Chapter 443: The Gui Clan
Holding her hand, he gently said, “You took care of me all night, so you should rest before we return to Xiqiang City.”

Looking at his resolute eyes, Bai Hanyun swallowed her protest and nodded. “Alright.”

Satisfied with her answer, Feng Xiyan turned to Feng Wu and saw that he had lit up a bonfire. Walking up to Feng Wu, he asked, “Feng Wu, how did you find this place?”

Feng Wu stopped what he was doing, looked at his Master, and replied, “Master, when this subordinate and Fairy Bai’s bodyguards returned to this world, this subordinate saw three masked men searching for something while many bodies were on the ground.”

“This subordinate didn’t see Fairy Bai and deduced that these three masked men must be enemies and might have something to do with her disappearance, so this subordinate spent some time fighting them.”

“After killing all three masked men, this subordinate searched their bodies for clues and found this item.”

Taking out the Hong Sha Pavilion’s token from his Qiankun Pouch, Feng Wu presented it to Feng Xiyan.

While Feng Xiyan studied the token, Feng Wu continued, “After identifying the masked men, this subordinate followed the traces and found this small cave.”

“Then why didn’t you come in last night?” Feng Xiyan asked, a hint of confusion in his voice.

Hearing this question, Feng Wu secretly glanced at Bai Hanyun for a second before quickly lowering his eyes.

Sensing something off in Feng Wu’s expression, Feng Xiyan frowned slightly and asked again, “Why aren’t you answering my question?”

Knowing his Master was becoming displeased with his silence, Feng Wu hesitated for a few seconds, then leaned closer to Feng Xiyan’s ear and whispered, “Master, this subordinate overheard you and Fairy Bai’s voices last night.”

“This subordinate was afraid of disturbing your… good matters, so this subordinate stayed outside and kept guard.”

Afraid that Feng Xiyan would be angry, Feng Wu quickly added, “Master, please rest assured. This subordinate was guarding from a distance and heard nothing at all.”

When he finished speaking, Feng Xiyan looked at Feng Wu in confusion. ‘What is this kid talking about? Why does it sound like there’s some hidden meaning behind his words?’

Feng Wu saw Feng Xiyan staring at him and quickly raised three fingers, vowing, “Master, this subordinate will keep my mouth sealed. This subordinate understands the importance of reputation for a young lady, so this subordinate will not say a word about what happened here last night.”

The moment Feng Xiyan heard this, realization struck him like lightning, and he quickly turned to look at Bai Hanyun, who was staring at the two of them curiously.

Seeing her eyebrows lift slightly at him, Feng Xiyan flushed red and quickly turned away.

‘Last night… did we really do it? Why don’t I remember anything? Could it be because of the fever? Maybe I should consult Physician Yan when I return to the barracks and see if he could give me an answer regarding this matter.’

Having made up his mind to find Yan Bingyang later, Feng Xiyan coughed lightly to compose himself and said, “Good. You must not let anyone know for now.”

Feng Wu nodded solemnly. “Yes, Master.”

Now that Feng Xiyan had listened to Feng Wu’s report, he resumed preparing breakfast for Bai Hanyun.

Meanwhile, inside a huge main hall filled with solemn atmosphere, Gui Xiaoxu was stared at by more than a hundred people as he calmly sampled the spiritual tea prepared by Gui Ying.

Sitting on the main seat, Gui Ying sipped the tea and let out a satisfied sigh. “Ah~ this is the taste. This young master has truly missed this spiritual tea after years without it.”

After he set down the empty cup, a tall, handsome man stepped forward to refill it.

Looking at Gui Xiaoxu, Gui Ying smiled and asked, “How is the taste? Do you like it?”

Gui Xiaoxu slowly savored the tea, then replied, “It tastes refreshing, mellow, with a hint of sweetness at the end. It reminds me of a light spring rain. It’s a good tea.”

Nodding in agreement with Gui Xiaoxu’s evaluation, Gui Ying opened his folding fan and fanned himself slowly. “Not bad. You do know something about tea. I thought you only knew how to kill people.”

While the two leisurely discussed the spiritual tea, the elders and members of the Gui Clan were nearly suffocating with anxiety and curiosity.

Sitting in the first row below Gui Ying, an elder with white hair finally couldn’t hold back and asked, “Young Master, you have already finished a pot of spiritual tea and several plates of refreshments. Isn’t it time to address the serious matter? Who is this man, and why have you brought him here?”

When the Second Elder spoke, the other elders immediately voiced their concerns.

“That’s right. Young Master, don’t you know we have a rule forbidding outsiders from entering our Gui Clan’s territory? How could you bring one here without permission?”

“Besides, why did you even summon everyone here so early in the morning and then let us wait without any explanation?” the Eldest Elder asked, dissatisfied.

Instead of answering, Gui Ying lifted his teacup and took another calm sip of tea.

Seeing he had no intention of explaining, the Fourth Elder said, “Young Master, if you refuse to speak, then we will have no choice but to seek an explanation from the Old Master.”

The moment Gui Ying heard this, his eyes turned cold as he looked at the Fourth Elder.

Startled by the icy gaze, the Fourth Elder’s courage collapsed, and he immediately fell silent.

After rendering him speechless with a glance, Gui Ying smiled and asked, “Fourth Elder, have you forgotten that this young master is the Patriarch of this Gui Clan? Are you challenging this young master right now? Also, what is your intention in disturbing my grandfather while he is in recovery?”

Fearing being accused of insubordination, the Fourth Elder hastily knelt and kowtowed, “Young Master, this old one was wrong! You are magnanimous, please forgive this slip of the tongue!”
