853: Divine Bastion 853: Divine Bastion Suddenly, Vega’s senses tingled as her Eyes of the Universe perceived something, no, someone.

Vega blinked, and in the very next instant, an eleven-winged Angel stood before her, no more than a single meter away.

Hovering above the Angel’s palm was a light based attack condensed into a dazzling sphere, vibrating with such destructive brilliance that space bent in trembling arcs around it.

Before Vega could even blink, the attack exploded outward in point blank accuracy, slamming directly into her with divine force.

The explosion was enormous, titanic in every possible sense of the word.

A massive dome shaped burst expanded in several layered waves, each wave roaring outward with cataclysmic might.

Cosmic wind spiralled around the explosion in colossal circular currents, tearing apart the surrounding void and causing distant stars to flicker like dying candles.

For a moment, cosmic smoke and debris overwhelmed the entire expanse.

The dust haze spread for kilometers, shrouding the battlefield in deep, swirling obscurity.

From the veil of haze, the eleven-winged Angel shot outward at blitzing speed, its body a golden streak of incandescent divinity.

It landed upon the flaming surface of a nearby sun, and the impossible heat did not disturb it in the slightest.

Through the haze, Vega’s figure materialized, not staggered, not scorched, not even ruffled.

She emerged perfectly intact, her form pristine, elegant, and untouched.

Not a single strand of her purple hair had shifted out of place.

She looked as immaculate and beautiful as ever, as though the star-shattering attack had occurred in a completely different realm, far away from her existence.

And, in truth, it had.

The moment the explosion erupted, Vega had simply phased through it, allowing the attack to wash over an intangible form while she remained unscathed.

Her eyes shifted toward the eleven-winged Angel who had dared attack her.

Vega had barely perceived the Angel’s movement; if not for her special eyes, she knew she might have suffered a real wound in that instant.

‘Such speed,’ she thought to herself, a rare flicker of admiration mixing with her rising thrill.

Although she had been effortlessly killing countless races from the Divinora Galaxy, she understood that an eleven-winged Angel was on an entirely different tier.

Her power might not yet surpass such a being, but assumptions were meaningless unless tested.

Vega welcomed this opportunity to verify the limits of her own strength.

As she pondered, the Angel acted again.

Faith energy erupted from its body in a glorious golden torrent, forming thousands of blazing flame spears.

With a deafening boom, the spears shot toward Vega like a storm of divine bullets.

Vega did not blink.

The moment the spears neared her, time froze around them.

Each spear halted mid-flight, suspended in perfect stillness.

If they had been composed of mana, Vega could have seized control of them and redirected the entire attack back at the Angel.

But the fatal flaw lay in the source, the spears were born of faith, a power she could not directly command.

Still, that did not mean she lacked her own means of retaliation.

With a mere thought, the suspended golden flame spears vanished from existence entirely.

Instantly, gravity intensified around the Angel, increasing by hundreds of times as Vega attempted to crush it in place.

But the Angel foresaw the attack.

With a single flap of its wings, it dissolved into golden luminance, vanishing just before the crushing gravitational force clamped shut.

It reappeared in a blur of golden brilliance, streaking toward Vega and erasing the distance between them in less than a heartbeat.

Vega responded instantly.

She waved her hand across the fabric of space, and an enormous spatial slash tore outward toward the Angel, cleaving through reality like a blade through silk.

But the Angel simply shifted into a flicker of divine light, dodging with insulting ease.

The spatial slash cleaved through a star behind it, slicing the celestial body apart.

The star detonated in a colossal eruption, flooding the cosmos with raw energy and blinding radiance.

A fist streaked toward Vega’s head, and she met it without hesitation.

Her blade blurred, intercepting the divine knuckles head-on.

The impact shattered sound itself, sending shockwaves rippling through the void.

Vega’s body was hurled backward at screaming velocity from the overwhelming force.

She frowned, not from pain, but from respect for the power behind the blow.

She hadn’t been injured, but the Angel’s strength was undeniable.

Her body twisted mid-flight, allowing her to land upon the surface of a nearby planet with a deft, flawless touch.

Her head snapped upward, purple eyes narrowing.

But the Angel granted her no pause.

It was already there, already upon her, its fist descending with brutal intent.

This time, Vega did not block.

She dove aside, dodging with absolute, razor-sharp precision.

The Angel’s fist struck the planet’s surface an instant later.

The force made the planet sink inward like a stretched membrane before the entire celestial sphere imploded upon itself, collapsing in a devastating explosion of matter and light.

Vega reappeared atop a star, her eyes glowing as she activated another ability through her Eyes of the Universe.

The Angel closed the distance again, only this time, it no longer seemed unfathomably fast.

It wasn’t that the Angel had slowed; Vega’s perception had ascended to a level so heightened that its movements appeared more comprehensible.

Her body tore forward, evading the Angel’s punch with elegant ease.

More than that, she countered.

Her fist shot upward, streaking toward the Angel’s chin.

A flicker of shock crossed the Angel’s ethereal features as it narrowly evaded the blow.

But Vega saw the evasion before it happened.

She mirrored the movement perfectly, matching the Angel stride for stride.

Mana ignited across her frame, blossoming with blinding brilliance.

White, searing lightning surged through her veins, enhancing her speed to a supernatural degree.

She pushed beyond her limits, seeking to eclipse the Angel entirely.

Her fist rocketed forward once more, a blazing streak of white lightning.

With a world-shaking impact, it struck the Angel’s stomach.

Cosmic air shredded apart at the point of contact.

The Angel hurled backward like a discarded ragdoll, smashing and ricocheting through blazing comet after blazing comet.

Vega gave no pause.

She pursued instantly, a flickering phantom of white luminance.

She knew her strike had not inflicted severe damage, the Angel had mitigated the blow by concentrating faith energy at the point of impact.

But that small victory was enough.

She had drawn blood from a being none of the Divinora races could even scratch.

In a blur, Vega appeared before the Angel again.

Her fist descended like a heavenly decree, lightning crackling with rabid fury.

She manipulated space with a flicker of intent, freezing the Angel’s position to prevent escape.

But as her fist neared its target, the Angel burst into motes of light, dispersing into countless pieces that flickered away.

Vega’s fist slammed into the comet beneath her, reducing it to absolute nothingness.

Her gaze snapped toward the Angel’s reformed figure, its body coalescing as each mote of light snapped back into place.

Vega did not rush.

Instead, she raised her hand and allowed mana to surge from her core in a roaring torrent.

Spatial Collapse.

Space swelled like a balloon, then detonated outward in a cataclysmic wave of destruction.

Reality tore apart in shrieking layers as the void itself collapsed.

Divine Bastion.

The Angel’s voice rang in divine resonance.

Faith energy erupted, forming an overwhelming golden shield around the Angel.

The Spatial Collapse hammered against the barrier repeatedly, distorting the border between existence and oblivion.

The void trembled, the cosmos shaking as these two forces, one human, one divine, waged war powerful enough to rewrite the fabric of the reality itself.
