Chapter 682: Never Mess with a Multi-elementalist!
CHAPTER 682
Back at the mountaintop where Grey and Z5 hovered, the Supreme Magus had just revealed that he had awakened his fifth affinity and used it in such a… bewildering, almost incomprehensible way.
Z5’s hand had vanished, from his shoulder downward.
Not sliced, not torn apart, no blood flowing—simply gone as if it had been erased entirely from existence.
The mage’s mind raced in confusion as he hurriedly leaped several metres away from Grey, still suspended in the air.
Had Z5’s face been visible, Grey would have seen the shock, disbelief, and total confusion etched across his features because he could not comprehend what had just happened.
“How…how did you do that? What exactly is your fifth affinity?” Z5 stammered, struggling to regain composure.
Grey’s grin widened to an almost frightening degree as he stared down at the man.
“Why don’t you come and find out for yourself?” he replied, his voice carrying both amusement and menace.
Z5’s remaining hand clenched tightly as he glared at the warrior mage, determination flashing in his eyes.
“You think a single hand is going to stop me? Think again!”
SWOOOSH!
A colossal wind sword materialized beside him, precisely where his left hand used to be.
Without warning, the air roared around his feet and like a streak of lightning cutting across the night sky, Z5 surged forward at blinding speed, appearing directly in front of Grey in a heartbeat.
Grey remained entirely unshaken as he watched the wind sword tear through the air toward his neck at a speed that could shatter perception itself.
“You know…” he muttered, vanishing suddenly from sight.
The wind sword collided with nothing but empty space, shattering into the air with a deafening, clamorous bang.
“I could kill you in an instant, but I still want to make you suffer a little more,” the cold, sinister voice whispered directly behind Z5, an ominous declaration of impending doom.
The Upper Zodiac twisted around in a flash, swinging his remaining hand for a devastating punch, only for it to strike nothing but air with a resonating, thunderous crash.
“Over here,” Grey called, prompting Z5 to whip his head upward just in time to see a massive lightning spear hurtling toward him at neck-snapping speed.
‘Shoot!’ Z5 panicked as a shadow portal materialized directly behind him, swallowing him in a heartbeat, just in the nick of time.
The lightning spear crashed into the mountain with unrelenting force, shattering rock and sending a sonic boom through the air.
It cleaved deeply into the stone, disappearing from sight, causing the entire mountainside to shudder violently.
A portal opened directly behind Grey, and Z5 emerged, a shadow sword materializing instantly in his grasp, faster than the Supreme Magus could react. After all, Z5 was a 7 star mage!
The blade surged forward at insane velocity. Grey crossed his arms in front of his face to block it, but he overlooked one crucial detail.
The sword was composed of shadow, passing through his guard like fine sand slipping from a human grasp.
Before he could react further, it solidified inside him, stabbing into his chest with lethal precision.
The weapon drove in with full force, aiming to impale him completely, yet it was unable to penetrate fully.
Grey’s internal body was now enveloped in Ki, forming a barrier that absorbed and dispersed the impact of the strike.
It went just about ten inches in, drawing blood, but then froze, unable to penetrate any further.
“Why won’t you just die?!” Z5 bellowed, his fury manifesting as an enormous surge of wind slamming into Grey with the force of a battering ram.
The Supreme Magus was sent hurtling backward at incredible velocity, breaking the sound barrier for a fleeting moment as the world itself seemed to ripple around him.
Z5 vanished into a shadow portal, reappearing directly behind the hurtling Grey.
“Wind magic; Ripping Tornado!” he shouted, eyes blazing with rage.
A massive tornado, swirling with chaotic ferocity, smashed into Grey’s back. The air froze as if the world had held its breath.
A split second later, a reverberating explosion echoed through the mountains as Grey rocketed forward, saliva trailing from his mouth as he zipped through the air like a living cannonball.
“You thought you could handle me? I warned you, I am a freaking 7 star mage!” Z5 bellowed, vanishing again to materialize directly in front of the hurtling warrior.
Grey gritted his teeth, tugging desperately at the shadow sword embedded in his chest, but every attempt failed as it slipped through his fingers like an intangible phantom, a weapon untethered from reality.
“Boy, you need to know how best to pick your damned fight!” Z5 thundered, swinging a fist with blinding speed.
The air rippled violently as the punch streaked toward Grey’s face, but to Z5’s shock, a smirk curled across the Supreme Magus’ lips.
“Folding,” he muttered.
With that single word, Z5’s punch smashed into empty air with a clamorous bang, missing by an immense margin.
Grey had already shifted about ten metres away, leaving the Upper Zodiac utterly bewildered.
Grey held out his hand to his chest, eyes flickering with a hint of uncertainty, yet he pressed forward.
“Space sever.”
In an instant, the shadow sword embedded in his chest vanished from sight, erased in the same manner as Z5’s missing hand.
Grey exhaled sharply, blood trickling down the wound, but he stood unbroken.
Z5’s mind spun in disbelief.
‘What is his fifth affinity? How can someone suddenly become this overwhelmingly powerful? What the hell is going on?!’
“You keep bragging about being a 7 star mage, huh?” Grey said, wiping the blood from his mouth.
The wind hummed around his outstretched hand, circling with a growing intensity.
“But it seems you never paid attention when you were inducted into the Otherworlders organization.”
The wind began to howl violently as a massive vortex started spinning directly in front of Grey’s palm.
Twisting, turning, and drilling with unimaginable speed, it radiated raw destructive power.
“Never mess with a multi-elementalist.”
BANG!
An ear-splitting roar erupted as a colossal wind drill tore through the air, racing toward Z5.

Sentiments aside, I think I deserve support even if it’s just power stones, golden tickets or even comments. Heck! A review would be nice 🤧
Sigh… Anyway, A big shout-out to Fenrirstormspear, ShadowMornachx and Midnight flicker Sama for the constant support in the form of power stones, Golden tickets and even ice colas. Thank you ☺️🤝
