Chapter 679: What Can You Do?
CHAPTER 679

***

“Shoot! You unlocked the seal? Why?” Jim shouted, his voice echoing in the realm conjured by one of the first-generation mages—Blake.

His brown hair ruffled slightly as he darted around in panic, eyes wide with disbelief.

The old man didn’t even bat an eyelid, his calm aura unshaken.

He cocked his shoulders back, eyes tracing his fingers moving through the air like they were dancing, summoning something unseen.

“I saw no point in sealing his memories again because they were already on the verge of unsealing themselves,” Blake replied, his tone calm but carrying a sharp edge.

Jim lifted a skeptical eyebrow.

“Aren’t you worried that he might return to his world and hunt the otherworlders down? He might go on a rampage.”

Blake tilted his head toward the younger man, a wry grin creeping across his face.

He snapped his fingers, and a holographic display flickered to life, showing Grey standing on the ground conversing with Z5.

“He won’t…”

Blake froze mid-gesture. Why?

«After I’m done with you, I will find your organisation even if they, like, reside on the moon.

I will locate you all, send everyone including your blasted leader to hell. Young, old, children, or newborns.

I will make sure my wrath is felt across all four corners of this universe, especially if they are part of your group. That is all I have to say to you.»

Jim just facepalmed, muttering under his breath, “Oh well, guess you are wrong.”

Blake paused, hands clenching so tightly that the veins on his arms stood out, his calm facade finally cracking.

“See, this is exactly why I sealed his damn memories!” he bellowed, his voice vibrating through the empty space angrily.

***

Five hundred wind swords froze midair, suspended like deadly statues.

Five hundred lightning swords hovered alongside fifty wind and lightning birds, their wings flapping softly in the sky, rippling with raw energy.

Below them, a thousand-strong army of men and beasts readied themselves, the tension palpable as their eyes glimmered with anticipation and hunger for chaos.

“Full force then.”

Snap!

The sound echoed like thunder, a signal that the battle had officially begun.

The suspended attacks screamed downward like divine judgement, cutting through the air with blinding speed.

The army below unleashed a barrage of spells and arrows, streaking through the atmosphere in a flurry of chaos.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

BOOOM!

The elemental attacks collided with incredible force, shaking the air violently.

Arrows struck the swords, but the steel and wooden projectiles shattered like fragile paper.

The elemental blades cleaved through the attacks, slicing the air with a terrifying whistle.

The mages’ counterattacks from below were still enough to intercept some strikes, but not all. Each clash in the air sent shockwaves rumbling across the terrain.

Z5, brimming with fury, snapped his fingers. Shadows erupted from beneath the feet of his army, engulfing them and sinking them into darkness just in time to prevent further losses.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The elemental projectiles smashed into the ground with earth-shattering force, sending tremors through the landscape.

Craters formed where the lightning swords tore through rocky terrain, cleaving stone as if it were paper.

The wind swords carved furrows across the battlefield, leaving devastation in their wake.

When the attacks settled, the army rose once more, sending another wave of arrows and projectiles hurtling toward Grey.

“Can you handle them?” Grey suddenly asked, his tone calm yet commanding, as he snapped his fingers.

In an instant, the wind and lightning birds vanished from view, dissipating like mist.

“Sure. But remove a portion first, so your mind can remain at peace,” a voice whispered in his mind, smooth and familiar.

Grey smirked, his eyes glinting with amusement and determination.

“Seems like you know me pretty well.”

“Time for a mass delete,” the voice replied, echoing with intent.

Grey held his hands outward, his gaze glowing with fierce intensity.

He gritted his teeth as the raw power surrounding him began to surge, his presence radiating a lethal aura that made the air tremble around him.

Fifty tornadoes instantly erupted into the air.

These weren’t ordinary wind whirls; they were a terrifying fusion of wind and lightning, crackling violently within their spinning cores.

The air hummed with energy as each vortex rotated with ferocious intensity, like a storm infused with raw elemental power.

Fifty of these lethal tornadoes appeared, and in a fluid motion, Grey flicked his wrist, sending them crashing downward at sound-breaking speed.

The wind screamed as the tornadoes tore across the battlefield, leaving devastation in their wake.

Z5 spun around, preparing to command his men into the shadows for protection, but before he could act, Grey materialized directly in front of him.

So fast it seemed as if he had teleported.

No sound preceded his arrival, no shift in the wind betrayed his movement; he simply appeared as if he had always been there, a phantom of precision and power.

“Let’s go somewhere private,” Grey muttered.

He gripped Z5’s shoulders, and in the next moment, they vanished from view.

The army and beasts below were left in chaos, screaming and desperately conjuring earth walls, magical shields, and any form of protection they could muster.

Alas, it was futile.

The tornadoes smashed through the barriers with unrelenting force, lightning arcing through the bodies of those foolish enough to stand in their path.

Jolts of excruciating pain tore through them, and the air resounded with screams of agony.

Some of the more cautious humans and beasts leaped aside, narrowly avoiding the deadly spirals, but many were not so fortunate.

Nearly five hundred men and creatures were cleaved in two, and even the innocent ground beneath suffered the same brutal fate.

As suddenly as they appeared, the tornadoes vanished, leaving nothing but wreckage and confusion.

The survivors looked around frantically, unsure who would strike next, only to realize Grey and Z5 had completely vanished from sight.

“Over here!”

A voice boomed inside the minds of the soldiers, commanding their attention. They twisted and turned, scanning frantically for its source, but found nothing.

Then, from the corner of their vision, a small figure bounded excitedly.

Peering closer, they saw a puppy-like wolf with bright red fur, hopping up and down, trying to draw attention.

“I will be your opponent for today!”

The mages erupted in laughter, mocking the small creature.

“You? You think you can face five hundred men and beasts? How ridiculous!” one sneered.

Another added, “What can you possibly do? Bite our limbs off?”

Hahahaha!

“No, but I can do this,” Noir growled, his small form suddenly brimming with an aura of menace.

Before their horrified eyes, the tiny wolf rapidly grew in size.

In mere seconds, Noir expanded until he was as large as a house, his red fur bristling and eyes glowing with demonic intensity.

“And this.”

The wolf’s jaw yawned wide open, far too wide for a natural creature, and from it, an enormous fireball shot forth like a flaming comet, hurtling toward the stunned army with unstoppable force.
