Chapter 398: Twice The Result With Half The Effort
Left alone inside the warehouse, Feng Xiyan took a few steps back. Standing near the open door, he said, “Yun’er, you can send the supplies now.”

“Alright,” Bai Hanyun said, then took out part of the supplies from her Qiankun Pouch and added, “Yang Mirror, please help me send these over.”

The Yang Mirror glowed once, and the supplies disappeared from the backyard. The next second, they appeared inside the warehouse, almost filling it up.

Looking at the reflection on the Yang Mirror’s surface, Bai Hanyun saw that the empty warehouse was nearly full and said, “Feng Xiyan, you should move to another warehouse.”

Hearing this, Feng Xiyan realized that Bai Hanyun had prepared more supplies than usual and responded, “Alright. Give me some time.”

“Mhm.”

Feng Xiyan walked out of the warehouse, looked at Tan Pengtai, and instructed, “General Tan, record the amount of supplies inside and update the stock list. This general still needs to fill the other warehouses.”

Nodding at him, Tan Pengtai replied, “Yes, Great General.”

While Feng Xiyan walked toward another empty warehouse, Tan Pengtai called a few soldiers and said, “You all, come and count the supplies.”

Pointing at another soldier nearby, he ordered, “You, bring the ledger to this general.”

“Yes, General Tan.” Clasping their fists, the soldiers accepted the orders and began to work.

Still doubtful that Feng Xiyan had truly received supplies from the so-called Fairy Bai, Rong Hou stepped forward and asked, “General Tan, can we go inside to have a look?”

Before Tan Pengtai could refuse, Xue Ruhong grabbed his sleeve and shook his head slightly.

Tan Pengtai didn’t trust these newly joined tribes, but since Feng Xiyan had allowed them to follow him to the warehouse area and Xue Ruhong had signaled for him to grant Rong Hou’s request, Tan Pengtai could only nod in agreement.

“Of course. Since Tribe Leader Rong is interested, please come inside with this general.”

Receiving approval, Rong Hou bowed slightly to Tan Pengtai. “Thank you, General Tan.”

Giving Xue Ruhong a questioning glance, Tan Pengtai walked into the warehouse, followed by the others.

The moment the nine tribe leaders saw the warehouse filled with bags, wooden crates, and boxes made of unknown materials, they all took a sharp breath.

Rooted to his spot, Rong Hou’s eyes widened as he stared at the supplies in astonishment. “This… this… this is all food?”

Getting the effect he wanted, Xue Ruhong smiled. He walked to the nearest bag of rice and opened it.

After grabbing a handful of fragrant white rice, Xue Ruhong returned to Rong Hou and showed him the grains.

“Tribe Leader Rong, since you don’t believe these are foods, please take a look for yourself.”

Snapping back to his senses, Rong Hou looked at the rice in Xue Ruhong’s palm.

The second he saw the full, white, fragrant grains, his jaw dropped. Even with some distance between him and Xue Ruhong, Rong Hou could still smell the faint flower fragrance from the rice grains.

“Impossible… How could there be such white and fragrant rice in this world?” he muttered in disbelief.

When Zhan Qi heard this, he laughed and said, “With Heaven on our side, nothing is impossible in this world. All of this food is Heaven’s blessing for our Great General.”

After saying that, Zhan Qi began rummaging through the bags, wooden crates, and cardboard boxes for snacks.

Seeing that Tan Pengtai didn’t stop him, Rong Hou and the other tribe leaders exchanged glances. A moment later, they approached Zhan Qi and asked curiously about the strange foods and drinks he held.

Meanwhile, Feng Xiyan had already filled up five warehouses and three underground storage rooms.

Standing in the backyard of her house, Bai Hanyun asked, “Feng Xiyan, is there any natural rain in Xiqiang City?”

Feng Xiyan came out of the underground storage room, locked the door, and then looked up at the gloomy sky.

Shaking his head, he turned the Yin Mirror to show the sky to Bai Hanyun and said, “There hasn’t been any natural rain since the last artificial one, but the sky looks gloomy and the air feels humid. If we are lucky, there might be natural rain in a few days.”

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun thought for a moment before saying, “Feng Xiyan, you should create another artificial rain today.”

Turning the Yin Mirror, Feng Xiyan looked at Bai Hanyun and asked in confusion, “Why? The water will last us another month. There is no need to waste the bullet.”

Bai Hanyun frowned slightly and explained, “From the clouds’ form and color, I guess the water vapor in the clouds still isn’t enough to form natural rain even after a few days.”

“But if we use the Artificial Rain Cannon, the artificial rain will be heavier than the last two. We can receive twice the result with half the effort.”

“However, if you are not careful, the heavy rain might cause a sudden flood. That’s why you must remember to aim it far away.”

Feng Xiyan listened attentively to Bai Hanyun’s analysis and fell into deep thought.

After a brief silence, he said, “Alright. I will do as you say.”

Seeing how obedient he was, Bai Hanyun raised her chin slightly and said, “Since you are being so obedient, I will give you a gift.”

When Feng Xiyan heard that, he smiled and asked, “Is it the kind of gift I’m thinking of?”

Sensing something off in his tone, Bai Hanyun narrowed her eyes. After observing him for a moment, she said, “Feng Xiyan, why do I feel like you have changed? You weren’t like this before.”

Pretending to be clueless, Feng Xiyan sighed with a pitiful expression and asked, “Yun’er, why do you say so? Do you not like me anymore?”

Seeing his sad face, Bai Hanyun blurted out without thinking, “Nonsense! Who said I don’t like you?”

The moment the words left her mouth, Bai Hanyun realized she had walked right into Feng Xiyan’s trap. Her eyes widened in disbelief as she said, “Feng Xiyan, you are so cunning!”
