Chapter 352: He Is Lucky
The soldier then turned to Bai Hanyun with an apologetic smile. “Young Lady, my brother doesn’t know you are the Great General’s woman. Please forgive his rudeness.”

As soon as he said this, the other soldiers froze at this shocking news. Isn’t the Great General Feng famous for his asceticism and coldness toward women?

Bai Hanyun saw their shocked faces and shook her head. “It’s alright. It’s his kindness to remind me about this matter.”

She paused for a second, then asked, “Do you know where Feng Xiyan is?”

“The Great General left with the other generals. They seemed to be heading to the arsenal to check the weapons,” the soldier replied respectfully.

Getting her answer, Bai Hanyun nodded and turned to leave. After taking a step, she reached into her Qiankun Pouch and took out a few pieces of candy.

Handing them to the soldier, she said, “Thank you. You can share this with the others.”

When the soldier didn’t take them, Bai Hanyun placed the candies on the ground and left with Feng Yi.

Watching her leave, the soldier let out a sigh of relief before releasing the other soldier’s mouth.

He looked down at the candies on the ground, wrapped in beautiful wrappers, hesitated for a moment, then picked them up.

As he smelled the sweet, fruity fragrance from the candies, his eyes widened in surprise. Before the others could ask, he quickly stuffed them into his sleeve pocket.

Curious about his behavior, another soldier asked, “Brother, why are you so nervous?”

The soldier glared at him and asked back, “Don’t you know who she is?”

Everyone shook their heads in unison.

The soldier sighed at this scene and patiently replied, “When the Great General arrived this morning, that young lady was riding in the same warhorse with him.”

Hearing this, the others looked at him in disbelief.

Rolling his eyes, the soldier added, “Not only that, but the Great General was so gentle toward her. He even listened to her and did everything she said obediently. So tell me, should I not be nervous when you are being rude to that young lady?”

After hearing his explanation, the other soldier broke out in a cold sweat.

The rude soldier swallowed hard and said with a fear in his voice, “Brother, thanks to you, I think I just avoided a disaster.”

The soldier sighed, patted his shoulder, and said sincerely, “Next time, think before you speak.”

“Don’t you find it strange that the guards outside let that young lady in so easily? If she can enter the barracks, doesn’t that mean she has some special status?”

“Brother, be smarter next time. Otherwise, your head might have to move house from your neck.”

Leaving those words behind, the soldier shook his head helplessly and returned to his group to continue his meal.

Meanwhile, Bai Hanyun left the military barracks with Feng Yi.

Standing outside the military barracks, she looked around for a while before pointing at a dilapidated store nearby. “Feng Yi, let’s wait for Feng Xiyan there.”

Feng Yi nodded, and they walked toward the store.

Before Bai Hanyun could pick up the fallen wooden chair, Feng Yi quickly lifted it, wiped it clean with his sleeve, and said, “Fairy Bai, please have a seat.”

Bai Hanyun glanced at Feng Yi’s dirty sleeve and said, “Actually, I have a pack of tissues here. There is no need to use your clothes to clean the chair.”

Standing two steps away beside her, Feng Yi replied, “This is nothing. Thank you for your concern, Fairy Bai.”

Feeling bad for him, Bai Hanyun looked around to ensure no one was watching, then secretly took out two boxes of self-heating hotpot, two bowls of self-heating rice, and two cups of cold milk tea.

Placing the food and drinks on the table, Bai Hanyun gestured for Feng Yi to sit and said, “Come, have a seat. We should eat first while waiting for your Master.”

Feng Yi hesitated for a few seconds, but the temptation of the food and milk tea was too strong to resist. After a moment of hesitation, he clasped his fists and said sincerely, “Thank you, Fairy Bai.”

Seating himself across from her, Feng Yi followed Bai Hanyun’s instructions and learned how to heat the self-heating hotpot and rice.

A few minutes later, Bai Hanyun saw that the food was ready and said, “It’s ready.”

As she peeled off the lid, steam rose from the hotpot and rice. Instantly, the fragrance of meat, seafood, and sweet grains filled the air.

Seeing Bai Hanyun already eating, Feng Yi removed the lids from his own hotpot and rice.

Watching the bubbles rise in the red soup, he muttered in amazement, “This is incredible. If we could have this kind of easy-to-prepare food, my brothers and sisters wouldn’t have to starve or eat hard bread on missions.”

Bai Hanyun overheard his words and asked in confusion, “I remember sending some self-heating food before. You didn’t get it?”

Holding his chopsticks, Feng Yi calmly explained, “Most of the supplies were given to the brothers in the Feng Army.”

“As members of the Feng Clan’s secret guards, my siblings and this subordinate are trained to survive on one meal for seven days. Since we are stronger than the brothers in the Feng Army, Master only gave us grains and water, and allocated the rest of the supplies to the Feng Army.”

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun looked at him in silence for a while and then asked, “Didn’t you feel anything about this unfair treatment?”

Feng Yi’s cold expression softened slightly at her words. Shaking his head, he replied, “Master and the Feng Clan are the ones who saved this subordinate and my siblings. If not for our Master, we would have died a long time ago.”

“Since the Feng Army is very important to Master, as his subordinates, everyone in the secret guards does our best to help Master protect the brothers from the Feng Army. This is not only our duty, but also our will.”

Bai Hanyun stared at him for a long time before saying softly, “He is lucky to have all of you.”
