Chapter 388: Grateful And Heartbroken
With a smile on her face, Bai Hanyun said, “Brother Hua, please share this with everyone. I still have two more deliveries later, and Feng Wu will come with me. You guys can take a few days off and get a good rest.”

Hearing this, Hua Yuyu didn’t refuse. It had been weeks since his last visit to his grandmother. Since Bai Hanyun gave him a few days off, he can visit his grandmother.

Making his decision, Hua Yuyu nodded. “Understood.”

“Then, we will head back first.”

After watching Bai Hanyun and Feng Wu return to the house, Hua Yuyu closed the door and walked to the dining area. Placing the bags of food on the table, he went back to his room to get some sleep.

Meanwhile, Bai Hanyun and Feng Wu were opening the breakfast, placing the food in bowls and plates, and bringing it to the dining table.

Sitting around the dining table, Bai Hanyun motioned for Feng Wu to sit beside her and said, “Come, Feng Wu. Let me show you something interesting.”

Feeling curious, Feng Wu obediently sat beside her while grabbing a big meat bun.

Bai Hanyun glanced at his curious expression, then grinned and turned on her laptop.

Soon, the sound of men’s shouting and the collision of metal echoed in the dining area.

Taking a big bite of her fried dough stick, Bai Hanyun said, “Feng Wu, you should learn from these dramas. Once you have learned everything, you will be able to help Feng Xiyan deal with those corrupt officials and that foolish emperor of yours.”

Hearing this, Feng Wu’s eyes flickered with determination as he replied, “This subordinate understands.”

Unlike her usual fantasy romance dramas, this time, for Feng Wu’s sake, Bai Hanyun chose to watch a Warring States historical drama filled with treachery, political scheming, and war strategies.

Seeing that Feng Wu was completely absorbed in the show, Bai Hanyun quietly finished her breakfast and went back to her room to watch her fantasy romance drama on her tablet.

By the time Bai Hanyun received a message from Li Dagou’s delivery team, she had already finished two episodes.

Opening WeChat, she read the message and quickly replied: [I will be there in ten minutes. Brother, please unload the goods first. The parking lot gate isn’t locked.]

A few seconds later, she received a reply from the delivery team’s leader: [Alright.]

Standing up from the arhat bed, Bai Hanyun grabbed her car keys, tablet, and phone, then went downstairs.

When Feng Wu heard her footsteps, he looked up from the laptop’s screen and asked, “Fairy Bai, is it time to go?”

Bai Hanyun nodded, helped him pause the drama, shut down the laptop, and said, “Let’s go. This delivery is quite large, so it will take longer.”

Handing the tablet to him, she added, “You can continue watching later while we wait.”

Holding the tablet curiously, Feng Wu nodded obediently.

With that, Bai Hanyun once again drove to the warehouse with Feng Wu.

While Bai Hanyun and Feng Wu were busy handling the deliveries, time flew by in the blink of an eye.

By the time Bai Hanyun finished receiving shipments from the Sweet Bun Bun Store and Tan Hao, the sun was already low on the western horizon.

Glancing at the time on her phone, Bai Hanyun saw that it was already a little past six in the evening.

Looking at Tan Hao, she said, “Boss Tan, please prepare the vegetables and fruits as usual and send them over a week later.”

Tan Hao nodded and readily agreed, “Alright. The second batch of summer vegetables will be ready for harvest in a few days. I should be able to prepare at least five times the usual amount next week. Miss Bai, do you want them all at once, or should I send them in batches?”

Since Feng Xiyan had already taken over more than 60,000 soldiers from the Ji Army and fewer than 30,000 civilians in Xiquan City, he would need far more supplies to support the two cities and the incoming refugees.

Thinking that the supplies, which were supposed to last six to eight months, could now only last two to three months, Bai Hanyun made a quick decision.

“Boss Tan, please harvest them all.”

After saying that, Bai Hanyun transferred one million yuan to Tan Hao and added, “Boss Tan, the extra 200,000 yuan is the down payment for the next batch of vegetables and fruits.”

Seeing his bank balance increase by one digit, Tan Hao’s eyes lit up. He quickly assured her with a smile on his tanned face, “Don’t worry, Miss Bai. I will make sure only the freshest vegetables and fruits are delivered to you.”

Satisfied with his promise, Bai Hanyun smiled. “Then let’s meet again next week.”

After sending Tan Hao off, Bai Hanyun turned around but didn’t see Feng Wu. Tilting her head slightly in confusion, she walked to the warehouse and found Feng Wu standing inside.

“Feng Wu, what are you doing?” she asked curiously.

Hearing her voice, Feng Wu turned around, and Bai Hanyun was shocked to see his red eyes. She quickly approached him and asked worriedly, “Feng Wu, what’s wrong? Were you just crying?”

Feng Wu lowered his head to hide his tears and replied softly, “Fairy Bai, thank you very much.”

Having witnessed firsthand how much time, money, and energy Bai Hanyun had spent that day, Feng Wu finally understood how hard she worked to support them.

From midnight to evening, she only had a little free time to rest and eat. For a young woman as frail as her to toil so much for them must be incredibly difficult.

At this moment, Feng Wu felt both grateful and heartbroken for Bai Hanyun.

Not understanding why he suddenly thanked her, Bai Hanyun thought in confusion. When her gaze fell on the fresh tomatoes in Feng Wu’s hands, she suddenly realized the reason behind his gratitude.
