Magus Supremacy - Chapter 649
Chapter 649: Protect The Door!
CHAPTER 649
“Kuk, Kuk, Kuk!” Killian coughed harshly as specks of blood slid down the corner of his lips while he pushed himself upright.
His legs trembled for a moment before he finally steadied himself.
He lifted his gaze to see the men backing away until all of them clustered tightly behind the vice leader of their clan.
Their stances tense, their faces hardened, and their eyes fixed on Ash and Killian with a mix of caution and fear.
“I know you too,” Killian muttered as he dragged himself forward, each step deliberate, his expression cold and unyielding.
“Osric, one of the vice clan leaders of the Behemoth clan.”
“Glad you know who I am.” Osric smirked slowly as he walked ahead, one unhurried step after another.
His hands remained tucked in his pockets while a wide grin stretched across his face.
He finally stopped about five metres away, his presence alone radiating pressure.
“What do you all want? Why are you attacking here? Do you even realise what Alba will do if you touch us?” Ash asked sharply, irritation and exhaustion mixing in his tone.
“I assumed you would have figured out our reason by now,” Osric replied with a faint chuckle.
“But in case your brains are too foggy, we are here for the Supreme Magus. Step aside and let us take him.”
“No can do,” Killian answered immediately, his voice firm.
“In case you are unaware, the Supreme Magus is under the Crimson Lotus Clan. You should all turn back now because he won’t join your group.”
“He won’t join us?” Osric burst into laughter and covered part of his face with his palm.
“You think if he sees a better opportunity, he won’t jump at it? Move aside and watch how he walks to us willingly.”
“And what if he refuses?” Ash pressed, his frown deepening.
“What else?” Osric shrugged casually.
“I will end his life right here. If we can’t have him, then no one should. Simple.”
“And what makes you think the Crimson Lotus will allow that?” Killian asked, his tone turning colder.
He stepped two metres in front of the door, planting himself firmly between Osric and the barrier. “I won’t let you lay a finger on him.”
“And risk making us your enemy? Are you absolutely sure you want that?” Osric questioned with a raised brow, his grin widening slightly.
“You think we care?” Killian thundered, anger etched into his face.
“The Crimson Lotus do not form alliances with any faction or clan. We operate independently and answer to no one. So I advise you all to leave now before Alba arrives and this becomes worse.”
“Alba this, Alba that!” Osric roared, eyes blazing.
“You do know that she and I are on the same warrior stage, right? You act like she can simply overpower me.”
“And you think defeating me will be easy?” Killian shot back with a feral grin as he lifted his Ki swords. “Try again.”
“Fine then,” Osric growled after a brief pause.
“Since your minds are set, I will just put you down first. The rest of you, break that door and drag that alchemist out of there.”
Osric leaned forward, Ki swirling violently around his feet while he stared ahead with killing intent thick in the air.
“I will clear the path of obstacles,” he said, and then…
Bang!
He burst forward like a streak of light, appearing directly in front of Killian.
The warrior tensed instantly, prepared for any incoming strike.
Without any hesitation, Osric’s fist launched toward his face with incredible speed.
Killian reacted by swirling Ki across both hands and raising his Ki swords to intercept the blow.
The collision between their strength sent a thunderous crack ripping through the floor beneath them as fractures spread outward in every direction.
Killian clenched his teeth tightly as the overwhelming force surged against him.
Even with the barrier of his blades, the impact was brutal, yet he refused to be pushed away.
Another fist suddenly shot toward his head, but by a hair’s breadth, he tilted sideways.
The punch grazed past him, leaving a thin line across his cheek.
Blood dripped immediately as the remaining force from the attack blasted the air with a violent boom that made the surroundings shake.
“You heard the boss, break that door down!” one of the men shouted, his voice echoing through the hallway.
The cry snapped Killian’s attention sideways, just in time to see a group of warriors racing around the battlefield toward the sealed entrance.
“No you don’t!” Killian roared.
He gathered Ki into his fist and punched forward with everything he had.
A colossal Ki fist shot ahead like a blazing comet tearing toward the attackers.
Many of them leapt aside desperately.
Yet a few were too slow. The attack crashed into their skulls with a savage crack, bending their faces unnaturally as their bodies rocketed backward, smashing through a thick wall before disappearing into the distance.
“Focus on your own fight!” Osric snarled.
Killian spun around but reacted a moment too late.
The vice clan leader’s leg swept toward him with monstrous force, and before he could fully block, the kick connected squarely with his face.
BOOOM!
Bang!
The impact rang out sharply as blood sprayed from Killian’s mouth.
But instead of being hurled away as Osric expected, Killian slid across the ground for a few metres and halted with sheer willpower.
‘Crap! This is terrible. I’ve been fighting nonstop. Earlier today I helped hunt hundreds of sky ranked beasts, then I ended up clashing with dozens of warriors, and now I’m battling someone on Alba’s level? This is insane.’ Killian groaned inwardly.
Even so, he lifted his swords again and braced himself.
His eyes darted toward the door, spotting the men who were still advancing.
He twitched, preparing to attack, but before he moved…
“Focus on that bulk over there! I will do everything I can to stop them from entering!” Ash shouted while dashing toward the incoming warriors.
The warning came at the perfect time, because Osric had already materialised before Killian, his roundhouse kick slicing through the air with terrifying velocity.
“Not again,” Killian muttered.
Ki flared around his arms as he pushed his speed to the limit, raising both swords in time to block the attack.
The moment their bodies connected, the ground beneath them shattered violently. Debris flew upward as the impact froze both fighters in place. Blood dribbled from Killian’s lips while the two remained locked in a fierce stalemate.
