Chapter 425: Being Followed
After a long silence, Bai Hanyun finally made a decision. Closing the small wooden box, she put it back into her Qiankun Pouch using the backpack as a cover, then took out a medium-sized wooden box.

Opening the wooden box, she placed it in front of Li Qin and said, “Master Li, the value of this pair of bronze ritual tripods should not be too high. Since you didn’t want to accept the archer’s ring, please accept this small gift from me.”

Hearing this, Li Qin put on his white gloves, took out his magnifying glass, and examined the pair of bronze ritual tripods closely.

A few minutes later, Li Qin put the pair of bronze ritual tripods back into the wooden box and smiled in satisfaction.

“Miss Bai, the last pair of bronze ritual tripods originating from the Shang Dynasty was sold for 1.9 million dollars last year.”

“Although this pair is similar to the one from the Shang Dynasty, the Yu Empire was recorded only in unofficial historical texts, so antiques from the Yu Empire tend to have higher value due to their rarity.”

Li Qin thought for a moment, then concluded, “I estimate this pair of bronze ritual tripods can be priced at least 2.5 million dollars at auction.”

Smiling at Bai Hanyun, he asked, “Miss Bai, this is not a small amount. Are you sure you want to give me this pair of bronze ritual tripods just because I’m helping you post a job opening on the National Antique Association’s website?”

For Bai Hanyun, who had billions in cash, this amount of money was nothing. In her current situation, establishing and expanding connections in the antique circle was far more important than money.

Bai Hanyun smiled and replied, “Master Li, please accept this pair of bronze ritual tripods. Consider them gifts from my partner and me. We may need a lot of your help and support in the future.”

Understanding the meaning behind her words, Li Qin thought for a moment, then gratefully accepted the gifts.

Closing the wooden box, he nodded and said, “Since Miss Bai has said so, I will accept them gratefully.”

After accomplishing her goals for the day, Bai Hanyun stood up and said, “Master Li, I still have a few things to take care of. Let’s meet again another day.”

Li Qin nodded in agreement, picked up the wooden box, then stood and responded, “Miss Bai, let me send you out.”

With that, he personally accompanied Bai Hanyun and the others downstairs.

Hearing footsteps approaching from upstairs, Fu Jiarong looked toward the stairs and saw the wooden box in Li Qin’s hand. Seeing his beaming expression, she smiled knowingly.

Outside the Gu Bao Antique Store, Bai Hanyun stopped Li Qin and said, “Master Li, please stay.”

Looking at the black SUV parked nearby, Li Qin smiled. “Miss Bai, if you need any help, feel free to contact me.”

“Alright. I will see you next time.” After saying her goodbyes, Bai Hanyun and the others got into the black SUV.

When the black SUV disappeared around the corner, Li Qin returned to the store in a good mood.

Walking out from the counter, Fu Jiarong approached him and asked curiously, “Master Li, did you buy something from Miss Bai today?”

Li Qin shook his head and proudly showed her the wooden box in his hands. “This is a gift from Miss Bai.”

Seeing how carefully he handled the wooden box, Fu Jiarong knew the contents must be valuable.

Pointing at the wooden box, she said, “Master Li, please let me see it so I can broaden my horizons.”

Li Qin narrowed his eyes and warned, “I can show you the antiques, but you cannot tell your maternal grandfather. Otherwise, I won’t come here for one week.”

“Sure. I just want to see what Miss Bai gave you,” Fu Jiarong replied sincerely.

Li Qin stared at her for a moment to make sure that she didn’t lie, then found a seat by the window. After she sat across from him, he opened the box.

The moment Fu Jiarong saw the pair of bronze ritual tripods, she drew in a sharp breath. “Oh, my God! Miss Bai is really generous! Isn’t there only one pair of bronze ritual tripods from the Shang Dynasty in the market?”

Li Qin nodded and proudly said, “Yes.”

Giving Li Qin an envious gaze, Fu Jiarong sighed and gave him a thumbs-up. “Master Li, you are so lucky!”

Li Qin smiled and said, “It’s because of you.”

While the two of them admired the pair of bronze ritual tripods, Bai Hanyun was troubled.

Sitting beside her, Feng Wu noticed her mood and asked, “Fairy Bai, is something wrong?”

Bai Hanyun sighed heavily. “I don’t think I can open an antique store. Feng Wu, how about we go back to Xiquan City and see if we can find something less valuable to sell?”

Hearing this, Feng Wu nodded. “This subordinate will go wherever Fairy Bai wishes to go.”

Bai Hanyun stared at him silently for a moment, then took out a box of expensive biscuits from her backpack and handed them to him.

Not understanding the sudden reward, Feng Wu still accepted it happily. “Thank you, Fairy Bai, for the reward.”

While Feng Wu enjoyed his snacks, Bai Hanyun thought, ‘Looks like I need to ask Feng Xiyan later to see if he can help me find something less valuable to sell.’

On the way back, Bai Hanyun was so deep in thought that she didn’t notice that the expressions of Hua Yuyu and the Wang brothers had changed.

Watching the rear-view mirror, Wang Kaimu said, “Captain, someone is following us.”

The moment he said this, Bai Hanyun snapped out of her thoughts and looked into the rear-view mirror, worry flickering in her eyes.

Sitting in the passenger seat, Hua Yuyu hummed. “Can you lose them?”

“The road is narrow. It won’t be easy,” Wang Kaimu replied.

Hua Yuyu frowned slightly at his words. After a moment of silence, he said, “Since we can’t lose them, we will fight them head-on. Kaimu, find a secluded place.”

“Roger that.” Receiving the order, Wang Kaimu pressed the accelerator.

In the black car behind them, the driver glanced at the masked woman sitting in the second row and said, “They noticed us. What should we do now?”

The woman sneered and coldly ordered, “Give chase.”

“Roger that.” The driver stepped on the accelerator and sped after the black SUV.
