Chapter 369: Familiar Feeling
Although Bai Hanyun was curious, she knew that Gui Ying wouldn’t tell her if he didn’t want to. Nodding, she said, “Of course, I will exchange with you.”
Getting her answer, Gui Ying flipped his palm, and a small jade bottle appeared in his hand.
He handed the jade bottle to Bai Hanyun and said, “Alright. This young master still needs to push my rank. Remember to call this young master if you need anything else.”
Without waiting for Bai Hanyun’s response, Gui Ying snapped his fingers and disappeared from there. A few seconds later, he reappeared in his bedroom at the Bu Gui Pavilion headquarters.
In the hospital ward, Bai Hanyun opened the small jade bottle and counted the pills inside. After confirming the amount was correct, she took the small empty box used for the Yuan Pill before and refilled it.
Handing the box containing one hundred Yuan Pills to Hua Yuyu, Bai Hanyun said, “Brother Hua, keep these pills and share them with the others. The pill will give you another layer of protection during missions.”
Hua Yuyu looked at the small box for a moment before accepting it. “Thank you, Miss Bai.”
Bai Hanyun grinned and said, “You guys are my bodyguards and friends. I’m willing to share good things with you and the others.”
After saying that, she turned to Feng Wu and handed him the small jade bottle containing the remaining one hundred Yuan Pills.
“Feng Wu, take this. Share it with your brothers later.”
Feng Wu hesitated for a moment before taking the jade bottle from her hand. Clasping his fists, he said, “Thank you, Fairy Bai.”
Bai Hanyun nodded. “Mhm.”
Seeing that there was nothing else to do here, Bai Hanyun said, “Brother Hua, let’s return to the apartment so we won’t disturb Brother Ouyang’s rest.”
Hua Yuyu looked at the sleeping Ouyang Zhuangyu and agreed. “Alright. After Zhuangyu is discharged from the hospital, we can leave this city together.”
Looking at Gao Gong and the Wang brothers, Hua Yuyu instructed, “Keep your eyes on the doctors and nurses. Make sure that nothing happens to Zhuangyu.”
Understanding what he meant, the three of them nodded and responded in unison, “Yes, Captain.”
Turning to Bai Hanyun, Hua Yuyu said, “Miss Bai, please.”
Following Hua Yuyu out, Bai Hanyun waved at Gao Gong, Wang Kaimu, and Wang Kaiye. “See you guys later.”
After they left, Wang Kaimu looked at Gao Gong and asked, “Brother Gong, do you think the doctors would dare to mess around with Brother Zhuangyu?”
Gao Gong frowned and shook his head. “I don’t know. But it’s better to stay cautious.”
Hearing this, Wang Kaiye quickly contacted Bao Shengjie and told him to hack into the hospital’s security system to monitor the camera feeds around Ouyang Zhuangyu’s ward.
When Bai Hanyun, Hua Yuyu, and Feng Wu stepped into the apartment, Bao Shengjie, who was sitting on the couch in the living room, looked up from his phone.
While keeping his attention on the game, he glanced at Bai Hanyun and asked, “Miss Bai, do you want to join the ranked game? I found an amazing teammate from the public today.”
After spending some time in another world, Bai Hanyun did miss gaming. So when Bao Shengjie invited her, she readily agreed.
“Alright. I will take a bath first. Wait for me when you finish your game.”
“Got it.”
Seeing Bai Hanyun rush to her bedroom, Hua Yuyu shook his head and went to discuss their plan to leave Shang Du City with Wu Jun.
While everyone was busy, Bao Shengjie noticed that Feng Wu was just standing there, unmoving. Thinking for a moment, he took out his second phone and said, “Brother Feng Wu, come and play with me.”
Feng Wu shook his head. “I don’t know how.”
Grinning at him, Bao Shengjie replied, “Don’t worry. I will teach you.”
Feeling curious and with nothing else to do, Feng Wu walked over and sat beside him.
Handing Feng Wu his second phone, Bao Shengjie patiently taught him how to use it as he finished his current match. Just as Feng Wu completed the beginner’s tutorial, Bao Shengjie won his game.
“Victory!”
Hearing this, Feng Wu glanced at Bao Shengjie’s phone screen and asked, “Young Master Bao, have you won the match?”
Bao Shengjie patted his chest proudly. “Of course! Your brother here is one of the top-ranked players in the world. Don’t worry. With me around, you will be carried straight to the top!”
When Bai Hanyun came out of her room with her fully charged phone, she saw the two sitting together. Seeing Feng Wu holding his phone horizontally, her eyes lit up. She hurried over, sat beside him, and opened the game.
“Quick, invite me to the team!” she said excitedly.
“Wait, I will invite the expert from the public first,” Bao Shengjie said, quickly inviting the man from his player history list, then inviting Bai Hanyun after she finished the loading screen.
Once everyone was in the waiting room, Bai Hanyun looked at their usernames.
She already knew Bao Shengjie’s username, Xiao Ke Ai, so she checked Feng Wu’s and the new teammate’s usernames.
Raising her brows slightly, Bai Hanyun asked, “Feng Wu, you are using your real name?”
Feng Wu nodded. Since his real name was also his codename, Bai Hanyun didn’t comment further.
However, when her eyes landed on the other player’s username, she frowned slightly. “Ben Shaoye? Why does this name feel so familiar? I can even feel the pride from this username.”
Hearing this, Bao Shengjie turned to her and curiously asked, “Miss Bai, do you know this player?”
Bai Hanyun had a suspicion, but she was not sure. After thinking for a moment, she said, “Let me check if he is the person I’m thinking of.”
Feeling curious, Bao Shengjie and Feng Wu leaned closer to see her screen.
Just as Bai Hanyun was typing a question, a message popped up in the team chat.
