Chapter 346: The Mystery Of The Sheath!?
“Hehe.” Little Devil giggled as she hurriedly ran away from Eryke.

“I hope this little brat didn’t give you any trouble, Geneva.” Eryke turned to her with a smile.

“It’s no problem.” Geneva nodded and then turned toward Ma Zhilan. She still remembered the woman’s face, she had been at the auction when Geneva was being sold as a slave and had even issued a warning towards them

“Why is she here?”

A trace of confusion appeared on her face.

Eryke tilted his head toward the sky and spoke with pride, “Because I managed to destroy two of the top three sects, and the Sound Sect is now under my control as well.”

“What!?” Geneva looked at him with wide eyes.

“That’s right.” He nodded proudly. “The whole faction is under my control now.”

“Woah.” She opened her mouth, forming a wide “O.”

“Haha, are you merely surprised because of that?” Eryke laughed.

“As expected of an SSS-Rank Awakener,” Geneva said with a sigh, then her expression darkened as a thought crossed her mind.

“What’s wrong?” Eryke asked, immediately noticing her sadness. It was clearly not directed at him, which made him wonder where it was aimed.

“Sigh,” Geneva tried to speak but felt too embarrassed to continue.

He frowned deeper at her hesitation. “Tell me.”

“…Do you know about the branch head of the Awakener Association?” she asked.

“Your father? Is it the stuff that happened after I left Earth?” Eryke replied as he grew thoughtful.

“That’s right.” Geneva sighed. “He is my father. He and the others might be in trouble because of it.”

“For what?” Eryke raised his brows.

“Sending you into the gate alone without any help.”

“It was my own choice…” he said.

“Still, you are someone who should have been protected until you were allowed to level up,” Geneva explained.

“Oh, right.” Eryke rubbed the back of his head. He had almost forgotten that all new SSS-Rank Awakeners were protected and permitted to level up their talents within the gates.

The progress of Awakeners in another world was actually very minimal. Most of them were too weak to accomplish anything meaningful to accumulate destiny points, so they needed to grind gates immediately if they wanted to compete with the older Awakeners.

It was a very troublesome process.

This led to a significant power imbalance, especially during the Second Awakening, when Eryke awakened as well.

First, higher-talent Awakeners could be bossed around by lower-talent Awakeners simply because the latter’s level was higher.

This created an imbalance, and when the higher-talent Awakener leveled up, they would regain their footing, leading, of course, to another imbalance.

“So, what happened to your father, Rolf?” Eryke asked directly, getting straight to the point.

“Sigh… he and those who riled you up are being punished by the SSS-Rank Awakener,” Geneva explained.

“Oh?”

“Yes, and my father is also involved.” Geneva studied Eryke carefully. “Also, how did you know he was my father?”

“I knew because you two look related.” Eryke smiled.

“He is bald and I am… you…” Geneva trailed off, feeling speechless.

“Haha, I’m just pulling your leg. There’s nothing to worry about.” Eryke pointed at her as he patted her shoulder. “I saw your full name before.”

“Oh.” Geneva’s expression brightened. “Now what?” She looked around the place.

“First, tell me how they were punished,” Eryke asked.

“They had to explore the gate that you failed at.” She sighed.

“The gate that I failed at?” He raised his brows. That place was still completely occupied by the Leviathan.

The entire broken world had merged with it, and she was telling him that a bunch of them could possibly destroy the gate? Not in a million years would they be able to do that.

“Your father might be dead,” Eryke said, his expression utterly serious.

“Do… don’t say that…” Geneva’s voice croaked, tears welling in her eyes.

“Sorry.” He felt a pang of guilt seeing her tear-streaked face and bowed his head.

“It’s fine.” She rubbed her eyes. “Is this world faster or slower than Earth?”

“This one is four times faster,” Eryke explained. The Dragon and Telekinetic World was twice as fast, this one was four times, and the last Book Taming world was eight times faster, the difference was already apparent.

“There is still hope.” Geneva’s eyes sparkled as a fire rekindled within them.

