Chapter 356: Space Tunnel
Feng Xiyan was reluctant to part with Bai Hanyun, but he knew both of them had more important things to do. Staring at her, he whispered, “Take care. If you need anything, just let me know.”
“Alright.”
After saying their goodbyes, Bai Hanyun watched Feng Xiyan and Zhan Qi mount their horses. Waving her hand at them, she shouted, “Take care of yourselves! I will visit you again!”
Riding beside Feng Xiyan, Zhan Qi heard Bai Hanyun’s words and turned to look at her.
Seeing that she was still gazing at Feng Xiyan, Zhan Qi then glanced at Feng Xiyan. However, unlike his expectations, there was no sadness—only determination in Feng Xiyan’s eyes.
After sending Feng Xiyan and Zhan Qi off, Bai Hanyun looked around and asked, “Feng Wu, are you still here?”
The next second, Feng Wu appeared before her. Clasping his fists, he said, “Fairy Bai, Feng Wu is here. What are your instructions?”
“Can you help me find a secluded place?” Bai Hanyun asked.
Feng Wu nodded. “Yes.”
After that, he turned to the left and called out, “Yi Bai.”
A few seconds later, Yi Bai appeared before them. She clasped her fists and said, “Fairy Bai, this subordinate will carry you.”
Bai Hanyun smiled at Yi Bai and replied, “Thank you.”
Yi Bai lifted Bai Hanyun and followed Feng Wu. Before long, they arrived a few kilometers away from the Feng Army’s temporary camp.
After Yi Bai put Bai Hanyun down, Feng Wu said, “Fairy Bai, there is nobody around here.”
Bai Hanyun nodded at his words. Just as she was about to ask the Yang Mirror to open the space portal, she paused and looked at Feng Wu and Yi Bai.
After a moment of thought, she asked, “Feng Wu, Yi Bai, do you two want to follow me to my world?”
When Feng Wu and Yi Bai heard this, their complexions paled.
Yi Bai shook her head and hurriedly replied, “Fairy Bai, this subordinate still has a mission to complete, so this subordinate cannot follow you back to Heaven.”
“I see.” Bai Hanyun had already expected this answer, so she didn’t feel anything. She then turned to Feng Wu and asked, “Feng Wu, what about you?”
Looking at her, Feng Wu replied without hesitation, “Fairy Bai, this subordinate’s mission is to protect you and stay by your side. If this subordinate can accompany you back to Heaven, then this subordinate is willing to do so.”
Hearing his answer, Bai Hanyun continued, “I don’t know when I can send you back. Are you sure you are willing to follow me?”
Feng Wu nodded. “Yes.”
Seeing no hesitation in his eyes, Bai Hanyun patted his arm with a smile. “Good. Then you will follow me back.”
After that, Bai Hanyun calmly said, “Yang Mirror, you can send us back now.”
A second later, Yang Mirror’s voice echoed in her mind. [The space tunnel is unpredictable, so you two should hold on to each other. I won’t be responsible if he gets lost in the space tunnel.]
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun worried that Feng Wu might get lost in the space tunnel and quickly grabbed his hand.
Startled by her sudden action, Feng Wu hurriedly said, “Fairy Bai, this is not appropriate.”
When he tried to pull his hand back, Bai Hanyun tightened her grip and warned, “Be obedient. If you separate from me, you might get lost in the space tunnel. If that happens, even I can’t help you.”
Shocked by her words, Feng Wu quickly held Bai Hanyun’s arm tightly.
Seeing him press his lips together, Bai Hanyun shook her head. ‘No matter how skilled he is, he is indeed still a child.’
When they were ready, Bai Hanyun said, “Yang Mirror, we are ready.”
[Alright. Hold on tight.]
The moment he said that, the red mark on Bai Hanyun’s wrist began to glow. As the golden light grew brighter, the air in front of them distorted.
A few seconds later, the air seemed to crack, and the pressure grew heavier.
As the crack widened by the second, Bai Hanyun swallowed hard and muttered with a hint of fear, “Heaven, this looks quite scary.”
Moments later, the space crack stopped growing. The next second, a whirlpool spread from its center and slowly formed a space gate.
Wung~ Wung~ Wung~
Bai Hanyun waited until the space gate stabilized before asking, “Is it ready?”
[Yes. Go in quickly. I can only hold the gate open for thirty seconds,] the Yang Mirror urged while channeling his spiritual energy to stabilize the space tunnel.
Hearing this, Bai Hanyun pulled Feng Wu and said, “Let’s go!”
Without hesitation, the two of them stepped into the space gate.
Watching them disappear before her eyes, Yi Bai’s jaw dropped in shock. Before she remembered to take out her small notebook to record the scene, a shadow flew past her and vanished into the space gate.
Whoosh~!
Just as Yi Bai moved closer, the space gate shrank and vanished without a trace.
Standing alone in the wilderness, Yi Bai’s heart trembled. She flipped her palm and took out her small notebook and writing brush from her Qiankun Pouch.
Squatting down, she began writing furiously, recording everything she had just witnessed.
While Yi Bai filled thousands of words into her notebook, Bai Hanyun felt the familiar weightlessness surrounding her.
Wung~! Whoosh!
Sensing the sudden change in the air and temperature, Bai Hanyun quickly opened her eyes, only to see that she was standing on ground covered with boulders and gravel.
Scanning the area, Bai Hanyun realized that this was the bottom of the cliff she had fallen from before.
Remembering that she wasn’t alone, Bai Hanyun quickly turned to her side and saw Feng Wu scanning the surroundings vigilantly, his hand resting on his sword’s hilt.
“Feng Wu, what—”
“Fairy Bai, we are surrounded by more than a dozen people,” Feng Wu interrupted her, then quickly pulled her behind him.
Before Bai Hanyun could ask further, Feng Wu drew his sword and said coldly, “Come out!”
A few seconds later, a group of people stepped out from their hiding spots.
Before Bai Hanyun could see their face clearly, someone rushed toward her.
Seeing this, Feng Wu reacted instinctively and drew his sword.
Shing~!
