Chapter 344: The World As The Playground!?
Night passed in the blink of an eye with Yi Xin sitting in a meditative pose the entire time.
When morning arrived, everyone prepared to leave, packing their belongings to continue their journey.
The monk and the taoist looked at Ye Xin, who hadn’t moved from his spot even once, and were thoroughly impressed.
“Amitabha, no wonder he is so powerful at such a young age. To sit and cultivate the dharma for so long shows his willpower,” the monk praised.
“Hmph, monk, stop your endless bootlicking,” the taoist sneered. “Do you know how many Martial Artists go through far more than him? Yet, have you ever seen someone as strong as he is and at his age too?”
“I know.” The monk accepted shamelessly. “Still, I am impressed by his determination. It isn’t by relying on talent alone that he achieved such things.”
“Do you truly think it was through talent?” the taoist questioned with doubt. “Martial Arts is never about talent alone. It depends on the resources you possess, the master who guides you, and the technique you cultivate.”
“Do you mean to suggest that…” The monk didn’t finish, but his eyes widened to their limits.
“His Martial Arts is strange. Haven’t you seen it yourself? I suspect he is a disciple of a hidden Transcendent Martial Artist—or perhaps someone even higher,” the taoist said with a sigh.
“Even higher than a Transcendent Martial Artist? Is that even possible!?” The monk had completely lost his composure.
“Don’t you know about the founder of our sect, bald monk?” the taoist asked, dumbfounded. “Did your muscles eat your brains too? Both of our founders were said to have surpassed the Transcendent Martial Realm and reached the Heavenly Realm.”
“Heavenly Realm, there is such a realm!?” The monk was utterly dumbfounded.
“I believe that was what it was called. In the Transcendent Realm, the merged Will of the body expands to its limit, forming a Dome. But once one reaches the Heavenly Realm, the Will extends so far that it merges with the world itself, the entire world becomes their Dome,” the taoist said with a yearning sigh.
“This… this…” The monk was trembling violently. “Then that means they can attack anyone, anywhere?”
“That’s right.” The taoist let out another sigh. “The world itself becomes their playground, they are like gods.”
“Terrifying.” The monk sucked in a cold breath. “But isn’t it true that there are no Heavenly Martial Artists in the world? The top three sects once had three Transcendent Martial Artists but now only one remains.”
“Who knows? They might just be hiding somewhere,” the taoist shrugged casually. “We don’t understand their methods. Personally, I’ve never even seen a Transcendent Martial Artist.” He rolled his eyes.
Both of them were merely Martial Trainees, with nothing more than a dantian inside their bodies. They couldn’t even manifest their Will, as they had yet to attain extreme mastery in any weapon.
They were actually at the very bottom of the sect’s hierarchy. The only reason they had been chosen as representatives was that their master favored them slightly more, believing the two held the broadest prospects.
Yi Xin abruptly rose from the stone, his eyes opening slowly to reveal a slightly different demeanor than before, one carrying a certain stillness, as if he had merged with the world itself.
“Ho.” He took a deep breath to calm his surging thoughts, then leapt down from the stone. Turning to the taoist and the monk, he spoke in a deep voice, “Are we going?”
“Yeah, we’re going,” the taoist hurriedly said with a smile.
“Why are you suddenly so pleasing to the eyes?” Ye Xin raised his brows.
“It’s because I want to bootlick you like the monk.” The taoist pointed at him and spoke honestly.
“You…” The monk’s face flushed with heat, a trace of embarrassment rising. “I…”
“You don’t have to explain, monk.” The taoist laughed with a grin. “He’s just pulling your leg. Even though you’re all muscles, you’re actually pretty cute.”
“Alright, alright,” the monk repeated with a sigh. “Amitabha, Buddha, forgive me for making the benefactor uncomfortable.”
“It’s fine, I wasn’t uncomfortable.” Ye Xin shrugged casually, then turned toward the taoist with raised brows. “Are we leaving now?”
“Yes,” the taoist replied.
Before long, the entire caravan set off, slowly making its way up the hills and slopes.
Soon after, they arrived at a large shelter and quickly settled in.
Yi Xin was given his own private residence, a castle-like estate with its own pond. The surroundings were peaceful, with birds chirping all around, creating a tranquil atmosphere.
He remained outside, standing straight and still.
The warm yellow rays spilled over his figure, making his long black hair glisten, though it was only coloring he had applied for now.
If he hadn’t done this, his true appearance would be revealed to everyone here. And since they had seen Eryke’s face before, suspicion would surely arise once that happened.
Yi Xin stood beneath the golden sun, its glow washing over him as he drew deep, labored breaths to steady his thoughts.
Turbulent Mana surged throughout his body, coursing through a precise pattern in his veins, so violent that his organs were simultaneously being disrupted and repaired.
While amidst the chaos, his body was growing stronger.
It was like a blacksmith hammering iron: the more it was struck, the stronger and more refined it became. An age-old, classical tale but without the proper pattern, Yi Xin would not have been tempered at all.
After some time practicing, he stepped inside the house and began calligraphy, his mind entirely focused.
Now, his mana circulated in an entirely different pattern, directly strengthening his soul. Though it seemed almost imperceptible, it was undeniably taking place.
The essence of the two Martial Arts was just this. But, once he achieved a significant breakthrough, the real training would begin, allowing him to even use techniques specifically designed after that point.
At his current rate of progress though it would take him a month just to reach that point.