“Then let’s go,” he said with a sigh.

“Are we going back?” she asked tentatively.

“Yeah, we’re going back.” He turned to Ma Zhilan. “Do you want to talk to her?”

“Sure,” Ma Zhilan said uncertainly as she walked up to Geneva, and the two women began whispering to each other.

Eryke gave them privacy to talk as he turned toward Little Devil, who was off in the distance, cheering and laughing loudly while playing around.

His brows twitched, and in the next moment, he appeared right in front of her.

“Little brat, didn’t I say you should focus more on your swordplay?”

“Eh? When did you say that?” the little devil asked innocently.

Eryke rubbed his forehead. This little girl was always troublesome, and in truth, he didn’t want to deal with her at all but he was forced to. Just seeing her made veins pop on his forehead.

“What do you want? First, tell me that,” he asked, staring straight at her.

“Show me your swordplay, master,” she said, sparkles reflecting in her eyes.

“Swordplay, huh.” Eryke extended his hand, and his aura surged from his body, gradually condensing into a sword that he clenched tightly, his Aura Sword.

Now that he had become a Fifth-Circle Mage, his Aura Sword was far stronger, not to mention the passive strengthening he gained from Aura Farming, which further amplified his aura.

This caused the strength of his Aura Sword to surpass the limits of most blades, which was why Eryke had never felt the need to seek another sword.

As he swung his Aura Sword, the very air began to vibrate and heat up, churning the surroundings.

His swings were swift and precise, each one carrying decisiveness and the full depth of his comprehension of the sword.

Every strike aimed at the vitals of unseen enemies and carried roughly 120% of his strength.

“Let me fight you, master!” Little Devil exclaimed, already excited. She drew her sword from its sheath and swung at Eryke.

Eryke didn’t retreat; he merely used the height difference to swing at her, his sword tip reaching her neck while hers couldn’t even reach him.

“Grow up, then you can fight me,” he chuckled.

“Hmph.” She backed away, circulated her Qi throughout her body, and launched another attack at Eryke.

Her sword movements were precise, but compared to Eryke, they fell short. She hadn’t even reached the Third-Stage Martial Realm, which would have granted her even more refined control, unfortunately, she hadn’t!

Even so, Eryke didn’t budge from his position. Every attack was countered effortlessly; not once did he need to defend himself with his sword.

After a short time, she was already exhausted and slumped to the ground, taking uneven breaths. “Why are you so strong?”

“I am the current strongest man in this Martial World,” Eryke proclaimed casually. He wasn’t wrong, he truly was the strongest at the moment. There was no denying it, at least on the surface.

“Hmph, you’re bragging,” she muttered.

“I still feel the need to swing my sword. You can rest for now.” Saying this, Eryke began moving his Aura Sword again, gradually becoming dazed, almost as if he were completely lost in his own Aura Sword.

Time lost all meaning for him as he swung again and again.

Little Devil stood from the ground, shook her head in disappointment, and quickly left, returning to Geneva and Ma Zhilan.

Seeing how monstrous Eryke was, she felt that even in a lifetime, she would never be able to defeat him, though that only discouraged her a little.

“Master’s wife, could you beat him up for me?” Little Devil grinned mischievously at Geneva.

Geneva immediately flushed. “How could I do that…?”

“Really? So you really are the master’s wife.” Little Devil looked at Ma Zhilan with a smug expression. “He even got bored of you and brought another… you should punish him for that…”

While the three were talking, Eryke continued swinging his sword in a trance.

He felt a connection to the blade unlike anything he had experienced before. Slowly, the sheath he had received from the Sect Leader of the Mount Hua Sect began to tremble in unison.

After a while, it flung away from his body and started rotating around him. Eryke, still lost in a trance with his Aura Sword, remained completely unaware of the sheath spinning around him.

His heart was racing, and his Sword Will poured out of his body, synchronizing with every swing of his sword.

The sheath grew larger and larger, nearly matching the size of the massive Sword Will that loomed behind him.

Then, all of a sudden, all his movements halted in place.
