Magus Supremacy - Chapter 674
Chapter 674: A Promise!
CHAPTER 674
“You all forgot who I am? I’m the Supreme Magus.” Grey beamed widely, exuding confidence that made the room tense.
The next second, he swirled all his Ki, directing it to his hands, especially focusing on his forearms. Every muscle tensed as he prepared for impact.
He hurriedly brought his arms in front of his face at the perfect moment just as the shrapnel struck with lethal precision.
A huge gust of wind erupted outward as the force of the slam sent him crashing into the ground.
The earth projectile dug deep, attempting to pierce his forearms, but he grit his teeth, resisting with all his Ki focused there.
“AHHHHHH!” he yelled in sheer determination, swinging his arms violently to hurl the earth shrapnel away.
It flew with incredible force, crashing into a wall and tearing a gaping hole through it.
‘He is strong,’ the man mused from above, eyebrows knitted in surprise and annoyance.
‘I thought he would be overwhelmed by the number of men I brought, but he keeps improvising. I want to kill him as soon as possible, but I also want him to suffer immensely before I end him.
I want him to beg for death while I torture him, make him scream in agony. My brother was burned alive. He will experience the same hell here.’ He clenched his hands so tightly that his nails dug into his palms, white with tension.
Springing upright, Grey rolled forward with lightning speed, grabbing his sword before spinning around to block a vertical slash that was mere inches from striking him.
He shot upward instantaneously, and in one fluid motion, drove his toes into the midsection of the man in front of him. The force sent the body hurtling backward, crashing into several others.
“AHHHH!” one warrior screamed loudly as he approached rapidly.
“Tsk, how foolish,” Grey mused, rotating gracefully.
In a flash, he sidestepped a vertical slash and rammed his foot into the man’s side. A loud cracking sound echoed as the ribs collapsed under the full impact.
Before he could continue, his ears twitched as a powerful wind gale headed straight for him.
He leaped to the side with expert timing, barely evading the attack as the gale smashed into the warrior he had just struck, sending the man flying through a wall, blood spraying from his mouth.
‘I have just a few seconds left before the effects of the pill wear off.’
Before Grey or the remaining warriors could react, the mages seized their chance.
They summoned earth projectiles at astonishing speed—shards, spears, spikes, shrapnels all hurled toward Grey in a relentless barrage.
The warrior mage did not panic. He gritted his teeth, preparing himself mentally and physically.
‘I know there are more waiting outside, but I need to neutralize these mages first before I can focus on the warriors.’
Without hesitation, he lunged forward, piercing through the onslaught like an arrow shot from a bow.
‘No, Grey! What are you doing?!’ Clarice gulped, frozen with fear.
“Let’s GO!” the mage screamed, charging straight into the projectiles.
In the next instant, he became nearly a blur, weaving between attacks with deadly precision.
His sword swatted shards aside effortlessly. His movements were fluid and unpredictable, flowing like water, his body dancing gracefully between strikes.
His eyes were sharp, senses honed to perfection, almost as if he were one with the surroundings.
His fluidity made him appear ghostlike, slipping through deadly attacks with uncanny ease.
But what the mages did not realize was that Grey was not merely dodging.
He was countering as he advanced, striking several projectiles to clear a path and close in on the mages who stood roughly four meters away.
The onslaught could wear down most, but Grey’s immense stamina and battle experience allowed him to push forward.
Hurriedly leaning backward, he avoided a spear aimed at his neck, then recoiled again to gain crucial distance between him and the relentless barrage of attacks. His focus was absolute, his body and mind synchronized, ready for the next strike.
The moment his feet touched the ground, he shot forward again, clashing with the incoming projectiles when a slight shift behind him made his ears perk sharply.
Quickly, he kicked off the ground with all the strength left in him, then slammed his toes into an earth spear that had nearly slipped past his guard.
The instant his foot struck it, the spear’s acceleration surged, tearing a hole through the skull of the warrior attempting to make a stealthy strike on him.
The man above frowned deeply at this scene, his gaze darkening each passing second, teeth grinding with raw fury.
