Chapter 365: You Got Me Excited For Nothing
An hour later, Bai Hanyun, Hua Yuyu, and Feng Wu arrived at the hospital.

When Hua Yuyu pushed open the door, he found Gao Gong, Wang Kaimu, and Wang Kaiye in fighting stances with their weapons ready.

“It’s me. How is Zhuangyu’s condition?” Hua Yuyu asked calmly as Bai Hanyun and Feng Wu followed him into the hospital ward.

Lowering their weapons, Wang Kaimu and the others saw Bai Hanyun and a masked, tall man in ancient-style clothes behind Hua Yuyu.

“Still the same,” Wang Kaimu replied. After saying that, he turned to Bai Hanyun and added, “Miss Bai, I’m glad that you are alright.”

“Thank you,” Bai Hanyun said gratefully, then looked at the unconscious Ouyang Zhuangyu on the bed and asked, “What did the doctor say about Brother Ouyang’s condition?”

Wang Kaimu turned to look at the unconscious Ouyang Zhuangyu, let out a sigh, and shook his head.

“The bullets hit his heart and destroyed some of the surrounding blood vessels. It’s a miracle he survived. The doctors said it all depends on his willpower now, whether he can wake up or not.”

After listening to his explanation, Bai Hanyun felt a pang of guilt. If not for her, Ouyang Zhuangyu wouldn’t be lying on the hospital bed right now.

Noticing her expression, the usually silent Wang Kaiye suddenly said, “Miss Bai, what happened to Brother Zhuangyu isn’t your fault.”

Surprised to hear comforting words from him, Bai Hanyun gave a weak smile. “I know.”

While they were talking, Feng Wu calmly observed Ouyang Zhuangyu. When the room fell silent, he opened his Qiankun Pouch and took out a small wooden box.

Taking a few steps forward, he showed it to Bai Hanyun and said, “Fairy Bai, this medicine might be able to cure him.”

As soon as he said that, everyone present looked at him at the same time.

Frowning slightly, Gao Gong asked cautiously, “Captain, who is this young man?”

Hua Yuyu gestured to Feng Wu and introduced him to his friends, “This is Feng Wu. He is Miss Bai’s friend.”

Hearing that this young cosplayer was Bai Hanyun’s friend, Gao Gong and the Wang brothers nodded politely at Feng Wu.

After the brief introduction, Hua Yuyu asked, “Brother Feng, what is inside that small box?”

Feng Wu shuddered when he heard Hua Yuyu call him like that. He quickly waved his hands and said, “Please just call me Feng Wu or Xiaowu.”

Not knowing what was making Feng Wu afraid, Hua Yuyu agreed in confusion, “Oh, alright.”

Getting his answer, Feng Wu let out a sigh of relief before explaining, “This is a medicine given to me by Young Master Gui Ying.”

The moment his words fell, Bai Hanyun’s eyes lit up. She took the small wooden box from Feng Wu’s palm, opened it, and saw a brown-colored pill resting on red cloth.

She took a sniff, and a refreshing herbal fragrance filled her body. The scent made her feel instantly refreshed and energized.

Looking up at Feng Wu, Bai Hanyun asked, “Feng Wu, why did Gui Ying suddenly give you this medicine? Based on his personality, he is surely not the type to hand out good things without a reason.”

Feng Wu, unaware that Bai Hanyun was recalling Gui Ying’s stinginess during their negotiation at the temple, replied calmly, “Young Master Gui Ying gave this pill to this subordinate in exchange for two ice creams.”

The moment he said that, Bai Hanyun was speechless.

“…”

After a brief silence, she gritted her teeth and muttered, “…Damn it. That Gui Ying really isn’t human!”

Not understanding her sudden anger, Feng Wu looked at her worriedly.

Noticing his unease, Bai Hanyun explained, “He was so stingy when doing business with me, yet he is so generous with you. Looks like Gui Ying likes you.”

Hearing this, Feng Wu thought for a moment before saying, “This subordinate believes that the one Young Master Gui Ying is interested in isn’t this subordinate, but Yi Bai.”

Stunned by the unexpected gossip, Bai Hanyun blinked with curiosity in her eyes.

Seeing her behavior as if she was waiting to eat a big melon, Feng Wu added calmly, “Yi Bai has a hobby of writing storybooks. Young Master Gui Ying seems to be very interested in her work. This subordinate even overheard Young Master Gui Ying inviting Yi Bai to go back with him, but Yi Bai refused without thinking.”

After listening to Feng Wu’s explanation, Bai Hanyun’s excitement vanished instantly.

“…” Can’t you just say everything at once? Tsk. You got me excited for nothing.

Feng Wu blinked in confusion as he received Bai Hanyun’s unhappy glare.

After complaining inwardly, Bai Hanyun asked, “Are you sure this can cure Brother Ouyang?”

Feng Wu nodded. “Yes. Although this subordinate is skeptical about Young Master Gui Ying’s personality and brain, this subordinate is sure he wouldn’t lie about the medicine’s effect. After all, the mysterious Gui Clan is not only famous for their strength and influence, but also their knowledge in the medical field.”

Hua Yuyu listened to Feng Wu’s explanation, then asked, “What kind of effect does this medicine have?”

Feng Wu turned to him and replied calmly, “Young Master Gui Ying said that as long as someone still has a breath left, this pill will allow them to recover fully. If it doesn’t work, he is willing to pay with his life.”

Having known Gui Ying for some time, Bai Hanyun knew he wasn’t someone who made claims lightly. Turning to Hua Yuyu, she handed the small box to him and said, “Brother Hua, you decide.”

Staring at the brown pill, Hua Yuyu clenched his fist. After a brief silence, he took the pill and walked toward the bed.

Seeing this, Wang Kaimu took a step and anxiously opened his mouth. However, before he could speak, Wang Kaiye stopped him by grabbing his arm and shaking his head.

Held back by his younger brother, Wang Kaimu could only stay silent and stare at Hua Yuyu anxiously.
