Chapter 348: Geneva’s Level Up!?
“Level up?” Eryke thought back to when Geneva said she couldn’t use her powers while at level one.
Where would she get the Destiny Points from?
His eyes shifted to the little girl who was giggling nonstop. This little devil was supposed to be one of the chosen ones or something.
So maybe?
Eryke grew thoughtful for a moment. It seemed that for his clone, only a significant achievement would grant any Destiny Points, while if he were there himself, even a small task would give him a faint amount.
This thought also made him contemplate the other awakeners who had gone to other worlds.
No wonder some of them were able to survive after coming to another world. There was no denying that this small advantage gave them a marginal chance at survival.
“I wonder if that assistant of Gang Reyong, the sheer disciple, is also one?” Eryke sighed with a trace of regret in his heart. If he had been there himself, he might have earned an absurd amount of Destiny Points.
Unfortunately, even if he had been there, Eryke wouldn’t have been able to do exactly the same as the clone.
His eyes then shifted back to Geneva: “Do it. Level up, then. What were you waiting for?”
“It feels like I am not prepared for it,” Geneva said with a hesitant expression.
“Hmm?” He raised his eyebrows at her words, his pupils glossing over her again as he grew extremely thoughtful for a moment. “What are you not prepared for?”
“I don’t know, I just have a gut feeling about it,” she said with hesitation.
Eryke fell silent. He stared at her sternly and could tell she wasn’t lying, which only confused him further. What the hell was going on?
Was there really something wrong with the SS-Rank Awakeners?
“Hmm, try it. I’ll be here if something really happens,” he said without hesitation.
“But… but…” Geneva was still hesitant.
“It’s fine. Trust me.” Eryke looked straight at her, his blue pupils locking with her black ones.
“Alright.” She finally agreed, finding a little safety under Eryke’s shadow.
Geneva looked at her system and directly used all the accumulated Destiny Points, around two thousand, immediately leveling up her Water Mage Talent.
The moment she pressed, her entire body began to shine with a blue hue. It was so bright it almost felt like a blue sun.
At the same time, veins bulged across her body as she screamed in pain and agony, writhing and squirming without end.
Eryke quickly moved, raising his palm toward her. The Giant Sword Will, now sheathed in a scabbard, appeared behind him and began to hum with a sword rhythm that eased Geneva’s pain.
Geneva stopped screaming for a moment, only to scream even louder the next second.
“Hmm?” He frowned at the sight, muttering in his mind, ‘I need your help, Grey.’
Grey once again appeared in his mind, his Grimoires manifesting in their soul form.
“Hmm, what should I do?” He understood the situation of Eryke, who was trying to heal Geneva.
“Can you do anything about it, Lilith?”
“No, I cannot.” Lilith shook her head with a sigh. “If it were related to the soul, I could help. Unfortunately, it is not.”
“This will be troublesome.” Grey looked over all his Grimoires, most of which had barely any healing abilities.
Their power might be great, but very few possessed healing abilities.
Nyxaria, the succubus grimoire, grinned. “I might be able to help you, Master.”
Grey almost completely ignored her and instead focused on the others. “Anyone else?”
“This…”
Everyone looked at each other, feeling a little dumbfounded on the spot.
At that moment, the Mending Grimoire raised his hand. He was a man with glasses perched on his nose and dressed in casual clothes.
“Oh, right, you have that ability.” Grey’s mind clicked as he remembered and immediately activated its power from within Eryke’s mind.
The Mending Grimoire had greatly helped Grey during the battle against the Void Grimoire, but afterward he hadn’t come into play much. Now, however, he might be able to significantly aid Eryke.
A bright silver hue shone from Eryke’s hand and spread over Geneva. Her torn flesh began to knit back together, and the pain quickly subsided.
Relief washed over Geneva’s face as her body steadily healed.
“You help out as well,” Grey said from inside Eryke’s mind.
Eryke, his hand still extended, summoned a blue flame that completely engulfed Geneva’s figure once again.
Under the blue flames, Geneva’s wounds healed at an even faster rate. The pain almost completely vanished, and when the light finally faded, she collapsed to the ground.
Eryke hurried forward, checking her condition, and let out a sigh of relief. “Luckily, nothing happened to her.”
He carefully probed the changes in her body, but nothing seemed unusual, leaving him slightly puzzled.
Suddenly, Geneva’s eyes snapped open. She looked straight at Eryke and said, “I feel so much strength coursing through my body, Eryke. It feels like… like…”
“Like what?” Eryke asked, curiosity piqued. It was the first time he had seen a higher Talent Awakener. Though not as strong as his SSS-Rank, she was an SS-Rank, a very respectable level.
Barely a rank below him, yet still one of the strongest Awakeners on Earth in terms of Awakening.
“I feel like I’ve become one with the water itself,” Geneva said, extending her hand.
An ocean far, far away began to tremble and rumble, as if a massive tsunami had been unleashed. In the blink of an eye, nearly ten kilometers of water surged from the ground, lifting into the air and slowly moving toward her like a block of water.
Eryke stared at the colossal floating mass of water in the distance, his pupils nearly dilating. “Damn and this is just her reaching Level 2. I wonder how much further she could go if she reached even higher levels.”
The thought made his heart tremble slightly, the sheer scale was nothing short of massive.