‘I have had enough.’
Pointing his finger forward, he steadied his stance, eyes glinting dangerously as he observed the Supreme Magus weaving effortlessly between the projectiles. Then…
Bang!
Wooosh!
A wind sword erupted from his fingertips at blistering speed.
The sharp sound drew Grey’s attention as he turned. The sword ripped through his shoulder instantly, lifting and flinging him backward with tremendous force.
Blood sprayed out as a wide hole was left in his shoulder.
“Brother GREY!” Millie shouted in shock, her eyes widening at the sight of the mage collapsing onto his knees.
“Make sure he isn’t able to stand up,” the man above ordered coldly. Hearing the command, the mages responded immediately.
They swarmed Grey from every direction without giving him a second to breathe.
Earth clubs in hand, they swung simultaneously, smashing one across his face.
Blood burst out as his head whipped back.
Another club slammed into his gut with brutal strength, forcing him to curl forward in agony as saliva flew from his lips.
A third mage rushed in from above, aiming to crush his skull. Grey’s hands jerked violently with the final shred of strength in his body.
His sword blurred forward and pierced the mage’s throat. Pulling it free, the man collapsed with a thud, lifeless, eyes dulling instantly.
That one kill earned Grey a fresh wave of vicious beatings, while someone behind clenched her tiny fists so tightly that her knuckles nearly popped.
Millie trembled, eyes burning with rage as she watched Grey being battered repeatedly, his blood splattering across the floor.
“ARGHHHH! I WILL KILL YOU ALL!” she screamed, her piercing cry freezing everyone momentarily as their eyes snapped toward her.
Without hesitation, she grabbed a weapon, her small fingers curling tightly around the shaft as she shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bow.
Grey, huffing on the ground with blood dripping down his chin, turned weakly toward her. He shook his head desperately before mustering everything inside him to shout:
“No, Millie! Go the fuck back!”
But the little girl was consumed by fury. She appeared in front of a mage faster than he could react, and the next second, the spear in her hands protruded out of the man’s back.
Yanking her hand backward, the man’s body slid to the ground with a heavy thud, blood gushing from his midsection as his eyes rolled up.
“Millie?” Vanessa muttered, stunned, unable to process what she had just witnessed. Before anyone could act, a roar split the air:
“How dare you?!”
All heads turned toward the floating man. His hair whipped wildly in the rushing wind, his expression twisting in rage as he extended his hands.
Shadows materialized instantly, and the next moment, they wrapped around the small girl.
Her body shot through the air and hovered directly before the mage.
The shadows constricted around her tiny arms so tightly that she cried out, dropping the spear from her trembling fingers.
“NO! MILLIE!” Grey thundered as he tried to rise, only for an earth club to smash into his leg and face again, slamming him back down violently.
“Remember I said I would kill everyone close to you? Well, how about we start with her?” the man taunted, eyes fixed on Grey’s broken form.
“No, please! Let her go! She’s just a kid! Please!” Clarice begged frantically, tears pouring down her cheeks.
Shadows formed around Millie’s neck like crushing hands, tightening mercilessly as the little girl gasped, struggling for air.
“No! No, no! Please stop! Don’t do this!” Grey screamed, voice cracking as tears streamed freely down his face. He pushed himself up again only to be whacked back down mercilessly.
“Why? Why should I spare her?” the man asked coldly. “She killed, and she must be killed. My brother died by your hands as well.”
“But I don’t remember! I lost my memories! I don’t even know what I did! Please, I beg you, let her go!” Grey choked out, tears cascading.
“Sadly for you, I already promised myself that you would suffer hell on earth.”
SWOOOOSH!
TCHWK!
In the blink of an eye, before anyone could react, a massive wind sword materialized and blasted forward so swiftly that no one even blinked before it tore through Millie’s small body.
Her blood sprayed across the air, and the shadows released her as she plummeted downward, blood pouring from the wound, her eyes fluttering weakly, breaths shallow and fading.
“NOOOOOOOOO!” Grey and Clarice screamed together, their voices shaking the entire battlefield.
