collapse? That mythical-rank ability with the five-minute cooldown?

“Show me,” Arthur commanded, needing to see it to truly believe it.

Aether focused on a different star, and spatial energy began warping around the stellar body with increasing intensity. The void dragon channeled his mythical skill through the star itself, using it as a focal point and power source simultaneously.

Singularity Collapse

A miniature black hole manifested above the star, just as devastating as when Aether had used the ability against the Tidal Flamingo. Gravitational forces erupted outward, pulling everything nearby toward the singularity’s crushing centre. The pull was overwhelming, reality itself bending under the artificial gravity well.

Then it collapsed, releasing accumulated energy in a devastating explosion.

BOOM!

The star Aether had used as a focus dimmed significantly, its energy partially consumed by powering the mythical ability. But it remained functional, still glowing, still capable of being weaponised or used as a focus again after recovery time.

“See! Each star is like a battery for the super-duper strong space attacks!” Aether explained with obvious satisfaction. “Aether had five stars, so Aether could use singularity collapse five times in a row if needed! Or save them for later! Or make more stars to have even more mythical attacks ready!”

Arthur felt an unexpected pang of jealousy cut through his assessment.

Aether’s domain was absurdly powerful. Not just strong—legitimately broken in terms of combat applications. The ability to spam mythical-rank attacks by using stellar bodies as power sources circumvented normal cooldown restrictions entirely. An enemy facing Aether’s domain would be bombarded by multiple singularity collapses in rapid succession, attacks powerful enough to threaten any opponent, including himself.

Meanwhile, Arthur’s domain, while versatile and superior in many ways, didn’t grant access to anything quite that immediately devastating. Origin Sanctuary was about force multiplication and army building—powerful, but not as flashy or immediately lethal as what Aether could accomplish.
