Chapter 877: A Monster
A heavy silence followed the two minor gods’ departure from the throne hall. The angels remained completely still, their legs trembling with fear as the air grew unbearably heavy with tension.

Corvan slowly emerged from his daze, the weight of the atmosphere pressing down on him—an all-too-familiar pressure that reminded him of facing the man who had shattered his arrogance without even lifting a finger.

“Y-Your Highness… I have failed you…” Corvan lowered his head in shame and sorrow, tears rolling down his cheeks. “I was powerless to do anything…”

The King of the Gods remained silent. His expression didn’t shift even slightly, cold as ice as he stared at Corvan without blinking.

“Tell me everything in detail—what happened at the Elven Kingdom… and how many gods we lost.” the God King finally spoke, his voice cutting through the silence like a razor.

“A-All of them… we lost all of them. No one survived that mortal… he is far too ruthless!” Corvan answered in a trembling voice, his expression filled with hopelessness as he looked up at the God King.

“,,” The God King was visibly shocked by the revelation, his eyes widening as his expression shifted into disbelief.

“All of them died? That’s impossible! We’re talking about gods, not some lowly mortal! How could they all die?!” He shot up from his divine throne, unable to accept what he was hearing.

“Your Highness, please believe me… everyone who went with me is dead. No one else survived—only me…” Corvan said with a heavy sigh, staring up at the ceiling with a defeated, broken look.

“That mortal—No! We can’t call him a mortal anymore! He’s a monster! A monster that looks like a man… an incarnation of the devil himself! That’s what he is!” Corvan shouted, gritting his teeth as he struggled to contain both his rage and his emotions.

For several moments, Corvan continued explaining everything that had happened in the Elven Kingdom. He described it all—every scene, every detail—exactly as he remembered it.

The King of the Gods listened in shock, his eyes widening further with every word. He couldn’t believe he had overlooked someone capable of slaughtering gods without even moving a finger.

Though horrified by the mortal’s strength, the God King was equally intrigued by the mysterious power the mortal possessed—

A power capable of killing gods as effortlessly as flipping one’s hand.

A power far too dangerous for a mortal to wield.

A power that could become a threat even he might not be able to stop.

‘This is a severe problem for us… a powerful threat that keeps growing stronger and stronger…’ The God King thought, lowering his gaze to the floor.

He clenched his fists and gritted his teeth in frustration, then dragged his palm across his face and stared at Corvan through the gap between his fingers.

“Did you manage to learn what kind of power that mortal—no, that monster—used against all of you?” he asked, his voice low and heavy, filling the throne hall with tension.

“Surely you didn’t return here empty-handed… is that right?”

Corvan’s expression stiffened at those words. He had expected this question eventually, but not so soon—not when he was already struggling to hold himself together.

“Y-Your Highness, that monster’s ability is… extraordinary. Something unlike anything I’ve ever seen or heard in my entire life,” Corvan said, his voice trembling with fear. “He called this power ‘Killing Intent.’ Aside from the name, I know nothing else about it.”

After a short pause, he continued, “From the way he spoke… it seemed like this power was a direct manifestation of his desire to kill.”

“What I witnessed was bizarre… completely unexplainable. Something beyond my knowledge—and terrifyingly powerful.” Corvan grit his teeth as the memory resurfaced, stabbing into his mind like a blade.

He clutched his head with both hands, gripping his hair with a horrified expression.

“That power… it wasn’t normal. It felt like something from outside this world. Even our enchanted armors failed to protect us… I watched the impossible happen as all my companions died because of that power!” Corvan shouted, his voice cracking as he spiraled deeper into panic.

The God King was stunned by Corvan’s current state. The once-fearless Divine Knight now looked broken—an empty shell of the man he used to be, completely changed within a single night.

—

A few days passed since the incident with the gods, and the Elven Kingdom had already recovered from the supposed catastrophic event that never truly occurred.

The citizens returned to their everyday lives with relief, grateful beyond words after learning that Yuan had slaughtered the invading gods. Because of this, the elves held an even deeper respect and gratitude toward him.

Inside the palace, Mireya and Sylvia were packing their belongings, taking only things that held emotional value. Anything else felt meaningless to them now.

They already possessed enough gold to live in luxury for tens of thousands of years. If they ever needed anything in the future, they would simply buy it.

But this place—the Elven Kingdom—was their birthplace, and because of that, their hearts carried deep emotional ties to it. Yuan even donated a few thousand gold coins to help build new infrastructure for the kingdom.

