Chapter 441: Feng Xiyan’s Confusion And Panic
Seeing the shadow guards sheath their swords, Hua Yuyu and his friends secretly let out a sigh of relief.
Opening the car door, Hua Yuyu got into the driver’s seat and started the car.
The moment the engine roared, the shadow guards jumped back like startled birds.
Glancing at them, Wu Jun calmly walked to the second armored car and sat in the driver’s seat. After turning on the engine, he lowered the window and said, “Everyone, please get in.”
Noticing the shadow guards still standing there warily, Bao Shengjie walked up to Sanshi Wu, grabbed his wrist, and pulled him toward the second vehicle. “Come, brother. Let’s go inside quickly.”
Not sensing hostility from Bao Shengjie, Sanshi Wu obediently followed and entered the armored car. Seeing this, the others exchanged hesitant looks for a second before following them into the armored car.
After everyone got into the two armored cars, Wu Jun turned to Sanshi Wu and said, “Please show me the way to Xiqiang City.”
Suppressing his curiosity and shock, Sanshi Wu pointed in one direction. “Just follow this direction.”
Without wasting time, Wu Jun pressed the accelerator and drove in the direction pointed by Sanshi Wu. Behind them, Hua Yuyu followed closely.
While they drove toward Xiqiang City with Sanshi Wu as navigator, Feng Wu followed the traces and found a small cave not far away.
Noticing movement and faint sounds coming from inside the cave, Feng Wu decided to check it out. As he moved closer, the sounds became clearer.
“… It hurts. Yun’er, can you be gentler?”
“Don’t move. I will blow on it so it won’t hurt anymore.”
Hearing the faint conversation, Feng Wu’s eyes lit up. ‘It’s Fairy Bai and Master’s voices!’
Delighted to find them still alive, Feng Wu’s hanging heart finally settled. However, before he could take another step, muffled sounds echoed from within the cave, and he froze.
As he listened, Feng Wu’s face flushed. ‘… Looks like I came at the wrong time. I should wait until they are done with their business before meeting them.’
Although Feng Wu had never been in a romantic relationship, he had heard and witnessed enough during various missions. Based on his meager knowledge of such matters, he decisively chose to give his Master and Fairy Bai some privacy.
With that in mind, Feng Wu concealed his aura and left the area.
Inside the cave, Feng Xiyan glanced at the entrance briefly, then looked back at Bai Hanyun.
Bai Hanyun let out a sigh of relief after tying up the bandage. “This should be enough to stop the bleeding.”
After that, she took an antibiotic from the first-aid kit and a bottle of mineral water from her Qiankun Pouch. Handing them to Feng Xiyan, she added, “You should take this to prevent the wound from getting infected.”
Feng Xiyan nodded and obediently swallowed the medicine. By the time he was done, Bai Hanyun had already cleaned up the bloody cotton wipe and stored the first-aid kit back in her Qiankun Pouch.
Seeing the faint moonlight outside, Bai Hanyun took out a small solar-powered emergency lamp and turned it on.
Afraid the light might reveal their position to the enemies, she adjusted it to the lowest brightness, just enough to illuminate the small space where they rested.
When she was done, Bai Hanyun turned to Feng Xiyan, only to see that he had closed his eyes and fallen asleep.
Gently patting his hand, she softly said, “Feng Xiyan, you should eat something before sleeping.”
But the moment her fingertips touched his skin, Bai Hanyun was startled by Feng Xiyan’s high temperature.
Reaching to touch his flushed face, she muttered worriedly, “As expected, he really has a fever.”
Without wasting time, Bai Hanyun quickly took out fever medicine, an IV drip, and a hanger from her Qiankun Pouch.
She gently tapped Feng Xiyan’s cheek and called, “Feng Xiyan, can you hear me? Feng Xiyan?”
Receiving no response, Bai Hanyun grew anxious. She quickly administered the IV drips, then looked at the pill in her palm.
Bai Hanyun took out a small mortar and pestle, crushed the pill thoroughly, then mixed it with a small cup of water until it fully dissolved. After checking the medicine water to ensure it was well mixed, she took out a small spoon.
She squatted beside Feng Xiyan, scooped up a spoonful of the mixture, and pressed it gently to his lips. Seeing that he was unconscious, Bai Hanyun pinched Feng Xiyan’s jaw lightly to open his mouth and fed him the medicine bit by bit.
It took her more than ten minutes to feed him the small cup of medicated water.
Wiping the sweat from her forehead, Bai Hanyun sighed in relief. “Fortunately, he can still swallow.”
Looking at Feng Xiyan’s flushed face, she thought for a moment, then took out a small towel, a basin, and a bottle of alcohol. Bai Hanyun hesitated for a few seconds before beginning to wipe his body with the alcohol.
After wiping his upper body, Bai Hanyun looked at his pants. She hesitated a long while before taking out a small blanket, covering his lower body, and whispering, “Don’t blame me. I’m doing this to save you.”
Bai Hanyun took a deep breath, reached under the blanket, and pulled down Feng Xiyan’s pants. Closing her eyes, she began wiping his lower body with alcohol.
Thanks to her hard work through the night, Feng Xiyan’s fever slowly subsided. When he opened his eyes, the sky outside was already beginning to pale with dawn.
As he stirred, Feng Xiyan suddenly froze. He felt weak and sore all over. Startled by the sensation, he quickly looked around for Bai Hanyun, only to find her sleeping soundly beside him.
Before he could smile, a gush of morning wind made him shudder from the cold. A second later, Feng Xiyan looked down and realized he was completely naked, with only a small blanket covering his private part.
In horror, Feng Xiyan turned to Bai Hanyun. Then panic struck him hard.
Grabbing the small blanket tightly, Feng Xiyan was confused and panicked. ‘Heaven! Why am I naked?! Why does Yun’er’s clothing look like that?! What did I do last night?!’
