Chapter 449: Human’s Form, Vows
The handsome man smiled at Bai Hanyun and said, “Girl, I didn’t expect you to recognize me at first glance. Not bad.”
Hearing that familiar, irritating tone, Bai Hanyun ignored his comment and asked, “Yang Mirror, since when can you take human form?”
“Just now,” the Yang Mirror replied before looking up at the sky.
Noticing that the golden particles were nearly gone, he flew toward Bai Hanyun. Just as the golden pillar of light dispersed, he caught her in his arms before she could fall.
Below, Feng Xiyan finally opened his eyes, only to see his fiancée in the arms of a stranger. Instantly, murderous intent surged from his body, and he drew his black sword.
“Presumptuous! Let Yun’er go!” Feng Xiyan charged forward with a fierce swing of his blade.
Seeing this, Bai Hanyun quickly shouted, “Feng Xiyan, wait!”
Feng Xiyan’s eyes reddened at her words. Seeing Bai Hanyun try to protect the stranger, his heart felt as if a sword pierced it. So unbearably painful.
Though heartbroken, he stopped and asked in disbelief, “Yun’er… why?”
Bai Hanyun immediately understood his misunderstanding when she saw his wounded expression.
She slapped the Yang Mirror’s arm and snapped, “Still not putting me down? Do you want to get killed by him?”
The Yang Mirror snorted and retorted in dissatisfaction, “He doesn’t have that ability.”
After the Yang Mirror set her down, Bai Hanyun walked toward Feng Xiyan. Before she could speak, he pulled her into his arms.
“Yun’er, who is he?” he asked cautiously.
Hearing the tremor in his voice, Bai Hanyun paused. ‘Why does he sound so anxious… and afraid?’
Though puzzled, she didn’t question him. “He is the Yang Mirror.”
Feng Xiyan froze at her words. “The Yang Mirror?” he asked as he looked at the handsome man standing behind Bai Hanyun.
Bai Hanyun nodded and explained, “I don’t know how he suddenly transformed into human form, but he is indeed the Yang Mirror.”
While Feng Xiyan was still processing this shocking news, the Yang Mirror suddenly rushed toward him.
“Wife!” Yang Mirror shouted excitedly, grabbing Feng Xiyan’s waist and leaning toward his lower abdomen to kiss it.
The next second, Feng Xiyan’s foot was already planted in his face. Using his full strength, he kicked the Yang Mirror, sending him flying away.
Bang!
Grinding his teeth, Feng Xiyan hissed word by word, “Fuck. Off.”
It was the first time Bai Hanyun had ever heard Feng Xiyan curse. She looked at the Yang Mirror sprawled on the ground with a shoe-print on his face, then at Feng Xiyan’s thunderous expression.
Shuddering at Feng Xiyan’s icy aura, Bai Hanyun silently lit a candle for Yang Mirror in her heart. ‘Brother… may you survive in one piece.’
“Aiyo—!” Yang Mirror groaned as he stood up, rubbing his face. He shot Feng Xiyan a hateful glare and questioned him, “Why did you kick me?!”
Feng Xiyan ignored him and turned to Bai Hanyun, anxiously explaining, “Yun’er, he is talking nonsense! You are my only wife! I don’t have a husband!”
Bai Hanyun blinked at him—then burst into laughter. “Ha ha ha ha!”
Seeing this, Feng Xiyan nearly ground his teeth into dust. Turning toward the Yang Mirror, he pointed his black sword at the Yang Mirror and roared, “Explain to Yun’er right now that we have no relationship! Otherwise, don’t blame me for cutting your throat!”
By then, the golden pillar had already vanished.
Wiping the footprint off his cheek, Yang Mirror pouted. “Do you think I want to be near you, a smelly man? If you weren’t my wife’s master, I wouldn’t even spare you a glance!”
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun suddenly remembered something and asked, “Right—since you can take human form now, why haven’t we seen the Ying Mirror? And what exactly happened just now? How did you suddenly gain a human body?”
Yang Mirror shook his head. “I don’t know why my cultivation suddenly broke through three stages at once. However, I’m sure you just did something incredible that changed the world. That’s why the Heavenly Dao blessed us with huge merit.”
Standing beside Bai Hanyun, Feng Xiyan looked thoughtfully at the dark clouds overhead.
“…Could it be because of this rain?” he asked uncertainly.
Hearing this, Yang Mirror also glanced upward. After thinking briefly, he began calculating fate with his fingers.
A few seconds later, his eyes widened. He looked at Bai Hanyun, shock gleaming in his golden eyes. “Girl… it really is because of the rain!”
“Huh? How can this rain cause the Heavenly Dao to grant us such massive merit? If that’s true, then shouldn’t we have gotten a lot of merit when Feng Xiyan summoned rain back in Xiqiang City?” Bai Hanyun asked doubtfully.
Yang Mirror shook his head in confusion. “I’m also not sure about this. My cultivation has barely recovered. I still can’t peek into Heaven’s secrets.”
Seeing her slight disappointment, Yang Mirror quickly added, “But now, I can create a permanent space and time portal! Girl, shouldn’t you be happy? You can travel between the two worlds freely from now onwards!”
The second he said this, Bai Hanyun’s eyes lit up instantly. She walked up to Yang Mirror and tried to pat his shoulder, only to realize she was too short.
She frowned slightly and ordered, “Bend down.”
Instinctively, Yang Mirror bent toward her, looking confused.
Satisfied with his obedience, Bai Hanyun patted his shoulder cheerfully. “Well done!”
Puffed up with pride, Yang Mirror straightened his waist, lifted his chin, and announced, “Hmph! This is nothing. When I recover my full cultivation, I can even take you to the God Realm to play and meet my master!”
While the two were busy boasting and praising each other, Feng Xiyan’s mind began racing.
‘A permanent space–time portal…? Does that mean unlimited resources? Does that mean that in the future, the common people will have enough food, water, and clothing?’
The more he thought about it, the more excited he became. Gripping his sword tightly, Feng Xiyan’s eyes burned with determination.
‘Since Heaven allowed me to meet Yun’er and form a fate with the Yin Yang Mirror, then I, Feng Xiyan, vow to bring peace to this world to repay Heaven’s grace.’
The moment he made this vow, a massive golden pillar descended from the sky, piercing through the thick dark clouds.
Boom!
