Chapter 436: Final Preparation
Gui Xiaoxu walked around the large warehouse, picking out several types of guns and explosives and placing them into an empty black bag in the corner.
Once he had finished selecting and filling the black bag, Gui Xiaoxu lifted it and left the warehouse. By the time he exited the secret armory and returned to the mansion, dusk had deepened to evening.
Inside his study, Gui Xiaoxu called Ke Ting and several subordinates, assigning them the remaining duties and responsibilities with a few short instructions.
While Gui Xiaoxu was occupied with final preparations before departure, Bai Hanyun was also busy buying food, daily necessities, and gifts for Feng Xiyan, the generals, and the Feng Clan’s shadow guards.
As everyone was busy, time flew by in the blink of an eye.
By the time Bai Hanyun finished showering and changed into a set of beautiful, ancient-style clothes gifted by Feng Xiyan, only twenty minutes remained before ten o’clock.
Bai Hanyun scanned her bedroom one last time to ensure she hadn’t forgotten anything, then went downstairs. Upon reaching the first floor, she saw that the others were gathered in the living room.
When Bai Hanyun and the Yang Mirror had decided to open the space and time portal for experimentation, she had informed Hua Yuyu and the rest of the group.
Looking at Hua Yuyu and the others, who were equipped in their combat uniforms and armed to the teeth, Bai Hanyun hesitantly asked, “Brother Hua, this… are you all going to leave tonight as well?”
Hua Yuyu stood from the couch and nodded. “Miss Bai, since Bai Yansheng and his family had been dealt with, we will accompany you to that world this time.”
Considering that Feng Xiyan had likely already begun the battle on the other side, Bai Hanyun didn’t refuse and simply replied, “Alright.”
Glancing at the black bags placed in the living room, Bai Hanyun pulled out several Qiankun Pouches and distributed them to Hua Yuyu and the others.
Noticing their confused expressions, she explained, “Everyone, these are Qiankun Pouches. It has a large space for storing items. The time inside is stagnant, so everything that is stored inside will stay the same when you take it out.”
The second those words left her mouth, Bao Shengjie’s eyes widened in disbelief.
Before Bai Hanyun could elaborate further, he jumped to his feet and exclaimed, “No way! Is this the famous Qiankun Pouch that always appears in fantasy cultivation stories?”
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun gave him a thumbs up. She smiled and replied, “As expected of Shengjie. You really know a lot about these things.”
Beaming at her praise, Bao Shengjie hurried over, clutching the pouch tightly. “Miss Bai, do we need to drip blood on it to establish a bond?” he asked eagerly.
Pleased by his knowledge, Bai Hanyun patted his shoulder. “You guessed right.”
The moment he heard that, Bao Shengjie grabbed the fruit knife from the low table. After slicing his fingertip without hesitation, he dripped his blood onto the Qiankun Pouch.
Under the curious and doubtful gazes of the others, the Qiankun Pouch absorbed Bao Shengjie’s blood without a trace.
Even the cold and reserved Wang Kaiye looked visibly surprised as he witnessed this scene.
Just as Hua Yuyu was about to ask how it worked, Bao Shengjie suddenly exclaimed, “Oh my god! I can actually feel and see the space inside the Qiankun Pouch! It’s so huge!”
Seeing Bao Shengjie’s eyes seemingly gazing into invisible space, Hua Yuyu and the others exchanged glances before following his example and binding their Qiankun Pouches.
Once everyone had completed the binding process, Bai Hanyun explained, “Everyone, you can store your belongings by using your mind. Just focus on the item and imagine placing it into the Qiankun Pouch.”
Following her instructions, Hua Yuyu and the others tried, and they successfully stored their black bags inside their own Qiankun Pouches on the first attempt.
After inspecting his Qiankun Pouch for a moment, Hua Yuyu’s eyes flickered for a second. He then turned to Bai Hanyun and said, “Miss Bai, we will be back in ten minutes.”
Knowing the departure time was approaching, Hua Yuyu and the others didn’t wait for her reply and rushed out of the house.
Assuming they were fetching additional supplies, Bai Hanyun turned to Feng Wu, who was standing two steps behind her, and asked, “Feng Wu, have you brought everything with you?”
Uncertain whether he would ever return to this world again in the future, Feng Wu had already placed everything into his Qiankun Pouch.
He nodded and calmly replied, “Yes, Fairy Bai. This subordinate had packed everything.”
Seeing how calm he was, Bai Hanyun smiled and went to the kitchen to clear out the cabinets, freezer, and refrigerator.
Since no one knew how long she would stay in the other world, it was better to take everything rather than let it spoil.
After finishing, Bai Hanyun suddenly remembered something and sent a message to Hu Chaoyang.
Ding!
In a spacious study room, a phone on a large mahogany table chimed.
Hu Chaoyang paused his work, checked the message, and, seeing it was from Bai Hanyun, read it carefully.
[Elder Brother Chaoyang, I may need to take some supplies from the warehouses later. Please help inform the staff so they won’t be surprised when the supplies are gone.]
After a moment of thought, he replied: [Understood.]
Receiving Hu Chaoyang’s reply, Bai Hanyun thought in a good mood, ‘Yang Mirror, from now on, we can obtain any supplies from the Bai Group for free. I have informed Elder Brother Chaoyang.’
Sitting cross-legged inside her bright dantian, the Yang Mirror stopped absorbing merit and opened his eyes.
Rubbing his chin, he pondered for a few seconds and said, “This is a good idea. With so many supplies available, you can help more people and accumulate more merit.”
Agreeing with him, Bai Hanyun nodded inwardly.
‘That’s right. As your cultivation increases, the space and time portal should become more stable and stronger. I wonder if you will eventually be able to establish a permanent one.’
