Chapter 272: A seventh dimensional enemy
Jake went with Selina, and Ethan followed them.

“They didn’t enter the battlefield?” he thought in his mind.

Selina and Jake entered a luxurious car and left for their destination.

“Ma’am, my master never told me about the Mage Association. Was he an important figure in the Association?”

Selina’s eyes turned sad when she heard the question.

“Your master, the Inferno King, was one of the pillars of the Association. And not only that, he was one of the strongest existences on Earth. He was the guardian of the southern region of Earth.”

After saying that, she stopped.

Jake was stunned when he learned this. His master was such an awesome man?

When he met him, that man looked like a beggar.

Jake went inside his memory.

“Hey kid, do you want to learn magic? If you give me money.”

Jake smiled to himself when he remembered that.

Soon their car arrived at the airport, and their private jet took off from there.

The jet then started going above the Amazon forest.

“Jump.”

Selina asked Jake to jump from the jet.

“Are you crazy? I’ll die if I jump from here!”

Jake screamed out.

Selina didn’t give a damn about his feelings and pushed him from the plane. She also followed him.

Jake started screaming like a pig and closed his eyes. He was waiting for his death.

“Just shut the fuck up, will you? Open your eyes.”

He heard Selina’s voice from behind and opened his eyes. They were floating in the air.

“You can fly? How cool is that?”

His pale face instantly regained color.

Then they flew inside the dense forest.

“The Amazon rainforest? They still haven’t fully explored it yet. I’m sure there are some mysteries here too,” Ethan thought, closely following them.

After flying at high speed, Selina stopped in front of a giant old tree. There was a huge cave below it.

She entered the cave, and a secret door opened from the ground.

They entered, and soon everything started to look modern.

They were going down in a high-tech lift.

“The headquarters is 5 km underground,” Selina said, giving Jake instructions and details about the headquarters.

After going down for a while, the lift finally reached its destination.

There were many researchers in white coats walking around. The headquarters of the Mage Association was actually a super high-tech base.

They were doing scientific research on how to become more powerful and how to make low-level mages stronger. The threat they faced far surpassed normal margins.

“The headquarters is empty. Most of the higher-ups are inside the battlefield. We didn’t enter because we have to keep the base safe,” Selina said from the side.

Jake could only nod.

Suddenly, a man in elegant clothes appeared before them and looked at Jake with interest.

“Oh my, is he the Inferno King’s only disciple?”

Selina nodded and looked at Jake.

“He is Arahan, the chief disciple of the President, and also now acting as the substitute president in his absence.”

They were talking. Meanwhile, Ethan was touring the entire base. He wanted to know the secret records of the Mage Association.

Where did those enemies come from—the ones they fought?

So he spread out his mental domain. In the chamber of the President, which was not even accessible to Arahan, Ethan entered.

He started searching for any kinds of documents that might give him answers.

But he had a hunch that the President might have taken all the important documents with him.

But who was he? Getting such mortal things was nothing to him.

He started reversing time in the room. Soon, everything that had happened before began to appear in front of his eyes. He could reverse up to thousands of years, so he gathered information patiently.

Soon he saw the President—his secrets, documents, and everything.

Ethan’s eyes widened. That man was actually a Tier 20 existence. So he was not in the battlefield—that was for sure.

He already knew where he was. The President was not a human being. He was a kind of existence like the Ancient One from the Marvel universe.

He was fighting the Hell Dimension, and he was also a creature from Hell.

“How does this entity function here? I’m sure those rulers don’t know about him. If they did, they wouldn’t have sent a Tier 18 here.”

Ethan tried to see further into the past, but the man didn’t fight anyone in this room or talk about the mechanism of this entire situation.

The waters of Earth ran even deeper than he thought.

While he was thinking, time was still being reversed.

But suddenly, everything stopped.

A terrifying voice roared in his head,

“Who are you? Trying to see something you shouldn’t have? You should just die!”

Ethan’s ears and eyes started bleeding. This had happened a long time ago, but since becoming this powerful, he had never faced such a situation.

Ethan was about to fall to the ground.

A tremendous karmic attack came toward him.

If this attack hit him, all his karma would vanish from the world—that would mean true death.

But the karmic attack was blocked by an unknown barrier, and he heard a loud scream in his head.

“Ahhhh! No! How could this be? How? Who are yo—”

Before it could finish its question, the connection vanished.

Ethan could guess what had happened. The karmic attack was blocked by the system, and that unknown entity suffered a backlash.

“System, what just happened?”

“A seventh-dimensional being just attacked you, master. I blocked his attack, and he got injured because of it. But I’m sure he will send more of his pawns to hunt you down, and they won’t be normal enemies, master. You are truly in trouble now.”

“A seventh-dimensional being? What the fuck is he even trying to do with Earth? Damn it.”

He was tense because the system had never said something like this before.

“Okay, he probably can’t enter the 3rd dimension, then I wouldn’t have to worry much. But if he could, then that would be game over for me.”
