Chapter 429: Mentally Sick
Before Lu Renyi could finish his words, Hua Yuyu raised his hand to cut him off. “Don’t ask. The more you know, the faster you die.”

Patting Lu Renyi’s shoulder, Hua Yuyu added, “You must be busy dealing with the aftermath. Go and get to work. I’m heading back first. Remember to inform me about Bai Li’s sentence.”

After saying that, he looked at the Wang Brothers and said, “Let’s go.”

While Wang Kaimu got into the driver’s seat and Wang Kaiye sat beside Bai Hanyun, Hua Yuyu opened the passenger door.

He paused, then turned back to Lu Renyi and reminded him, “Miss Bai is not someone you can afford to offend. You should handle those men’s deaths carefully.”

Leaving those words behind, Hua Yuyu got into the passenger seat. The moment he closed the door, Wang Kaimu started the engine and drove away.

Watching the black SUV disappear into the corner, Lu Renyi’s brows furrowed deeply, as if they could squish flies to death.

While he was contemplating how to file the report to his supervisor, one of his subordinates called out, “Captain, you should come and look at this.”

Hearing this, Lu Renyi let out a frustrated sigh before walking over to check the findings.

That day, six men disappeared without a trace. Even after years had passed, nobody ever saw or heard from them again. It seemed as though they had vanished from the world.

Except for Bai Hanyun and her friends, only Lu Renyi and his team knew the details of what happened on the day Bai Li was arrested.

Returning home, Bai Hanyun didn’t rest. While Feng Wu and the others were preparing lunch, she called a property agent.

“Good afternoon, may I help you?” the property agent asked.

Sitting on the couch in her living room, Bai Hanyun politely replied, “Good afternoon, Miss. I want to buy a store on Antique Street. Do you have any suitable places available for sale?”

The property agent’s eyes lit up when she heard this. She quickly searched the system while asking, “Miss, do you have any specific requirements?”

Bai Hanyun thought for a moment and said, “I want a three- or four-story store. The location isn’t very important, as long as it’s still within the Antique Street area. As for the price, we can negotiate.”

When the property agent heard this, she was overjoyed. ‘I’m so lucky today! I actually met such an easy-to-please customer! If I can close this deal, this month’s bonus alone will cover all my expenses for a year!’

Eager to secure the transaction, the property agent worked quickly. In less than twenty seconds, she had already found a few stores that fit Bai Hanyun’s requirements.

“Miss, we have a few stores that match what you are looking for. When would you like to take a look at them? Or would you prefer that I send you the information first?”

Since Bai Hanyun had just returned and was hungry, she said, “Please send me the information first. I will contact you later after reviewing them.”

The property agent already expected this response. Buying a property was not like buying food or clothing. It required careful consideration before customers made their final decision.

With a smile on her lips, the property agent replied, “Understood. Miss, may I have your email address?”

After Bai Hanyun gave her the email, the property agent quickly sent the store information over. “Miss, I have sent the information to you. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.”

“Alright. Thank you for your help.”

After ending the call, Bai Hanyun opened her email and read through the information.

An hour later, she had already chosen one store near the Gu Bao Antique Store. She opened her email and replied to the agent: [I want this store. Please help me with the documents.]

Just as she finished sending the email, Feng Wu approached and said, “Fairy Bai, the meal is ready. Would you like to eat now or later?”

Putting her phone away, Bai Hanyun stood up and replied, “Let’s eat now.”

With that, the two of them went to the dining table.

Today, Hua Yuyu and the others joined them for lunch.

Smiling at them, Bai Hanyun took a seat and raised her orange juice. “Thank you, everyone, for helping me deal with Bai Yansheng and his family. Cheers to our victory!”

Raising their glasses, Hua Yuyu and the others said in unison, “Cheers to our victory!”

After everyone took a sip, Bai Hanyun added, “Let’s eat. I’m starving.”

While they were enjoying their celebratory meal, Bai Li was locked in a small interrogation room. Sitting before her were a psychologist and a criminal profiler.

Glaring at them, Bai Li clenched her cuffed hands and angrily shouted, “I won’t speak until I see my lawyer!”

Ignoring her words, the psychologist looked at the questionnaire in his hand and calmly asked, “Miss Bai, what would you do when you are angry?”

Rolling her eyes at him, Bai Li sneered and remained silent.

Glancing at her, the psychologist ticked an option on the questionnaire and stood up. “I’m done.”

Leaving those words behind, he walked out of the room. Entering the next room, the psychologist said, “Captain Lu, Miss Bai Li’s mental state is unstable.”

“Out of one hundred questions, ninety-eight of her answers indicate violence. She also shows signs of psychopathy and Antisocial Personality Disorder.”

Receiving the report, Lu Renyi sighed and rubbed his brows. He had expected this result, but Lu Renyi never expected Bai Li’s condition to be this bad.

Looking at the psychologist, he said, “Understood. Thank you for your hard work, Doctor.”

“You are too polite, Captain Lu. I was paid to do this.”

After the psychologist left the observation room, Lu Renyi looked at Bai Li through the one-way glass and muttered, “I already had a guess, but it turns out she really is sick in the head. Looks like she will end up in a mental hospital for the rest of her life.”
