Chapter 382: Do You Know Each Other?
Scanning the familiar yet unfamiliar faces around her, Bai Hanyun saw Jiang Yinqi pull out the main chair for her. She smiled at him, then sat down gracefully.

She crossed her slender legs, leaned back comfortably, and smiled. “Everyone, long time no see. I hope you all have been well.”

The second her words fell, the shareholders realized that what had happened before was merely the calm before the storm. And now, the real storm was about to begin.

Wiping the sweat off his forehead with a handkerchief, the largest shareholder smiled fawningly at Bai Hanyun and spoke with fake concern in his voice. “Niece, I’m glad that you are back. You don’t know how worried your uncle was when I heard that you were missing.”

Bai Hanyun raised her brows at him, then asked, “Is that so? But… why do I feel that you were shocked when you saw me? It looks like you have seen a ghost.”

Choked by her words, the shareholder was speechless.

After silencing the largest shareholder, Bai Hanyun’s smile disappeared as she scanned the room.

“Bai Yansheng and his group have been using the Bai Group for money laundering, illegal transactions with underground organizations, and for transferring the Bai Group’s assets away.”

“I have already handed this case over to the police, and Attorney Jiang will lead the legal team to deal with the process.”

Narrowing her eyes, Bai Hanyun slowly added, “Rest assured, everyone. I will make sure Bai Yansheng and his group are imprisoned with the highest sentences and that they compensate for all the losses they have caused to the Bai Group and to me.”

“Today, as the chairwoman of the Bai Group and the matriarch of the Bai family, I will officially reclaim the shares owned by Bai Yansheng and Bai Li, as stated in my grandfather’s will.”

“As for those shares owned by the people colluding with Bai Yansheng, they will be used to pay for the losses they have caused to the company.”

Bai Hanyun paused, scanned the shareholders’ faces one by one, and then asked slowly, “Is there any objection?”

The shareholders couldn’t do anything to her before when Bai Hanyun was alone.

Now that she had the support of Hu Chaoyang and Jiang Yinqi, and with how thunderous and ruthless their move was today, who would dare go against her?

Swallowing hard, the shareholders exchanged complicated glances, then looked at Bai Hanyun and shook their heads.

“We have no objection,” said one of the shareholders.

Receiving the answer she wanted, Bai Hanyun’s expression softened.

She smiled at the shareholders and said, “That’s great. I will leave the rest to CEO Hu and Attorney Jiang. Everyone, I hope all of you can work hard so we can work together for a long time from now on.”

Leaving behind that subtle threat, Bai Hanyun exited the meeting room without turning back.

After the door closed behind her, Hu Chaoyang sat back in the main chair and said, “Let’s continue the meeting.”

While Hu Chaoyang and Jiang Yinqi were squeezing every last cent from the shareholders, leaving their wallets and pride in tatters, Bai Hanyun and the others followed Ruan Hanlin to the chairman’s office.

On the way, Bai Hanyun asked, “Assistant Ruan, why are you bringing me to my office? Is there anything else we need to discuss?”

Ruan Hanlin smiled and explained, “Attorney Jiang told me to bring you there. He said that with so many things that have happened today, we should make a plan on how to handle the aftermath.”

Based on Bai Hanyun’s understanding of Jiang Yinqi’s personality, she was almost certain that the reason he wanted her to wait wasn’t just to discuss the next plan, but also to talk about what she intended to do with Bai Yansheng and his family.

With that in mind, she nodded. “I see.”

Ten minutes later, the group exited the private elevator to the chairman’s office and stepped onto the carpeted floor.

Seeing how luxuriously decorated the top floor was, Bao Shengjie walked faster to catch up with Bai Hanyun, then lowered his voice and asked curiously, “Miss Bai, is this entire floor used as your office?”

Noticing the curiosity in his tone, Bai Hanyun raised her brows slightly and replied, “Yes. I remember there is a bar and a gaming area. Do you want to take a look around?”

Bao Shengjie wanted to nod, but recalling that he was on duty, he shook his head instead. “Maybe next time.”

Bai Hanyun chuckled, then stopped talking as they arrived at the chairman’s office.

Ruan Hanlin pushed the door open and said, “Miss Bai, I will go prepare some tea and coffee for the guests. There are some snacks and small cakes that you like in the dining area. Please help yourself.”

“Alright. Thank you, Assistant Ruan.”

Nodding at her, Ruan Hanlin left with a smile on his face.

After enduring Bai Yansheng’s abuse, Ruan Hanlin had finally managed to send him to prison today. Feeling happy and relieved, Ruan Hanlin’s walking pace quickened.

Meanwhile, the moment Bai Hanyun and the others stepped into the office, three surprised voices rang out at once.

“Yuyu, why are you here?” Lu Renyi asked as he sprang from the couch.

“Captain Hua? Why are you also here?” Lei Jingqian asked in doubt.

Looking at the two of them, Hua Yuyu asked probingly, “Are you two the ones who helped with the arrest just now?”

Standing beside Hua Yuyu, Bai Hanyun looked at the three of them in confusion. A moment later, realization dawned on her, and she asked, “You three… do you know each other?”

Turning toward her, Hua Yuyu, Lu Renyi, and Lei Jingqian nodded at the same time.

Upon receiving their confirmation, Bai Hanyun raised her brows slightly and muttered, with a hint of surprise, “Wow~ this is really a pleasant coincidence.”

Realizing she had spoken her mind, Bai Hanyun coughed awkwardly and said, “Uh, let’s sit down first and wait for Brother Hu and Brother Yinqi.”

As Bai Hanyun and the others were waiting while enjoying the snacks and playing games, Bai Li was in trouble.
