Chapter 335: 36th Floor
“Another reward? The power system again going to be changed. Sure enough,” Ethan sat down again to choose.

Ethan went to the skill section directly and chose the divine and final version of the “Oblivion Requiem” technique.

“This technique is on par with my Singularity Requiem technique. Will it evolve again?”, Ethan thought in his mind.

Ethan sat down and read the technique.

“Sure.”

“This technique won’t help me for the next six levels, but it will be a great help in the future,” Ethan thought.

He had obtained his final sword technique. He could use it from now on without changing it again.

Ethan appeared on the 31st floor. The guardian with a pen was waiting for him there.

He possessed tremendous power, but Ethan sensed that this guardian’s presence was different from the others. He felt like an elder; the other guardians Ethan had faced before were like ordinary soldiers.

“Another one?” the man said in surprise. He still had lingering fear from the earlier demon attack.

He did not waste a moment before attacking.

But Ethan was ready. As soon as he appeared he activated the Tyrant of the Fourth Dimension form.

And attacked the guardian.

The guardian again drew a barrier with his pen, but the instant the attack struck him, his eyes blurred with tears.

“This is not fair. Why are golden seal level powerhouses appearing today one after another? Who the hell said it is just a mausoleum? Damn it,” he said it before dying in frustration.

“What’s wrong with this guy? Why so aggressive? Did I do something terrible to him in the past? Or did I never arrive at this floor at all?” Ethan wondered after killing the guardian.

The same happened for the next four levels too. He had used up twenty-five seconds and reached the 35th floor.

Ethan did not reply. He was eager to know what the 36th floor looked like. The tower was impressive, but not stimulating enough to hold his interest.

Outside the tower there were thirty people. Fifteen were candidates and fifteen were their guardians.

But these guardians were not like the 0th-dimensional beings Aren had faced before.

Each of them was a 30th-dimensional being and one of the highest-ranked protectors stationed in their family.

They were surrounding a young man: Aren Celestus.

After the previous group returned to their families and reported about Aren and Ethan,every family sent their upper echelon to negotiate.

Ethan’s success did not cause much noise because Aren was the one who had reached and defeated the 35th floor. He was the first person in history to do so.

Moreover, Aren did not belong to any Origin Family, so the highest beings from the families had personally come to handle the matter. Three more origin families caught wind of the news and sent people as well.

The ancient demon inside Aren’s body cursed everyone.

It had planned to break through calmly and then vanish into the world. After making the body powerful enough, it intended to seize control of the mausoleum. Now these annoying people had appeared out of nowhere.

With its current power, it couldn’t kill them all, so it could only tolerate their pestering.

“Boy, I am from the Griffin Family. We have three origin beings in our family. Join us and you will never lack resources,” said one of the supreme beings.

“I am from the Alistair Family. We have four origin beings in the family and we are one of the three star families in the 36th Sky. Join our family and you will reach have everything you desire.”

Everyone offered him tremendous benefits, but Aren only wanted to escape.

“Supreme One, that guy Ethan has entered the 36th floor,” one of the candidates said with a trembling voice.

“What gives you the audacity to speak while I am speaking?” the guardian of his family snapped, but then he heard what the candidate said and checked the ranking.

The 36th floor, which no one thought would ever light up, was now blazing brightly.

They stopped arguing with Aren and turned their attention to the tower. Ethan became their main focus right now.

“Looks like the time of Chaos is arriving. So many geniuses appearing.”, the guardians sighed at once.

Aren heaved a sigh of relief, but he was also surprised. He knew how powerful the floor guardians were, and he felt a certain doom from the 36th floor.

“How did he do that? I should have taken his body instead,” the demon inside Aren regretted.

“It is not too late. Let him come out. I will follow him and find a chance to take his body,” thought the demon with a sinister grin.

Ethan arrived.

There was a village-like scene: paddy fields, a river, and a small hut.

In front of the hut an old man sat in a chair sipping tea.

“Little one, come here. Let us have a chat,” the old man said without looking at him.

[Master, this old man is above an Origin Being. I do not know how this is possible, but he is. Please be calm and do not activate the protocol. I cannot sense his power limit, Master.]

Ethan was surprised to learn that someone above an Origin Being resided on this floor.

For some reason, he did not feel pressure from the man.

“Man, I am getting cocky for no reason. Even my system is unsure how powerful this man is, and here I am not afraid of him. Looks like the Origin Realm is not the final point of cultivation,” Ethan mused to himself.

He slowly walked to the table and sat in a chair facing the man.

“Little friend…” the old man began.

“Huh? Why can I not say anything?” For the first time in his life, the old man looked bewildered.

He intended to ask Ethan why he had become like this compared to his past powerful self, but the moment he was about to speak his tongue stopped.

A supreme law restrained him. A restriction had been applied.

“The pesky laws of this mausoleum dare to silence me? Do they want to vanish from existence? But most important question is who this man is that the law dares to risk its own existence for,” the old man thought with confusion.

But he did not push against it.

Instead he smiled at Ethan.

“My friend, I invite you to join the Realm of Ascension. Would you like to consider it?”

Ethan looked at the old man and then at the young woman at his side.

Yumiko had said this woman was stronger than an Origin Being as well.

“You two are not forces from this Origin Dimension, are you?”
