What do you know, the Supreme Magus finally decides to pay a visit after weeks.” A voice could be heard saying as footsteps approached in the dimly lit world while Grey stood in one spot, arms crossed, a wide smile spreading across his lips hidden beneath the mask.

“It’s so nice to see you again, Supreme Magus.” The voice, which revealed to be Dame, said as he came into full view, allowing Grey to see him properly.

“I’m glad that you are doing well, Dame.” Grey replied with a grin as he walked forward until he stood about a foot away from the warrior.

“I would have hugged you right now, just that you aren’t the touchy guy.” Dame chuckled softly as he rubbed his hair while Grey examined him from head to toe, his brows slowly tightening.

“Something is different about you.

Your aura seems to be shifting.” Grey muttered with a slight frown on his face, feeling an odd vibration around Dame that had not been there before.

“Ah yes,” Dame replied with a wider smile as he rubbed his hair even more.

“It is just that I am now terribly close to being a stage 5 warrior.

I am incredibly close after my battle.” “Battle?

What battle?” Grey asked with a raised brow, genuinely confused because Dame did not look like someone who had just survived a deadly fight.

In fact, he looked lighter than usual, almost relieved.

“Oh right, I did not tell you earlier.” Dame mumbled as he dragged his palm across his forehead.

“Come on, let us leave here and head to an inn, and I will explain everything properly to you.” “Sure.” Grey replied as he was about to take a step forward when Dame halted.

His eyes darted around the place in confusion, as if he was searching for something that should have been obvious.

“Any problem?” “Problem?” Dame repeated and then shook his head.

“No, I was just wondering where your sidekick was.

What was his name again?” He mumbled as he stroked his temples, then quickly snapped his fingers.

“Right, Pink.

Where is he?

Did he not come?” “Oh yeah, he did not.” Grey replied as he began walking away.

“Something popped up back home so he is handling it.

Shall we leave now?” He asked while slightly tilting his head.

Hearing this, Dame simply shrugged and then they began walking away, trying to locate the portal that would take them out of this beast world.

So that is what happened.” Grey mumbled as he sat in an inn room on the bed while Dame sat on a chair placed in front of him.

They managed to exit the portal safely and secure a room.

Due to Dame’s connections, getting an inn was not difficult at all.

Now he calmly explained to Grey everything that had happened with him.

From the moment Grey demanded beast cores, which pushed Dame to enter the Behemoth clan’s portal, to the instant he almost summoned the boss, and how that mistake resulted in him being punished to battle Beatrix from the Umbrafell faction.

A situation that could have easily been a death sentence, yet he survived because of Grey’s pills and the magically enhanced weapons.

Now, after the battle, he found out that he was terribly close to breaking through.

‘So indirectly, I saved him?

Wow.’ Grey chuckled inwardly as he rubbed his chin, the realization giving him a tiny surge of pride.

“Honestly, after the battle, not only did my name and feat spread far and wide, your name did too.” Dame added, causing Grey to lift an eyebrow.

“Huh?

How so?” Grey asked.

“The warriors that went with me for the battle helped spread your name and how your pills helped them gain a second wind, and then your weapon helped me overcome Beatrix.” Dame replied.

‘Oh, beautiful.

Now the name of the Supreme Magus has begun to spread slowly.’ Grey thought with an inward chuckle, feeling a pleasant warmth in his chest.

“And it is not even spreading slowly, but rapidly.” Dame interrupted the warrior mage’s thoughts.

“It is spreading so far and wide that not only do the minor clans want you on their side, the big guns of this faction are actively searching for you.” “Wait what?!” Grey was taken aback as he shifted a few inches back in surprise.

His fingers twitched slightly, and his heart gave a small thump.

“Yeah.” Dame muttered.

“The Behemoth clan and the demonic clan, their leaders are searching for you, trying to get their hands on you first.

In fact, my father, the leader of the demonic clan, even called me to ask for you.

He tried to get any information he could about you and of course, I was not of much help because I barely know anything about you.” ‘Oh boy.’ Grey exclaimed inwardly as he rubbed his forehead in deep thought.

‘I wonder, is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Honestly, the clans searching for me would only want one thing, want me to join them, but I do not want to be under anybody.

What will happen if the rejection gets to them?

“Well, that is technically all that has been happening.” Dame heaved a sigh as he rose from the chair and stretched a bit, his joints cracking quietly.

“So, what do you want to do now?

Craft more pills and weapons or…” “Actually, before I craft more pills, I need a favour from you.” Grey said as he rose from the bed, his gaze steady.

“What is it?

If it is in my power, I will surely do it.” Dame declared proudly.

“You have done a lot for me, directly and indirectly, so tell me whatever you want, I will get it for you.” “It is not something much.” Grey replied as he tucked his hands into his pockets.

“I need to know two things.” “Okay?” Dame replied with a raised brow.

“Firstly, the people selling and marketing my pills, who are they?

Are they powerful or influential enough to get my pills to the faction so fast?” Grey asked, and Dame’s brows furrowed slightly.

“Actually, they are an independent mercenary clan.

They do not support any of the three factions.

They are a small but powerful group of seven members, so yes, they are powerful and influential too.” Dame replied honestly.

‘Huh?

A clan of just seven members?

That is weird.’ Grey thought inwardly with a small frown, already starting to analyze the implications.

“And the second?” Dame asked.

Grey sighed softly as he glanced up at the warrior.
