Chapter 352: Trapped!?
The pressure was increasing bit by bit, as if trying to burst apart his body.
He struggled to stand, thick blue veins almost like pipes bulged around his body, his muscles were cramping, squeezed by the terrifying power.
“It hurts.” A cry of pain tore from his throat as his pupils darted around, all he could see was a bright white room. He couldn’t sense any presence nor anything of the sort near him but the pain he felt was very real, it was as if the world itself was trying to tear him apart.
“Ahhh—” Eryke the Seventh kneeled on the ground again, his painful roar only growing stronger with time, red blood started to bleed away from his closed eyes, and his vocal cords felt broken.
Just then, a strange energy appeared out of his body, protecting him from the pressure.
“This….” he opened his bloodshot eyes and looked around the place in confusion, ‘What the hell is going on?’
[You have been banned entry by the World]
“That can happen too?” his pupils dilated from the shock, looking at the white background before him.
“Then what should I do?”
Eryke the Seventh knew what power helped him resist the power of this world, it was his <World Tamer> skill, this essentially gave him a guarantee that he wouldn’t be so helpless even if he were to face the rejection of the world.
Although fighting it would be another problem for another day.
“Now, what can I do?” Eyeing the place around, he walked forward aimlessly.
The walls of this white room felt so close to him as if he was just a few steps from reaching but as Eryke the Seventh took slow steps, he simply couldn’t.
One step… Two steps… Seven steps… Hundred steps…
Even so, he felt infinitely close to the white walls of this place but he never reached it. His eyes flickered in confusion.
‘What hell is going on?’
Eryke the Seventh still maintained a completely calm demeanour though as he continued to walk until an hour passed just like that.
Finally, he halted and closed his eyes.
Inside his mind, Grey appeared along with his Grimoires. Eryke the Seventh now in his soul form asked with a raise of his brows, “Do you know what is going on?”
It was a little awkward because even without speaking they could know each other’s thoughts but still Grey nodded his head, “Yes, I know it.”
“Then let’s do it.” Eryke the Seventh nodded his head firmly.
Grey looked at his Grimoires, “Anyone can help?”
The Grimories looked at each other with their pupils flickering in confusion, the first to raise her hand was a beautiful, mature woman none other than Lilith, the Diamond Soul Grimoire.
“Huh, what can you do?” Grey looked at her with a stunned expression, the Grimoire who should be the least helpful in the scenario was likely her, she was the Soul Grimoire and she was extremely useful in Soul-related stuff, even connecting to the other clones was possible because of her.
But a flicker of confusion appeared in his heart because the current scenario was absolutely nothing related to the souls, from all of his Grimoires, Grey least expected her to help out at all.
“I don’t know but I sense a lot of souls in this place, master.” Lilith said.
“Then do it.” Grey spoke resolutely.
Outside in the material world, Eryke the Seventh only seemed to have paused before he continued his advance again. Walking in this endless chasm of the white room without a direction for himself.
Even though it felt infinitely close to him, he knew that he would never reach it.
Just after a few more steps, the same pressure firmly pressed down on him, making him almost kneel on the ground. Luckily, it was quickly neglected by the <World Tamer> Title.
“This thing is really persistent.” Eryke the Seventh stood up from the ground, shaking his head.
All of a sudden, his body emitted a bright blue hue that lit up the entire white room, followed by painful screams echoing throughout the place. The sound felt like something that would make your soul feel a quiver, something that would similarly be made when a fork is rubbed over a metal case.
“This screeching sound,” he narrowed his eyes, “Sounds like it’s made by a ghost? Is this entire white room a ghost place?”
As the screams grew, the white room was gradually fading away. He watched as the entire place faded from existence, revealing complete darkness.
“What is this?” Eryke the Seventh thought with his heart trembling, his pupils darting around the place. For some reason, his instinct was blaring in alarm like crazy right now even more than before.
Before he could react, he felt countless presence around him, trying to attack him with a united invisible front.
Luckily, his body shone with a blue hue again, annihilating all of the ghosts or souls around him almost instantly.
“Looks like the power of Lilith is the most effective here.” he murmured in his heart, carefully looking around his surroundings.
Before he could react, haunting screams echoed in his ears again, luckily the blue light shone from his body instantly destroying all of them again, through the help of Lilith.
Then again the same thing happened again with Lilith wiping them out again. This loop went on, it was as if there was an endless supply of these souls.
Eryke the Seventh walked around the place, around this darkness where even the light seemed to be swallowed by it.
“Is this… hmm.” he narrowed his eyes, thinking carefully in his heart, something was missing here and he couldn’t exactly put his finger to it.
He suddenly raised his head up to the sky and pressed his legs against the ground, jumping high from the ground. In the endless darkness, it was very difficult for him to discern anything here but going up seemed like the most feasible option.
In the span of half an hour, Eryke the Seventh was still going up but the endless chasm of darkness never ended.
But at last, finally, he saw a red light flaring in the sky. His eyes lit up with excitement, “Finally,” he murmured, about to reach it, just then whispers rang in his ear and he felt a pull, forcing him down.
An unbearable force pressed down on him as if a whole mountain was trying to suppress him.
“Wh…”
Before he could react, gravity claimed him and he fell to the ground with a violent crash. The dust swirled from the ground, covering the entire place and Eryke the Seventh coughed violently again, wincing in pain.
“This… this…” he stood up from the ground, his vision covered by dust around him.
“The power that pulled me down, it seemed strange, that wasn’t the pressure I felt nor the soul attack I felt in the darkness.”
Since for now, going up seemed completely infeasible then he would have to look around the place for another solution.
Walking through the place aimlessly again, time passed in the blink of an eye, with the occasional attack from the souls only to be wiped out by Lilith, there was no danger around him and he walked endlessly.
A month passed just like that, Eryke the Seventh spent all of his time roaming aimlessly in this endless chasm of darkness.
Since there was no danger that he had encountered except for those persistent souls, he was pretty much in the homeground.
But now that he has spent so much time, he is already becoming leaner than before and his food consumption wasn’t going well either.
At this rate, he did die of starvation before anything else.
“Sigh, I hoped to at least find something but it seems the world is trying to trap me in this place forever.” Eryke the Seventh slumped to the ground in exhaustion.
He looked around with his tired heart, his long golden hair rustling with his movement but he found absolutely nothing which made him even more disappointed than before.
Finally Eryke the Seventh extended his hand forward and his figure gradually vanished from the place.
“Oh?” A surprised voice rang in the surrounding, the moment he felt. Thousands and millions of Souls immediately filled the darkness in the surrounding.

Eryke the Seventh returned back right inside the Million Gold Sect’s library, in front of Eryke and fell to the ground.
At this time, Eryke had just completed his book when he looked at the fallen figure of Eryke the Seventh, “Sigh, it seems that the fourth world would be more troublesome than even I did expect.”
“Indeed it is very troublesome.” Eryke the Seventh replied while taking heavy breaths.
“Hmm, what should we do now then?” Eryke touched his chin, contemplating, “Grey couldn’t help either, maybe if the <World Tamer> was upgraded again it might help out…”
“My own talent might have helped.” Eryke the Seventh spoke with a sigh, “But it seems it wouldn’t have helped either.”
“You have the <Resistant> talent right, that might have helped a little.” Eryke replied, “Should I upgrade and try for round two?”
“Sure.” Eryke the Seventh flexed his fist, already eager in his heart.
