Magus Supremacy - Chapter 650
Chapter 650: Looks like he is pissed
CHAPTER 650
“I won’t let you get close to the door!” Ash shouted as he leaped in front of the charging men, and they wasted no time unleashing their attacks at him with ruthless intent.
“I might not be good combat wise, but I am still strong enough to do this!” he thundered as a blade sliced toward him.
Swirling his Ki to his feet, he shot sideways, narrowly avoiding the strike, then in one smooth movement slammed his palm onto the man’s back.
Instantly, the man’s face drained of color, foam gathered at his lips, and he collapsed lifelessly to the ground.
Alas! The sight alone was not enough to deter the others.
They surged toward Ash with ferocious strikes, each one trying to overwhelm him with sheer brutality.
A few decided to ignore him entirely and sprint toward the door, but he refused to allow even one person through.
Letting blades slice into non-lethal parts of his body, he twirled sharply and seized the collars of two charging opponents.
With every bit of his strength, he kicked off the ground, hovering above them for a brief heartbeat before driving both knees into the backs of their necks.
A loud crunch echoed across the hall as the three bodies dropped.
The two men lay motionless while Ash rolled across the floor, grabbed a fallen spear, and hurled it with all the force he could muster, impaling another man straight through the eye.
Before he could rise to his full height, a dozen fighters appeared in a sudden blur, their weapons cutting through the air as they swung at him at terrifying speed.
“Shit,” he muttered, knowing he would be far too slow to evade.
A split second before their blades landed, a Ki fist blasted forward from the distance, smashing into the attackers and sending them flying.
Ash instantly knew who had intervened.
He shot a quick glance toward Killian, who was panting heavily from the exertion.
That single moment of aid earned him a brutal palm strike to the face, blood spraying out as he staggered backward in disorientation.
“I still have not seen why you are called Killian the Slayer!” Osric taunted, punching the air with tremendous strength and releasing a visible Ki fist that roared toward its target.
Through blurred vision, Killian forced himself to focus.
He grabbed his Ki sword, crossed both blades in front of him like an X, and blocked the incoming Ki fist.
The impact detonated with a deafening bang, sending him skidding across the ground.
Gritting his teeth, he finally diverted the attack, only to see Osric materialize in front of him.
The man swung his fist upward in an apparent uppercut. Killian anticipated it and slashed toward the incoming strike.
Unfortunately, the uppercut was only a feint.
BAM!
A devastating palm strike filled with crushing Ki slammed into Killian’s abdomen.
Blood sprayed from his mouth as his body shot through the air and smashed violently into a nearby wall.
“KILLIAN!” Ash yelled in horror.
He glanced in his friend’s direction, and that small lapse proved fatal. The surrounding fighters swarmed him instantly, eager to finish him once and for all.
A sword slashed toward his neck, sharp enough to sever it completely, but Ash managed to tilt his head aside, letting the blade skim across his skin and draw a thin line of blood.
He retaliated immediately, thrusting his palm into the attacker’s chest and sending the man stumbling away with foam spilling from his mouth.
Before Ash could reposition himself, a powerful punch smashed into his face, hitting him squarely on the nose.
Blood trickled down as his vision spun, and he wobbled backward in disorientated pain, trying to regain his balance while the enemies closed in like wolves.
He wasn’t even able to fully regain himself when another man slammed a heavy fist into his abdomen with brutal strength, forcing the frail warrior to vomit blood as he curled forward in agony, only for a vicious knee strike to crash into his jaw.
His head snapped backward violently, and he crashed onto the ground on his back with a painful thud.
More enemies kept trickling upstairs in relentless waves, so many that the hallway felt tight and suffocating.
Ash lay sprawled on his back, huffing and panting in raw exhaustion, yet he still tried to push himself up with trembling arms.
“Stop moving and making this harder!” one of the men yelled as he stomped his foot down on Ash’s hand, drawing a loud cry of pure pain from the struggling warrior.
“Take him out for good, his poison technique is dangerous,” another shouted.
Immediately, someone dashed forward and leapt high, sword raised above his head, ready to smash down on Ash’s skull.
Before the blade could descend, something whooshed through the air with terrifying speed and slammed into the attacker with overwhelming force.
His body was instantly torn apart, ripped into two halves that hit the ground with a wet thud, splattering blood across the floor and across Ash’s weakened face.
Ash turned to the side and saw Killian dragging himself upright.
Blood dripped from his mouth, nose and cheek, yet he still refused to retreat as he steadied his stance and glared directly at Osric with burning determination.
“Half of you, keep this one busy. We will go break that door open!” someone roared.
Instantly, out of the roughly three hundred and fifty men remaining, a hundred broke away and sprinted toward the bulky door in the distance, leaving the rest behind to keep Ash pinned down, not giving him even a second to breathe.
The hundred men reached the door quickly and in perfect unison swirled Ki around their fists before hammering their blows repeatedly against the massive structure.
Their combined assault shook the hallway as cracks began crawling across the door’s surface.
Seeing that, Killian gritted his teeth and prepared to dash toward them, but Osric appeared in his path again, swinging his hand upward.
A Ki sword materialized in his grasp, its tip almost touching Killian’s forehead.
Killian jerked backward instantly, lifting his sword just in time to block the incoming strike.
The clash generated a gust of violent wind that blasted outward while more thunderous bangs echoed behind them as the men continued pummeling the door.
He cast a quick glance toward the commotion and saw the cracks spreading wider.
The door was seconds from breaking.
‘Shit! The Supreme Magus trusted me. He trusted us to keep him out of trouble.
He said he didn’t want distractions and now… and now… I failed him! His focus will be shattered. He will be dragged out helplessly. Shit! He can’t fight, he is an alchemist, how will he defend himself?’ Killian thought in panic.
Osric refused to grant him even a breath.
He bolted forward, swinging his leg for another brutal roundhouse kick.
Killian barely avoided it and then surged forward with his fist pulled back, ready to deliver a counterstrike when…
BANG!
The sound was earth-shattering, so loud and so absolute that Killian’s heart lurched.
He traced the source just in time to see the door explode outward. Pieces shot into the room violently, and his pulse quickened as his mouth went dry.
Osric immediately used the distraction.
He caught Killian’s incoming punch in his palm and drove his foot into Killian’s leg with ruthless force, sending the warrior collapsing to the ground as the group of men flooded into the room.
“It’s over,” Osric muttered with a wide grin as he swung his Ki-encased foot toward Killian’s face at frightening speed, while the invading men disappeared inside.
“FUCK! I said nobody should interrupt me! ARGHHHHHHH!” a roar erupted from within the room.
Osric froze.
Everyone turned toward the source.
“Supreme Magus, you have been summoned by…” one man began.
“SHUT UP!” a furious voice cut through sharply.
Then…
“AHHHHH!”
WAM!
Two bodies shot out of the room like missiles, slamming into the railing before tumbling down the stairs in violent spirals.
The remaining men inside scrambled backward in terror until they all staggered out of the room.
Instantly, an aura unlike anything before descended upon the entire hallway.
A suffocating pressure pressed down on everyone as a figure stepped out.
His red devilish mask sat firmly on his face, and his purple robe fluttered softly as he walked forward with calm steps that only intensified the atmosphere.
From his stance alone, it was obvious he was beyond enraged.
“What is going on?” Ash croaked weakly as he lay on the ground, limp, helpless, and unable to move while the overwhelming presence crushed down on everyone without mercy.
