Chapter 450: Another Human Form
The golden pillar of light struck Feng Xiyan, flooding the surroundings with radiant brilliance.
Standing before him, Bai Hanyun couldn’t open her eyes due to the intensity of the light. But having already experienced it several times, she remained calm.
As she waited for her vision to adjust, deep within the pillar, Feng Xiyan’s eyes slowly turned golden. Sensing a gaze descending upon him from above, he raised his head.
There, within the center of the golden light pillar, a pair of gentle, divine eyes gazed down at him.
The moment Feng Xiyan’s golden eyes met that colossal pair, unbearable pain crashed through his mind.
“Ugh—” he groaned, clutching his head.
A flood of images rushed through his vision, too fast to grasp, then vanished as suddenly as the pain did.
Blinking a few times, Feng Xiyan quickly looked upward, but the eyes were gone.
Meanwhile, inside his dantian, the Yin Mirror opened her eyes. Seeing the vast merits surging into her soul, her eyes flickered briefly before she immediately entered a meditation state to absorb them.
Standing behind Bai Hanyun, the Yang Mirror’s expression was filled with eagerness and excitement.
Several minutes later, the golden pillar faded as silence returned to the surroundings.
Sensing the change in the surrounding atmosphere, Bai Hanyun opened her eyes and blinked until her vision cleared. Seeing Feng Xiyan sitting cross-legged, she didn’t disturb him. Instead, she turned to the Yang Mirror.
“This is the first time two golden pillars appeared simultaneously. Something major must have happened. Yang Mirror, do you know why the second one appeared?”
Yang Mirror looked away from Feng Xiyan and replied, “I don’t know.”
Glancing at Feng Xiyan again, he added, “But it should be a good thing.”
Just as he spoke, a streak of golden light suddenly shot out from Feng Xiyan’s dantian.
Before Bai Hanyun could react, Yang Mirror dashed forward, shouting excitedly, “Wife!”
Startled by his sudden action, Bai Hanyun quickly turned around and saw a beautiful woman shrouded in luminous golden particles standing beside Feng Xiyan.
Leaping toward her, the Yang Mirror latched onto her thigh and wailed, “Wife! You don’t know how much I missed you! It’s been over twenty thousand years since I last saw you! Waaaa~ Wife~ I missed you so much—!! Wahhh!”
Looking at her husband clinging to her leg, sobbing until snot flew everywhere, the Yin Mirror gently kicked him aside and calmly said, “Stop crying. You look disgraceful.”
Afraid to be disdained by his wife, the Yang Mirror hiccuped and forced himself to stop crying.
The Yin Mirror sighed helplessly at his pitiful expression. Extending her hand, she said gently, “The ground is cold. Get up.”
The Yang Mirror looked up with teary eyes, then beamed. Taking her hand, he hugged her and said proudly, “I know you still love me the most!”
With the Yang Mirror squeezing her tightly and refusing to let go, the Yin Mirror turned her gaze to Feng Xiyan. Seeing that he was still deep in meditation, she then looked at Bai Hanyun.
Gently pushing the Yang Mirror away, the Yin Mirror bowed with a gentle smile on her lips. “You must be my husband’s Master. Please accept my respect, Fairy Bai.”
Bai Hanyun moved to bow in return, but a wave of warm wind lifted her upright.
Startled by this, she looked up to see the Yin Mirror smiling softly. “Fairy Bai, I can’t accept your bow.”
Bai Hanyun silently pondered her words, then looked at Feng Xiyan and asked, “What about Feng Xiyan? Is he alright?”
Sensing her concern, Yin Mirror answered, “Rest assured, Fairy Bai. My Master is fine. He is simply undergoing a breakthrough.”
“Breakthrough? How come he can break through and I can’t?” Bai Hanyun asked curiously.
The Yin Mirror chuckled lightly at her words. “Fairy Bai, my Master is a martial arts practitioner. His internal energy can strengthen his body, so he can naturally advance through martial realms when blessed by the Heavenly Dao.”
“As for you, you don’t possess any energies in your body, so the bestowed merits flowed entirely into my husband, allowing him to break through three realms, reaching the Earth God Realm at once.”
After hearing this, Bai Hanyun turned to look at the Yang Mirror and smiled.
When he saw her smiling at him, a shiver ran down the Yang Mirror’s spine.
Scooting closer to his wife, he warned cautiously, “Don’t even think about it, girl. I didn’t steal your merit. It’s you who couldn’t absorb it. It’s not my fault.”
“Besides, if I didn’t absorb the merits, they would have scattered and vanished. What a waste that would be, right?”
Bai Hanyun nodded in agreement. “You are right.”
Caught off guard by her easy acceptance, Yang Mirror’s confidence surged. “See? If it weren’t for me, all that hard-earned merit would have just disappeared!”
Bai Hanyun nodded rapidly at his words.
Seeing this, the Yang Mirror left the Yin Mirror’s side and walked proudly toward Bai Hanyun.
Shaking her head at this sight, Yin Mirror sighed inwardly, ‘This fool would happily count money for Fairy Bai even after she sold him off.’
During all this, Feng Wu had been guarding Feng Xiyan. When he sensed a shift in the air, he quickly knelt before him.
Moments later, Feng Xiyan exhaled a turbid breath and slowly opened his eyes. The first thing Feng Xiyan saw was Feng Wu’s face.
“What are you doing?” he asked calmly.
Feng Wu’s eyes brightened when he saw him open his eyes. “Master, are you alright?”
Feng Xiyan moved his arms, then stood up and nodded. “I’m fine.”
After speaking, he immediately looked around for Bai Hanyun, but spotted a beautiful woman standing nearby. Feeling an instinctive familiarity, he asked, “Who are you?”
The Yin Mirror smiled and bowed slightly. “Master, it’s me.”
Recognizing that calm, ethereal voice, Feng Xiyan raised an eyebrow. “Yin Mirror? You have gained a human form as well?”
The Yin Mirror nodded softly. “Yes.”
Seeing his wife smiling at another man, the Yang Mirror immediately became displeased.
