Magus Supremacy - Chapter 654
Chapter 654: You all shall know pain!
CHAPTER 654
‘What was that? I just heard loud bangs and the men out front dropped to the ground.
What did he use? He only pointed his hands forward and suddenly the men’s knee caps shattered? How?’ Ash kept questioning himself as he stayed at the back while watching the three hundred plus men all rush toward Grey, making the whole place feel even more cramped.
But after Grey’s earlier display, he did not panic.
He simply kept his hands at his sides and observed the crowd charging in his direction.
“Unfortunately for you all, I cannot recognise the faces of the people who interrupted me, so I will simply punish every one of you.” Grey stated callously and then…
BANG.
A thunder-like crack echoed sharply as the Supreme Magus blurred forward, dashing straight into their formation.
The men all paused and gradually turned around to see the Supreme Magus already in their midst.
In the next heartbeat, they all spun aggressively with their various weapons slicing, stabbing and swinging toward him.
‘I refuse to use high tier abilities or spells. I will not kill them because there is something I still want to test with these people. So I will stick to basic magic techniques.’ Grey thought with an inward grin as a sword drifted mere inches from his face, yet he swiftly leaned backward, avoiding it without trouble.
A spear shot toward his back, but without glancing behind him, a powerful gust erupted instantly, slamming into the spear and knocking it off its path.
That created enough space for him to drive his fist straight into the swordsman before him, sending the man’s body flying with brutal force.
Two blades were now closing in from either flank.
With his arms positioned at his sides, Grey released two sharp wind pulses, directing each burst toward their knees.
Both caps burst violently, making the men collapse in agony.
‘This wind pulse technique is truly dangerous. The recoil from it is heavy and would easily injure my hands if not for the Ki coating.’ Grey sighed inwardly as he dropped abruptly to avoid a wild horizontal swing, then slammed his palm straight into the attacker’s abdomen.
A fierce blast of wind exploded from his strike, hitting the man’s stomach with such force that blood splashed from his mouth.
His body lifted off the ground and shot backward like a ragdoll.
A spear lunged toward Grey again, and his reaction came a fraction too late.
He barely evaded.
The spear tore his robe, grazing his arm and creating a thin slash, though no blood was drawn.
“Damn you. That robe was nice and part of my identity. Bastard!” Grey yelled as he jabbed his fist at the man with full speed.
The attacker quickly raised his spear horizontally, attempting to block the strike.
Unfortunately for him, a burst of wind suddenly blasted out, striking Grey’s elbows and amplifying his momentum.
The punch slammed into the spear, which then smashed brutally into the man’s face.
He was lifted from the ground and hurled away.
‘What in the world? How is he pulling this off? How does he fight so well that he is handling dozens of men from the Behemoth clan? How can an alchemi… No.
He is no ordinary alchemist. He is something else entirely. A hardened warrior. But his Ki… Earlier, I could not sense his aura, likely due to something he is wearing, but now I can feel it clearly.
Stage 3. So how is someone on that level defeating these men like they are children?’ Ash wondered, stunned as he continued watching everything unfold.
He could not fully see Grey due to the crowd surrounding him, but the screams, the bodies flying through the air, and the chaos erupting from the center made one thing clear.
Grey was dominating the entire battlefield with frightening ease.
‘Basic spells. Basic spells.’ Grey kept repeating inwardly so he would not go too far as more and more weapons streaked toward him.
He took none of the attacks lightly, yet his movements grew sharper, smoother, and increasingly precise as he fought within the storm of enemies.
Lifting his arm upward, he blocked a sword strike that failed to pierce his skin, for his entire forearm was now hardened with Ki.
Pushing the blade aside, he prepared to counter, but a sudden kick slammed into his chest with enough strength to shove him backward.
Behind him, several spears were arranged, nearly a dozen, all aimed at him.
Grey only frowned and stomped his foot against the ground, and in an instant, his figure burst into the air, dodging the ambush and forcing the men beneath to tilt their heads upward.
Ash also stared above, only to witness Grey hovering midair as though gravity had ceased to matter.
His mask remained firm on his face while his robe fluttered wildly around him.
‘How in the world is he floating?’ Ash wondered with a confused frown.
“Actually, enough is eno…” Grey’s statement was cut short when a spear shot toward him at immense speed, forcing him to sidestep in the air to evade it.
More spears soon followed, hurled rapidly with desperate fury.
“Get back down here, you devil!” one man roared as he gathered Ki in his hand, compressing it tightly around his palm while leaving the rest of his body unguarded.
With all the strength he could muster, he chuck his spear violently toward the Supreme Magus.
The spear sliced through the air with a piercing whistle, whipping toward Grey at frightening speed.
Without hesitation, Grey raised his hand and caught it, halting the weapon instantly.
More projectiles surged his way, but with a wave of his arms, a fierce gust erupted, blasting the weapons outward.
“I have been incredibly generous using simple techniques on all of you, just so I would not kill anyone.” Grey said as he stared at the spear in his grip.
Then he twirled it lightly and fixed his gaze on the man who threw it.
“But clearly, none of you deserve restraint, which is why,” he continued while cocking his arm backward as lightning began crackling around his hand before flowing into the spear.
Ash’s mouth fell wide open at the sight before him.
“You all shall know pain!” Grey declared as he hurled the spear forward with absolute force.
The spear shot forth, breaking the sound barrier in a thunderous bang that even drew the attention of Killian and Osric.
Before anybody could react, it tore through the man’s torso, creating a gaping hole before embedding itself into the ground behind him.
The man’s body dropped with a subdued thud, and everyone turned to Grey in stunned silence.
Yet what happened next left them even more shocked.
Crackle. Crackle. Crackle.
Lightning flared loudly around him, illuminating his form, and within seconds, a pair of lightning boots materialised, settling firmly on his feet.
In one hand, a normal blade appeared, while the other held a blazing lightning sword, all while he continued hovering effortlessly in the air.
‘This is unreal. Who exactly is the Supreme Magus?’ Ash gulped inwardly at the terrifying sight before him.
