Magus Supremacy - Chapter 673
Chapter 673: Everywhere Blurred
CHAPTER 673
Hearing the call for the attack, the dozen men dressed in red darted towards the Supreme Magus while the mages in the room stood back, their hands glowing, ready to unleash powerful spells when necessary.
BANG!
Grey shot forward like a blur, Ki swirling around his feet, amplifying his speed and agility.
Though not as fast as when he used his lightning magic, he still moved far faster than normal humans, being a stage 3 warrior.
Instantaneously, weapons lashed through the air toward him at terrifying velocity, each one aimed to pierce, slice, or crush.
He twirled on one foot, bringing his sword up to intercept a striking blade.
A loud clang reverberated through the room as metal collided, Grey still wearing a confident, almost cocky smile.
An attacker swiftly pivoted around, thrusting his spear toward Grey’s back at full speed.
The warrior mage hurriedly spun in a sharp U-turn, letting go of his sword after the previous clash.
In one fluid, seamless motion, he grabbed it again just before it hit the ground, lifting it in front of his face to block the spear strike that slammed into the back of his katana.
The force drove him sliding backward, teeth grating from the impact, but Grey was far from deterred.
After taking the blue pill, his speed surpassed that of a normal stage 3 warrior, briefly elevating him to stage 4 power for the next two minutes as he blurred forward with deadly precision.
His knees drove into the man’s abdomen with crushing force, causing saliva to fly from his mouth. The enemy’s body blasted away just in time for Grey to bend low and evade the follow-up strike.
A sword sliced through the space where the man’s head had been moments ago.
He spun on his knees, lashing out with his sword and slicing the man’s ankles clean, blood spattering in thick, violent waves. Then he hammered the hilt of his sword into the attacker’s face, sending the body flying like a ragdoll.
Arrows rained down from above, forcing him to yank his head up in horror.
“Shoot,” he muttered under his breath.
Dashing side to side in a blur, Grey dodged the arrows, each one tearing the ground beneath it as it struck. One arrow came terrifyingly close, but with lightning reflexes, he swatted it away with his sword just in time.
Another warrior appeared directly in front of him, preparing a devastating punch.
It was like being a lightning mage, his perception had enhanced a lot. He sidestepped with fluid, enhanced speed, letting the punch sail past harmlessly.
Without pausing, he sliced the man’s hand clean off, letting it thud to the ground.
Ki flared around his feet as he propelled himself forward, crashing into the man’s gut with immense force. The enemy’s body was lifted off the ground and blasted into the surrounding crowd of red-clad men.
A frown immediately crossed the face of a man floating above.
“What are you blasted mages doing? Don’t you want to show that you are superior to warriors?!” he barked furiously.
Grey ducked expeditiously in a flash, avoiding a sword strike before jamming his own weapon into the man’s torso. Dragging it horizontally, he cleaved him clean in two.
Luckily, his sword was a high-tier weapon, so it did not matter how strong the enemies were—each one was torn in half with precision and speed.
Clarice could not believe her eyes.
She watched Grey—once weakened when they took him in months ago—now weaving through enemies like an unstoppable phantom, a force of sheer, terrifying power.
Every movement was deliberate, every strike lethal, and every enemy that dared approach met an untimely, brutal end.
His blood hadn’t even touched the ground yet.
The warrior mage was about to blitz forward again when a loud whooshing sound cut through the chaos, drawing his attention. He snapped his head toward the source of the noise.
Only to see a massive wind gale hurtling toward him at terrifying speed.
‘Big mistake,’ he grinned inwardly, swirling Ki around his feet, the energy crackling with intensity. With a forceful stomp, he slammed his feet into the ground.
The flooring cracked beneath his weight, dust and debris scattering as he roughly twirled around, just as the warriors charged at him from behind.
Like a predator stalking its prey, he leapt away at the perfect moment, letting the wind gale collide with the warriors, scattering them like dry leaves caught in a violent storm.
From where he landed, he paid no mind to the warriors as his gaze snapped toward the mages who hurriedly prepared to cast another skill.
“Not at all,” he muttered, his expression hardening as he prepared to surge forward, intent on intercepting them before they could unleash their spells.
Suddenly, something wrapped around his legs.
Glancing down, he saw thick, iron-like chains snaking around his ankles.
In the next instant, everything blurred in his vision as he was yanked downward with crushing force.
His face slammed into the ground, deep crevices forming beneath him, dust billowing into the air from the impact.
But this was far from enough to stop him. He immediately hurled his sword forward with all his might, sending it slicing through the air at blinding speed.
It struck one of the chain wielders directly through the head, faster than the man could react, and he collapsed to the ground with a sickening thud.
In a blink, Grey pulled his foot free from one of the chains and hurled it forward with precision.
It wrapped around the arms of the second wielder. With all his strength, he yanked the man backward, sending him off balance.
Before the man could even recover, Grey appeared in front of him, driving a crushing fist into his face.
The man’s body blasted away violently, his grip on the chains loosening and freeing the warrior mage.
Not for long though, as several sharp earth projectiles hovered ominously above Grey. Before he could even blink, they screamed downwards with deadly intent.
“Shit,” he muttered, gritting his teeth as he rolled across the ground, narrowly dodging the earth shards that tore deep gashes into the floor.
He was about to spring upright when a larger shrapnel screamed down faster than he could react, inches from hitting his face and all he could do was grit his teeth as he watched the attack closing in.
