Chapter 355: Interrogation!?
The Achiever title granted him titles when he did something “miraculous” but this was the same as his System giving him Titles as well, that was why he was confused about this title as it seemed to have almost no effect on him.
But now this conjecture of his might be wrong…
As he was thinking, his eyes went to the crash where that “Guardian” was, he looked at the devastating scene with a quiet, contemplative gaze.
“Is she dead?” Eryke the Seventh looked at his bloody fist with how brutally he punched her, he doubted if she was even alive.
In his system notification, it only said “defeated” so there might be a chance that she was alive, although her state might not be pretty.
The dust before him gradually lifted off as he walked step by step and reached her, quietly observing her state.
Even though her body was in a terrible condition with her face not so pretty from his punch, her chest was still heaving up and down, she was alive!
“Perfect, I can get some information from her then.” Eryke the Seventh directly walked up to her and sat besides, slightly jerking her, “Hey, wake up.”
However she was completely unresponsive, it looks like she was directly unconscious now.
“Oh, well.” With a shake of his head, he stood up and casually pointed with his palm. His mind focused as the temperature started to drop beneath his palms, gradually forming icy veins that shot through his hand and extended to at least a mile.
The ice was like sharp spikes that could riddle a person whole, their tip glinting in the light of the magma below.
“Ho?”
Eryke the Seventh raised his brows in intrigue when he saw this, “The power of this title is not bad, unfortunately it is an exclusive one, Grey would have found it very helpful.”
Then he tightened his palm, the temperature returned to normal and the ice fell from his hand. The high temperature of this place instantly started to melt the ice and soon it turned into vapor, wafting into smoke.
While at the same time he could feel a slight exhaustion overtake him. The cost of using it was some meagre amount of stamina which was not bad.
“I wonder why this woman had such power in a place like this.” He glanced back at her again, at her subconscious state with thoughtful eyes.
After some time of thought, he finally decided to heal her, it was not like she posed any threat to him and even if she did, his main body could always call him back.
The most important thing for him was to gather the intel of this place and this woman seemed like the perfect candidate for it.
‘Grey.’ Eryke the Seventh closed his eyes, in the darkness of his mental space, Grey quickly appeared along with his Grimories, “Man, you are really helpful with all of these things.”
“At this point, I will be your assistant.” Grey said jokingly.
Eryke the Seventh nodded before his focus returned back to the real world again, he extended his palm and a blue fire engulfed her, slowly healing her head injury. It took a solid two minutes before she had completely recovered and her body returning to her prime and pristine state.
He took a good look at her and his brows arched, “I know you are awake, you don’t have to hide from me.”
Silence!
“Die.” Eryke the Seventh raised his fist, clenched his five fingers and slammed down on her with full force right to her head.
Right when his fist was inches away from her face, a terrifying gale reached her face before his fist did, her eyes snapped open and she feebly spoke, “Stop.”
“Hmm.” He stopped right in his tracks and spoke with an amused tone, “So a guardian is also scared of death huh.”
“You…” She shouted with a frown, her muscles twitched slightly and he was ready to strike her down again, his fist eerily close to her head.
“What did I say again?” He looked at her with a murderous hostility, “No trickery, understood?”
“Yes.” She gulped with a terrified expression.
“Now, tell me what this place is?” Eryke the Seventh spoke while staring her down.
“This place is hell.”
“I know that much.” He rolled his pupils at the most obvious thing, especially since she was acting so cool just before, “What does this place mean?”
“This is the place where the souls are sent to be washed away.” She gulped nervously, “I am the First Guardian of Hell.”
“First Guardian, how many guardians are there?” Maybe because she was the first, her strength was weaker but if their power exponentially grew then it would be troublesome for him to defeat them.
For now relying on his Titles and skills from the others were enough but that might change…
“There are Eight Guardians.” She hurriedly said in her panic, even through her terrified voice, he could faintly hear the wrath behind it as if she was going to bite him the next moment.
“Tell me if you have the ability to freeze things then what do the other seven guardians have and is your power the weakest among them?” He stared at her intently, he couldn’t care less about her thoughts, intel was more valuable than anything to him.
“The Second Guardian is a greedy fellow, he envies everything and his power is strange.” She hurriedly said.
“How is it strange?”
“I don’t know.”
“You really don’t know?” Eryke the Seventh brought his fist very close to her head.
“I really don’t.” She spoke while shaking her head with tears in her eyes.
“Hmm,” He looked at her carefully, he didn’t have his Aura Farming spell so he couldn’t actually tell whether she was lying or not.
“What about the other guardian?”
“The Third Guardian is really a flirty witch, she seduces men like drinking water.”
“The fourth?” He asked with a raise of his brows.
“I don’t know, I have never met the others before.”
“Final question, if I were to let you free will you obediently follow me or attack me?” Eryke the Seventh spoke in a deep voice, seeing every twitch of her expression intently.
