Chapter 653: Let’s see what the red one can do!

CHAPTER 653

‘Wind Pulse Ultra.’ Grey called inwardly as he aimed his fingers like a rifle at the hundreds of men who had been charging at him earlier. All of them suddenly froze in one spot.

Bang, bang, bang!

Small, bullet-like bursts of wind erupted from his fingertips at terrifying speed.

In a flash, they connected with the kneecaps of a dozen men in front, rupturing them instantly and sending bodies crashing to the ground with loud, agonized groans.

Everyone stared in complete disbelief at what the Supreme Magus had just executed so effortlessly.

“He is just an alchemist, for fuck’s sake! Face your fears and attack!” Osric barked furiously.

His shout snapped the men out of their terror, forcing them to swallow their panic as they charged forward again.

“I still have unresolved beef with you.” Killian muttered as he leaned forward and then launched himself like a rocket.

His figure blurred and he materialized in front of the vice leader far faster than before, shocking everyone.

‘What?’ Osric thought as Killian appeared right before him with the fiery blade gripped tightly.

The warrior slashed directly for Osric’s head with blinding speed.

‘I feel lighter and faster?’ Killian wondered in surprise as the sword sliced through the air with impressive force.

Osric reacted quickly, swirling Ki to his legs before leaping back in the nick of time, narrowly avoiding the blade… or so he assumed.

The instant his feet touched the ground, a sharp sting flared across his cheek.

He reached up instinctively, then stared at the smear of blood on his thumb.

‘And I landed a hit?’ Killian rejoiced inwardly as he looked down at the pair of swords in his hands, admiration glowing in his eyes.

“That proves nothing!” Osric roared fiercely.

Killian snapped back to reality just in time to hear a deafening crack.

In the blink of an eye, the vice leader was already in front of him, a devastating punch flying straight for his face.

‘Shit!’ Killian cursed silently as he urgently crossed both swords before him.

The punch slammed into the blades with a clamorous bang, the impact strong enough to shove him backward and drag his boots across the floor.

Pain pulsed through his arms.

‘Aside from the speed boost, what other quirks does this modified weapon possess? Damn it, the Supreme Magus didn’t give me any explanation!’ Killian fumed inwardly as Osric charged at him again with monstrous speed.

Killian steadied himself and took a defensive stance.

The vice leader appeared instantly, unleashing an uppercut from below with full power.

Killian attempted to intercept, pulling his sword into the attack’s path, but the strike never came.

Osric had already gathered Ki under his feet and propelled himself upward with tremendous force.

He hovered above Killian for a split second, his hands trembling and glowing slightly with concentrated energy before he swung downward with all his might, causing an explosive bang to tear through the battlefield.

Gritting his teeth, Killian infused both swords with every bit of Ki he could muster at that moment.

The twin blades lit up in unison, radiating raw force as he crossed them above his head just in time.

The Ki-infused fist rushing toward him was terrifyingly close.

BAM!

BANG!

The impact crashed down with overwhelming power, and a violent shockwave erupted instantly.

Several of the approaching men were flung backward like leaves struck by a storm.

The ground beneath Killian’s stance split apart as deep cracks spread outward. A thin stream of blood trickled from the corners of his lips.

Osric landed a few meters away with a calm, arrogant grin as he watched Killian drop to his knees.

The warrior was panting heavily, sweat dripping down his chin, his glowing swords trembling in his hands as he struggled against the lingering force of the Ki fist.

But then something strange began to unfold.

The black sword shone brighter—far brighter than before and as its light intensified, the Ki fist in the air started shrinking rapidly.

It wasn’t dissolving on its own.

It was being dragged into the sword, consumed entirely, as if swallowed by a bottomless void. Osric’s grin disappeared, replaced by a deep scowl.

‘What? How can that happen? How can a sword absorb an attack like that? What trick is this?’ he wondered, clenching his jaw tightly.

‘Wait… it’s not just absorbing it. Is it…?’ Killian thought as he noticed the blade’s glow fading while the radiant orb shifted down the length of the weapon.

It moved toward the handle, then settled neatly into a small circular slot on the guard, puzzling him even more.

“Hold on…” he whispered as a strange sensation spread through his body.

His nearly drained dantian was slowly refilling.

Not completely, but enough to feel significant. As his inner energy recovered, the glowing orb on the sword’s guard dimmed, shrinking gradually until it vanished altogether.

‘What the hell? It can absorb Ki and convert it to replenish the wielder? Damn! This weapon is insane.

The Supreme Magus actually crafted something this outrageous for me?’ Killian thought in disbelief.

He lifted his head to search for Grey, but the sight that greeted him made his eyes widen in absolute horror.

His jaw dropped at the sheer devastation unfolding before him.

Men were being launched into the air like scraps of cloth… no, like lifeless, broken toys tossed aside by an unseen force.

‘I thought he was just an alchemist…’ Killian’s heartbeat pounded rapidly as fear crawled down his spine.

Before he could process more, Osric’s furious roar snapped him back to reality.

The vice leader was already charging toward him with murderous speed.

‘I’ve seen what the black sword can do. Now let’s see what the red one is capable of.’ Killian grinned fiercely and surged forward, ready to clash with the enraged vice leader once again.
