Chapter 167: Chapter 167: The Revolution of the Void Emperor
The small prison room currently held an incredible concentration of power and tension.

Evelina Frostheart, the defeated Saintess of Ice, stood facing the two most powerful women in the newly formed Void Empire: Seraphina and Lilith, the Empress Consorts. The irony of the situation was sharp; the women the Heavenly Gods intended to control were now his devoted wives.

Seraphina, radiating soft, warm Celestial Light, initiated the conversation, adopting a tone of gentle persuasion.

“Evelina, we did not come here to gloat. We came to offer you a path forward, a choice you were never truly given by the Heavenly Gods.”

Lilith leaned against the wall, her darkness aura coiling faintly around her, providing a stark contrast to Seraphina’s radiance.

“The truth is simple: the Divine Authority you served viewed you as property, a tool. Our husband, Vahn, broke our chains. He views us as equals, as Queens. We offer you the chance to join that liberation.”

Evelina scoffed, her icy blue eyes flashing with hatred. “Join a demon? Join the puppet of the Void Dragon God? I would sooner see this continent freeze entirely. Vahn Necrotis is a tyrant who destroyed centuries of righteous order. There is no kindness or compassion within him, only ruthless power.”

Seraphina sighed softly. “That ruthless power protects us, Evelina. He shields this entire world from threats far worse than a few conquered kingdoms. Vahn is merciless to his enemies, yes, but he is utterly devoted to his family and his people. He gave us freedom, respect, and a family.”

Lilith smirked, her tone becoming a sharp hook aimed at Evelina’s pride. “You could have the same position as us, Evelina. The Void Emperor has established a new order, and you, with your unique Purity affinity, would be a valuable asset to his court. You could also be a Consort, holding immense power and spiritual freedom, but only if you behave obediently and accept the new reality.”

“But,” Lilith added, letting the competitive sting sink in, “for that, you must first win Vahn’s heart. He doesn’t take wives lightly, unlike the kings you served. You would have to prove your loyalty, your competence, and your value to the Empire, not just your beauty.”

The conversation continued for what felt like hours, a psychological dance of sweet promises wrapped in the bitter reality of Vahn’s dominance. Seraphina highlighted Vahn’s fierce loyalty and protection of his dynasty; Lilith stressed the power, status, and freedom they now enjoyed—qualities Evelina, as a Saintess of Purity, secretly yearned for.

The unexpected approach, evoking not fear but jealousy and competitiveness, finally started to chip away at Evelina’s cold resolve. She had always prided herself on being the most revered, the most spiritually pure Saintess. Yet, here were two former Saintesses, now elevated to the status of Queens, free from the divine shackles she had suffered, flaunting a power and relationship she now realized was genuine.

They are truly free, the silent realization echoed in her heart. They don’t look like slaves. They look like Winners.

“And why would I trust the word of women who willingly bed a demonic spawn?”

Evelina challenged, attempting one last strike.

Seraphina merely smiled serenely. “We have seen his soul, Evelina. We know his heart. He fights for this world, and he fights for us. Your Gods abandoned you. He conquered you. Who is the truer power?”

With their mission accomplished—not to convert her, but to plant the seeds of doubt and self-interest—the duo left.

Lilith paused at the door, turning back to Evelina. “Think on this: The era of subservience is over. The Void Emperor rules now. You can either become a relic of a failed past, or you can become a pillar of a limitless future.”

The door hissed shut, plunging Evelina back into lonely silence.

Evelina walked to the small window, which offered a view of the towering, newly branded Imperial Palace. She snorted, muttering to herself, “Becoming that Tyrant’s puppet? Never. I will not submit to that monster’s barbaric rule.”

Yet, the image of Seraphina’s genuine happiness and Lilith’s fierce, unbound authority lingered. The seed of competition had been effectively planted.

However, she did not know that the upcoming days would shift her perspective of Vahn, the man, far more profoundly than any psychological warfare.

While Evelina wrestled with her conscience, Vahn was demonstrating exactly what true, decisive rulership looked like. He was not merely a conqueror; he was a revolutionary.

His first week in the Imperial City, Necrotis, was dedicated entirely to enacting sweeping, foundational changes aimed at improving the spiritual and material conditions of the ordinary populace—a process that had been stagnant for centuries under the rigid, self-serving rule of the noble and religious elite.

Vahn immediately initiated several diplomatic meetings, not just with the surviving noble families of the Holy Land, but with representatives from the common people and farmer collectives. His negotiations were simple, backed by the undeniable threat of his Armada.

They key steps were:

Land and Resource Distribution: He broke the stranglehold the ancient nobility held on the vast, fertile spiritual lands. Vahn dictated a new system where land and resources were distributed based on productive output, granting easy access to land and resources distribution for ordinary cultivators and citizens.

Abolition of Slavery: All forms of spiritual and labor slavery, previously rampant among the nobles, were abolished immediately, with severe penalties for non-compliance.

Vahn’s greatest revolutionary change came through the introduction of his Spirit Techs to civilian life.

Agricultural Innovation: Recognizing the persistent cold climate, Vahn introduced various new crops suitable for cold land, engineered through advanced spiritual crafting to thrive in the harsh environment. He also unveiled automated Spirit-powered irrigation systems, drastically increasing the food supply and spiritual vitality of the region.

Infrastructure and Transport: Using the principles learned from his Warships, Vahn began mass production of transport vehicles using Spirit Engines. These hovercraft and mag-lev systems drastically cut down travel time and logistics costs across the vast continent, allowing goods and resources to be moved efficiently for the first time in generations. This shattered the regional power monopolies held by warlords who controlled the main mountain passes.

Educational Reform: He established the Imperial Academy of Spirit Techs, forcing the recruitment of talented youth from the common ranks, not just the nobility, promising them training in the advanced spiritual crafting and engineering required to maintain the Void Empire’s technological edge.

Vahn did whatever it took to make the stagnant Kingdoms and Empires of the Southern Continent prosper and improve to a level that had been unthinkable for centuries. He poured spiritual resources into public works, not private noble coffers.

The time for Revolution had come, and Vahn was personally leading it.

The common people, witnessing the sheer, practical benefit of his “tyranny,” were quickly turning their fear into awe, and their awe into loyalty.

The nobles, meanwhile, were forced to adapt or face ruin, realizing that Vahn’s system was economically self-sustaining and ultimately impossible to resist. The Void Emperor wasn’t just conquering territories; he was changing the very societal and economic fabric of the world.
