Once Bai Hanyun, Feng Wu, and the others were seated around the low table, Bao Shengjie asked, “Miss Bai, where have you been these days?”

Bai Hanyun looked at their tired faces, knowing they must have worked tirelessly searching for her.

Thinking back on how Ouyang Zhuangyu and Bao Shengjie had risked their lives to protect her, Bai Hanyun finally decided to share her secret. She smiled at the others and waited until Hua Yuyu returned with a tray of tea.

After he sat down on a single couch, Bai Hanyun looked at them and said, “After I fell off the cliff, I went to another world.”

Under the team’s doubtful gazes, she gestured toward Feng Wu and added, “This is Feng Wu. He is a friend from that other world.”

When Hua Yuyu and the others heard this, they fell silent, glancing between Feng Wu and Bai Hanyun.

While Hua Yuyu and the others were thinking whether to bring Bai Hanyun to the hospital for a check-up, Feng Wu clasped his fists and introduced himself calmly.

“My name is Feng Wu, captain of the Fifth Division of the Feng Clan’s Shadow Guard, specializing in security and protection. It’s my honor to meet you all.”

If Hua Yuyu and the others had thought Bai Hanyun was joking before, after hearing Feng Wu’s introduction, they were now convinced that this young man had a few screws loose in his brain.

“You are seventeen years old? I thought you were at least more than twenty years old,” she said in shock.

Feng Wu didn’t understand why she looked so shocked, but he still nodded. “Yes. This subordinate is seventeen this year.”

After a brief silence, Bai Hanyun frowned deeply and muttered, “Feng Xiyan is really too much. How could he employ an underage teen?”

Seeing the topic drift away, Hua Yuyu asked, “Miss Bai, how did you end up in that other world?”

Snapped out of her thoughts by his question, Bai Hanyun asked, “I bet you all noticed something unusual in my warehouse, didn’t you?”

At her question, Hua Yuyu and the others nodded in unison.

Bai Hanyun then began to tell them the story of herself and the Yang Mirror.

“After buying my house, I found an antique mirror in the basement. However, after I displayed that mirror in my living room, strange things started to happen. Every day, bits of trash or broken bowls would appear out of nowhere.”

“A few days later, I discovered that the culprit was the antique mirror itself, so I decided to teach it a lesson by submerging it in the river behind my house.”

“Who would have thought that the next day, I would receive a letter written in ancient scripture from a young general named Feng Xiyan?”

Pointing at Feng Wu, Bai Hanyun continued, “Feng Xiyan is Feng Wu’s master. He is also the Great General of the Feng Army, guarding the western border of the Yu Empire.”

“With the help of the antique mirror, we started exchanging goods and supplies. I sent him supplies, and he sent me bowls and cups in return. After that, you already know the rest. I sold those items as antiques and bought what Feng Xiyan wants in exchange.”

Hua Yuyu and the others nodded again, and Bai Hanyun went on, “When I fell off the cliff, the mirror used its last bit of energy to send me to Feng Xiyan’s world.”

Bai Hanyun pulled up her wide sleeves, then showed them the red mark on her wrist.

“This red mark is the antique mirror’s mark. Its name is the Yang Mirror. The one Feng Xiyan owns is the Yin Mirror. With the help of these two mirrors, we can connect our two worlds.”

When she finished her story, Bao Shengjie’s eyes were already full of admiration.

Hua Yuyu nodded and waited quietly for Bai Hanyun. Before long, she came out wearing the same clothes she’d had on when they left the auction.
