Magus Supremacy - Chapter 688
Chapter 688: Counting Sins
CHAPTER 688

“Dimensional Slash.”
The sound of something cracking, similar to fragile glass shattering under pressure, echoed loudly through the area.
Z5’s eyes widened instantly, blood erupting from his mouth as he clutched his chest in searing agony, brows twitching uncontrollably and then.
Shatter!
It felt like the atmosphere itself split apart.
That was because it truly did.
A massive slash of pure nothingness tore through the space where Z5 had sealed Grey earlier and continued onward violently, blood spraying uncontrollably from the sealing mage’s mouth.
It struck the man’s hands, ripping them cleanly from his body and leaving him armless as his pupils dilated in sheer horror.
Blood continued gushing from his lips as both him and Z5 lifted their gazes upward, only to see Grey calmly walking out from the fractured space he had been sealed inside.
Half of his face remained smeared with blood but he showed no concern as he stared ahead, his grin stretching wider.
Then he tilted his head slightly, shifting his gaze toward the mage below.
“You’re a problem. You need to go,” he uttered with chilling composure.
The kind of calm that felt soothing on the surface yet filled the soul with terror over what would inevitably follow.
Before anyone could even draw a breath, Grey moved faster than light itself.
He materialized before the mage in an instant.
Thrusting his hand forward, a lightning sword erupted from his palm, piercing straight through the man’s chest.
It tore cleanly through his torso and continued onward, blood flooding his mouth as he coughed violently before collapsing to the ground with a dull thud.
Z5 froze midair, utterly unable to react.
‘H…how did he escape? It’s as if he actually destroyed the space itself.’
Grey slowly turned to face Z5 who still hovered above.
“I still have unfinished business with you.”
The moment those words left his lips, he vanished and reappeared directly before Z5, eyes gleaming intensely.
“AHHHH! Curse you, Grey! Just go to hell!”
Z5 roared furiously as rage boiled within him.
Snapping his fingers, wind swords screamed downward toward the mage at blistering speed.
Grey casually leapt backward, hands still tucked inside his pockets.
His own wind swords shot forth, colliding with Z5’s attacks in a brilliant eruption of sparks.
Yet it was merely a diversion, because Z5 had already vanished from sight.
“You know,” Grey began calmly, glancing upward with a tired sigh.
“I wanted to act composed with you and take my time tormenting you.”
Z5 appeared beside him instantly, a shadow sword lashing toward Grey at maximum velocity.
Spinning swiftly, an earth wall surged upward between them to intercept the incoming blade.
However, as if the obstruction never existed, the projectile phased straight through the earthen barrier and continued onward while Grey was nowhere to be found.
He had already blinked away, allowing the shadow sword to strike the mountain beneath harmlessly.
“But whenever I start counting your family’s sins, I feel this fury boiling inside me, threatening to rip me apart from within.”
Z5 glanced upward, teeth grinding fiercely as he kicked against the air, launching himself toward Grey at breakneck speed.
He closed the gap instantly, appearing before him in a flash and swinging his fist forward as a violent current of wind exploded outward.
Grey swiftly ducked, narrowly evading the blast that detonated through the air with a thunderous bang.
In the same instant, the Supreme Magus thrust his hand forward to counterattack, but a shadow portal swallowed Z5, pulling him out of danger just in time.
Then Z5 emerged directly behind Grey faster than the warrior mage could respond and drove a massive wind sword straight into his back without hesitation.
The magical weapon tore through flesh, blood spraying from Grey’s mouth as his body lurched forward in midair before blinking away in the nick of time.
‘Damn it! What is his fifth affinity? He keeps slipping through space, slicing reality itself…’
“Firstly,” Grey appeared back again a few metres away from Z5, the wind sword still embedded deep in his back.
“Your younger brother not only violated my mother, he murdered her. Then you came back trying to end my life and in the process killed Vanessa and Millie.
The family that took me in when I had nobody left. When I had no memory of who I was. Then you even tried to kill mother Clarice after your brother slaughtered my biological mother.”
“And so what?!” Z5 thundered in uncontrollable rage as he blitzed forward with tremendous velocity.
He appeared before the Supreme Magus in the blink of an eye.
His fist shot forth at blazing speed, compressed wind coiling around his arm and amplifying the force behind the strike.
As the knuckles neared Grey, a wind spear began protruding outward from his fist, spiraling violently.
“So you were about to take another mother from me. You Otherworlders stole everything from me,” Grey replied coldly as he caught the punch within his palms.
The wind spear pierced straight through his hand and jutted out the other side, yet he maintained his grip without wavering.
His face twisted in pain but his eyes remained hardened as a violent pressure burst outward, causing the mountain to tremble violently beneath them.
Grey did not shift even slightly as he held the attack firmly, Ki erupting fiercely around his clenched hands.
“Let me go!” Z5 roared furiously as he swung his leg forward in desperation.
“I’m going to take everything from you all too,” Grey muttered callously.
His muscles swelled grotesquely as Ki rapidly condensed around the arm restraining Z5.
“AHHHH!” Z5 screamed in agony as his bones cracked loudly, fracturing beneath the overwhelming strength crushing them.
“Get away!”
Fifty wind swords tore through the air toward the Supreme Magus at neck breaking velocity.
“Folding.”
The blades instantly missed their mark, crashing violently into the mountain and carving out a massive cavity with deafening detonations.
“I’m taking everything, starting with your limbs.”
The declaration rang out like divine judgment as Grey yanked backward with brutal force.
Z5 screamed as his arm ripped free from his shoulder violently. The sound resembled thick material being torn apart under extreme strain.
Blood sprayed everywhere, staining the air crimson for a brief moment as Z5’s agonized screams echoed endlessly.
Yet Grey was far from finished.
Ki continued condensing around his hands at an alarming rate while blood streamed freely from his wounds, but he showed no concern and allowed Z5 no time to recover.
He kicked against the air with a thunderous explosion and appeared directly before the broken man.
His expression twisted savagely as he grabbed Z5’s face, his palm still infused with dense Ki, then with a deafening roar, the Supreme Magus hurled the human downward like a discarded ragdoll.
BANG!
The air shuddered violently and split apart as Z5’s body tore through it.
In an instant, the mage slammed into the mountaintop with a clamorous boom and did not stop there.
Driven by Grey’s monstrous throw, he blasted straight through the entire mountain, striking it like multiple speeding trains colliding simultaneously.
The structure shook violently, crumbling apart as cracks spread everywhere before the entire mass shattered.
It rippled briefly like stones skipping across water before collapsing into fragments.
Z5’s mangled body burst through the wreckage and flew into the distance, crashing through the forest and snapping towering trees apart like twigs.
