Chapter 1353: Crisis (Part 4)
As Evan looked at the constantly growing cracks on the worlds located in the lower regions of the World Tree, his expression became extremely grim.

From the words spoken by the woman, Evan could understand that the World Tree was running out of energy. As a result, all the worlds held within it—including Utopia—were on the verge of destruction.

Evan’s gaze shifted to the area where Earth and Arora World were located, and he narrowed his eyes.

‘I need the Bloodline Inheritance Steps located on Earth to fully awaken my bloodline. If Earth gets destroyed, I will lose access to the Bloodline Inheritance Steps as well.’

Evan turned to look at the woman, who had her back to him, and asked in a low voice.

“Why did you pull me here? Do you want me to stop the destruction of the World Tree?”

The woman continued to stare blankly at the tree’s cracked branches without any expression and didn’t respond to Evan’s question.

“This damn spirit…” Evan muttered, frustrated by her lack of reaction.

Though he knew she wasn’t in a right state of mind to give him a proper response and seemed to be moving instinctively, he still felt irritated.

He glanced at the Halberd of Destruction in his hand, his eyes flashing with wicked light.

“She reacted when I summoned the Halberd of Destruction. Maybe I need to use this to get her attention.”

Saying this, Evan walked toward the spirit. Though he was worried that she might mistake him for Azroth—the one who had ruined her peaceful life by destroying the Universal Tree— he had no choice but to try waking her up as he needed clues on how to keep the World Tree intact.

As he got closer and the spirit came into contact with the aura of the Halberd of Destruction, her body shook, and she stiffly turned to look at him.

Her previously indifferent eyes flickered slightly, as if something within her was trying to awaken but couldn’t.

“How can I stop this damn tree from collapsing?” Evan asked, pointing the Halberd at her.

The woman’s stiff face twisted slightly as the Halberd was aimed at her, and she instinctively tried to back away.

However, Evan placed the Halberd at her neck and spoke coldly.

“Answer me, or you will get a live flashback of what happened in the past.”

The woman’s face contorted even more at his words, and after a brief silence, she finally opened her mouth.

“A Primordial Realm… plant tree there.”

Evan frowned slightly when he heard her words, but soon his eyes lit up with realization.

‘She wants me to plant the World Tree in a Primordial Realm…’

He thought inwardly, and almost instantly, the Primordial Shadow Realm came to mind.

He had never entered the Primordial Shadow Realm, but from Anastasia, he had heard that it was filled with rich Primordial Energy.

‘Could it be that the World Tree can recover itself by absorbing energy from the Primordial Realm?’

Evan once again looked at the woman, who now had an uncomfortable expression on her stiff face due to the Halberd’s aura, and asked another question.

“How long before the World Tree completely runs out of energy?”

The woman didn’t reply instantly. Instead, she showed a struggling expression—the kind every backbencher makes when the math teacher suddenly asks them to solve a problem on the board.

After a few minutes of internal struggle, the spirit finally finished her mental calculation and spoke in a stiff voice.

“Around five years.”

“Five years…” Evan raised an eyebrow and nodded slightly.

But suddenly, something clicked in his mind, and his eyes narrowed.

‘In the Tomb of the Ancient, Azrael told me that the seal placed there will break in about six years…’

A few months had already passed since the tomb was sealed again, and the remaining time until the seal shatters was roughly five years.

‘Does the World Tree running out of energy have something to do with whatever is sealed inside the tomb?’

Evan tried to ask the spirit if she knew anything about the being sealed within the tomb, but she didn’t respond and simply stood there stiffly.

“It seems I am not going to get any more answers from this dumbo…” Evan muttered to himself and sank into deep thought.

‘I am already a beginner level Rank Four Core Evolver, not far from reaching mid level. Maybe I can finally integrate the Primordial Shadow Realm with my core now.’

Although the spirit told him that the tree still had five years left, he didn’t want to take any risks.

If Earth was destroyed, it would be a huge loss to him— as he would lose his only method of awakening his Doom Bringer Bloodline.

‘I will take care of the conflict between the demons and dragons first. Once I return, Anastasia should be awake by then. I will bring her to the Primordial Shadow Realm and attempt to integrate it with my core.’

Evan shifted his gaze toward the leaf that held the World Domain and, after a moment of contemplation, walked over to it.

He could still feel the strange attraction from the leaf covered in three different kinds of light. But when he tried to touch it, his hand simply passed through.

Evan frowned thoughtfully. Though he clearly felt that the leaf was calling to him, he had the sense that he couldn’t take it with him right now.

‘I think I need to bring the entire World Tree with me if I want to take this leaf along.’

With that realization, his desire to integrate the Primordial Shadow Realm with his core— and to plant the World Tree within it— grew even stronger.

He looked up at the colossal tree before him, and his eyes gleamed with determination.

‘Five years before this thing runs out of energy, huh. Since that’s the case I will simply plant this tree in my Primordial Shadow Realm before the war against Winterclaw begins.’