Building this kingdom stronger than ever, so that no nation would dare to harm it or wage war against the Elven Kingdom in the future.

“Will Kitsura return tomorrow?” Aisha asked with a soft smile as she sat on Yuan’s lap, gently leaning against him.

“I hope so… after all, she still has duties to fulfill before stepping down from her position and appointing a new candidate to lead her village toward prosperity,” Yuan responded with a quiet sigh.

“Anyway, once she returns, we will start our journey to the Demonic Continent immediately. We can’t delay anymore—we’ve already spent too much time here.”

Aisha raised her eyebrows slightly, watching him for a few moments. She couldn’t understand why Yuan seemed so eager to go to the Demonic Continent.

‘What could he possibly need from that cursed land? Is there something valuable hidden deep within the Demonic Continent? Perhaps a powerful spiritual artifact?’ she wondered silently.

Moments later, Vrasha entered the room with heavy footsteps. Because of her large build, her steps were naturally loud—and Yuan and Aisha recognized them instantly.

“What are you two chatting about? Mind if I join?” she asked with a bright smile, standing before them.

“Of course. Have a seat, Vrasha,” Aisha replied with a smile. “We were talking about our departure from this continent and heading to the Demonic Continent.”

“The Demonic Continent… I’m actually very excited about it. I’ve heard you can find some of the most fearsome races there.” Vrasha spoke with pure excitement, her eyes gleaming with anticipation.

With a smirk, she continued, “I’ve heard that the Vampire Clan lives there too. A bunch of blood-sucking lunatics—leeches, to be precise.”

“Aside from the Vampire Clan, there are also the Undead, Ghouls, and Werewolves. All of them are supernatural races who rule over the Demonic Continent. And they all serve the Demon Emperor—the strongest being in the Demonic Continent.”

“It’s said his strength rivals that of a god, or even a pure-blooded Dragon. And not just him—every member of the demon race is exceptionally strong.”

“I’d love to test my strength against a demon if I get the chance,” Vrasha finished with an excited grin, her gaze shifting to Yuan.

“I’m sure you’ll definitely have a chance. And honestly, I don’t think the demon race will handle you very well. But still, it won’t hurt to try,” Yuan said with a nod and a smile.

“Absolutely!” Vrasha chuckled softly.

A couple of moments later, Emma and Nyx arrived in the room. Both mother and daughter looked stunning as they walked gracefully toward the sofa.

“Is Lady Kitsura still not here yet?” Emma asked Yuan with a soft smile before sitting beside him.

Yuan shook his head and said, “No. She hasn’t returned yet. She said she would be back by tomorrow, so she will likely arrive then.”

“I see… So when are we leaving this place?” Emma asked.

“If Kitsura returns tomorrow, we will set out immediately,” Yuan explained. “Since we’ll be flying, there’s no need to waste any time.”

“You’ll have to carry your mother until we arrive at the Demonic Continent. After all, your mother isn’t a cultivator like us.”

“There’s no problem with that,” Emma replied immediately with a smile.

Shortly after Nyx and Emma arrived, Mireya and Sylvia entered the room.

“We’ve finished packing our belongings. We’re ready to go anytime,” Sylvia said with excitement, her eyes sparkling brightly.

“Good. We’ll head out once Kitsura returns from her village,” Yuan said with a gentle smile.

The following day, Kitsura returned to the Elven Kingdom, just as she had promised Yuan and the others. She wasn’t carrying anything since Yuan had already given her a spatial ring.

She wore a seductive red outfit that perfectly matched her style and appearance. She looked so gorgeous that Yuan couldn’t take his eyes off her enchanting figure.

“Hehe~” Kitsura let out a seductive chuckle and winked at him playfully, clearly teasing him with her looks.

“Yuan, tell me—how do I look?” She struck a seductive pose with a small smirk before asking, “Do I look beautiful?”

“You look absolutely stunning, Kitsura,” Yuan said with a small smile, though his eyes kept drifting toward her cleavage.

“Fufu~ Aww, you really have a sweet tongue, my dear,” Kitsura giggled softly, her voice sweet and pleasant to the ears.

“Well then, shall we head out now? Remember, we need to cross the storm surrounding the Demonic Continent before nightfall,” Kitsura reminded them a few seconds later.

“We’re ready. Let’s go,” Yuan responded with a nod before leading everyone outside the palace.

Shortly after, Yuan’s group headed toward the edge of the Beast Continent, heading in the direction of the Demonic Continent.

Meanwhile, in the shadows of the forest, several figures moved quietly the moment they saw Yuan and his wives leaving the Elven Kingdom.
