Chapter 539: The other realm_Part 3
“You smell powerful. Though I hate to say this, I am the son of Ereves, the king of darkness,” he announced, just as Ereves had instructed him, knowing that many of them feared him, fear that ran so deep they could not even destroy Ereves without seeking help outside their world many years ago.

His words made them gasp, and many began to move back, but Thomas stood his ground, arms folded against his chest as he continued regarding Rohan.

“A half demon. No wonder you could come here. Do you think that by telling us you are Ereves’ son, we will fear you and hand over the prisoners?”

“That wasn’t the plan actually,” Rohan replied smoothly. “I don’t hope you would fear me because of who sired me. I hope to make you fear me because I am me. I like it when people shiver at the thought of my name, which we are getting there. Now, before we get into knowing me, I want to know where you keep the prisoners.”

Thomas let out a laugh. “Ereves’ blood indeed, the arrogance runs in your veins. But boy, I will make you regret coming here when only half his blood runs in you.” Saying that, Thomas teleported from his place and appeared in front of Rohan, grabbing his neck and shoving him against the wall of the platform, the force breaking parts of the wall along with the platform itself.

“You’re strong,” Rohan choked out as he was slammed to the ground with a force enough to crack it.

Thomas smirked. “I am more than a thousand years old, Dagon, as old as your father. Do you think a fifty-year-old half demon like you can defeat or fight me?” Saying that, he didn’t give Rohan a chance to counter his strength. A long, sharp stiletto sword appeared in his hand, and he raised it, thrusting it into Rohan’s stomach, pinning him to the ground.

Rohan’s eyes turned bloodshot, and blood flowed from his nose as pain shot through every nerve in his body, leaving him unable to rise.

Thomas grinned as he watched the half demon. “Pathetic. Take him to the prison to join the rest; he is now a prisoner of our world.” Saying that, the demon turned to leave, intending to resume his party and dance with his women, confident that no demon of darkness could fight when pierced by a stiletto made of their energy, which naturally repelled dark demons, especially one who was half, a weakling.

However, he didn’t expect to hear Dagon laugh like a maniac behind him.

“Actually, you’ve got it wrong. I am seventy-four years old, and I defeated Ereves in a fight,” Rohan said. Thomas turned in time to see him break the stiletto sword into two, pull it out of his stomach, and rise to his feet, his eyes deadly black and dark veins crawling across his skin as the long claws on his nails grew sharper.

“Wha—” Thomas began to say, but Rohan moved with the speed of light, appearing behind him, thrusting the half-broken stiletto sword into his stomach, then speeding back to his front to grab his neck with one hand while thrusting the other hand into his chest, wrapping his fingers around Thomas’s heart.

“Tsk, before you try to kill a half demon next time, first figure out what his other half is,” Rohan said, tilting his head with a smirk. “I wasn’t bred with a human but a pureblood vampire. Now, where were we?” Thomas’s eyes went wide, realizing that Rohan could kill him by ripping out his heart, which his hand was now wrapped around.

The other demons watching rushed forward to help their lord, but Rohan warned, “Ah, ah, ah. I wouldn’t come any closer if I were you. Step forward and I will rip his heart out along with his head.” His dark eyes bored into Thomas’s silver ones.

“How dare—” Thomas began, but Rohan tightened his grip on his heart, making him groan.

“What do you want?!” Thomas said quickly, panic overtaking him before this abnormal demon could kill him in his own realm.

“Now you’re talking. I want the demons you have in captivity in exchange for your life,” Rohan bargained.

Thomas nodded quickly.

“Fine. You will get them. Let go of my heart,” he growled.

Rohan clicked his tongue. “I am no fool, Tom. Order your men to release them and bring them here before I release you.” His smile didn’t falter, as he was indeed enjoying himself, it had been a long time since he had this much fun.

Thamos, who didn’t want to release the demons and thought Rohan was foolish to release him first, suddenly realized he was in hot water. Closing his eyes and opening them again, he shouted, “Do as he says!”

The other demons hesitated, knowing what it meant to release those captive demons they had imprisoned for years just to demonstrate their superiority over the dark demons. But seeing their lord in the hands of the dark demon, they had no choice at all. Few of them teleported to carry out the orders.

Rohan didn’t release his grip on Thomas until the five captive demons were dragged into the building, all of them bound by powerful chains that bind their powers so they couldn’t fight or escape.

Rohan turned his gaze to the prisoners.

Their skin was as tanned as his own. The three males, despite being chained, were tall, strong, and radiated anger, their dark eyes burning as they glared at the light demons around them like they would burn them to ashes. The two females, in contrast, looked at Rohan with quiet curiousity. Both had the darkest hair and eyes, and honey-toned skin that gleamed even in the dim light.

“Unchain them,” Rohan commanded, jerking his head toward the captives.

They obeyed immediately.

The five demons were soon unchained, and two of the males and the females opened their wings, using them to strike the light demons around them, knocking them miles away.

“Freedom at last! Father, shall we kill them?” one of the two males asked the demon who appeared to be their sire, who was regarding Rohan for an answer. Being full blood demons gave them the advantage of regaining their strength immediately after being unchained.

“Don’t ask me, ask the prince,” he replied, referring to Rohan, who was the son of their king.

“My Lord,” they all bowed to Rohan, who was still holding Thomas. “Your wish is our command. Shall we fight?”

“I am not here to fight a war, but to release you,” Rohan said to them, then turned to Thomas. “If you know what is best for you, demon, let’s drop it here. Try any funny business and I will come for you.” He removed his hand from the demon’s chest, releasing him.

Thomas fell to the ground, gasping for air and touching his chest where the hole Rohan had made had closed, healing and protecting his heart. He looked up to see Rohan turning away with the five freed demons without sparing him another glance.

Thomas’s men began to prepare for a fight, but he stopped them. “Let them go.” They had believed that holding the five prisoners gave them confidence because Ereves couldn’t enter their world to free them, but they hadn’t accounted for this mysterious son, who could move freely between realms because of his half-breed nature.

“Have a nice party, Tommy,” Rohan said as he disappeared into the portal with the five demons, knowing the demons of light were cowards and won’t dare come and fight him.
