635: Prepare for a takeover!

635: Prepare for a takeover!

Chapter 635 “So, when is the date of attack?” “In two months.” Leo calmly revealed.

“Huh?” “In two months?

Why so soon?” Mada asked with furrowed brows.

“Because,” Sera butted in.

“In two months time is the all faction tournament.” “All faction tournament?” Grey asked with a raised brow.

“Yes.” Leo replied.

“This tournament is where the three factions bring their best students for a competition and the academy that wins goes home with prizes and the title of best academy or faction for the year.” “A title that the Umbrafell faction has been holding onto for two years now.” Sera added with a frown on her face.

“Okay?

So why that day?” Grey asked again.

“Because that day, all leaders from all factions would be forced to be present.

Well, they could send representatives but I am sure our faction leaders will all be there.” Leo replied.

“How sure are you?” Rivock asked with a raised brow.

“Firstly, they wouldn’t want to miss out on an event that would allow them to gloat in front of the other factions, and secondly, this isn’t just some friendly tournament.

It is used to observe each other’s manpower.

From the students chosen for the tournament, we get to know how strong the other factions are.

Hence the reason I am sure they will be there to keenly watch and observe the opponents.” Gunther replied the question.

“And since all the leaders will be gathered there, we could strike them, take them all down including the vice leaders of the clans.” Leo added.

“Okay?

But I see a flaw in this plan.” Grey muttered as he began stroking his chin in deep thought.

“What flaw?” Sera asked with a raised brow.

“Aren’t you all worried that the other factions would take that opportunity to attack us?

I mean if we are focused on fighting, they might use that chance to sneak up on us.” Grey replied.

“That won’t happen.” Leo replied sternly as he twisted his cane on the ground.

“The Umbrafell faction are too righteous for all that.

They won’t resort to stabbing another in the back for what they want.

And the Noxarian faction, I am sure they would prefer to sit back and watch what happens.

They would rather avoid getting their hands dirty, especially if we can take our leaders out ourselves.” “Still, what if they attack?” Mada questioned.

“Then we leave them all up to Grey.” Gunther said with a slight shrug.

“Me?

Leave them to me as how?” Grey asked with a slight glare at the instructor.

“You’re a mage.

Think or find a way to take them all out of the coliseum that day.

Not necessarily to confront or kill them, but just get them out of the way.” Leo replied with a small smile.

‘Fair enough I guess.

I will just have to find a way to create a large teleportation circle in that coliseum that day.

Hpmh!’ Grey thought as he rubbed his temples.

“So we got just two months to prepare huh?

Two months for me to evolve.” Mada mumbled as he clenched his hands in determination.

“Alright then, I think it is time for us to go prepare for a takeover.” Leo declared with a wide grin on his face as he turned around and began walking away, followed by Sera and the direct descendants.

Gunther was about to leave when Grey called him back.

“Any problem?” The instructor asked with a small frown on his face.

“I need your help again.

I need to visit the Noxarian faction again.

We need allies, and I feel like I can help get some people to assist, so help me leave the academy.” Grey silently pleaded, and without much deliberation, Gunther shrugged.

“Let’s go then.

But won’t you call your friend?” Gunther asked.

“No need, I will go alone.

Besides, he needs to stay here to spar with Rivock.” Grey replied, then he watched the instructor shrug again, and without saying anything further, they exited the rooftop.

After a few minutes of walking, the duo found themselves in the academy’s hunting ground.

Not saying anything else, Gunther turned around and began heading back while the Supreme Magus heaved a deep sigh.

Grey took one final glance around and then jumped off the tall cliff.

He was speeding toward the ground at full speed until he snapped his fingers.

The wind howled around him loudly, swirling and lifting him as he smoothly glided in the air.

Maintaining his balance, he flew through the open space for a few more minutes until he finally reached the bottom of the cliff, where he landed with calculated grace.

Silently, Grey navigated through the fog covering his view.

The mist clung to his clothes and hair, making every step feel eerie.

Eventually, he found himself standing in front of a familiar cave.

Walking in, he drew the magic circle, placed a beast core inside it, then ignited it with his mana.

A portal opened up in front of him.

Without hesitation, he stepped through, and a few seconds later, he found himself in another cave.

Crouching down, he began drawing another magic circle, igniting it again with his mana.

A second portal opened up which he stared at carefully.

His pendant glowed for a few seconds and soon enough, a purple robe and a mask materialised in his grip.

He donned the two while letting his crimson hair flow freely in the cool air of the cave.

“It’s been a while.” He mumbled as he swiftly stepped through the portal, his figure disappearing before reappearing in another location entirely.

The moment his feet touched the ground, he smiled at the dark world around him.

The crackling of odd purple flames far in the distance, the faint hum of corrupted Ki, the gloomy sky that never changed.

It all felt strangely familiar.

‘After the tournament, the civilians that escaped spoke about my battle with Mada and then Rivock.

They called me a certain name that I think is actually badass.

My name is Grey, I call myself the Supreme Magus and now, I have been given a new nickname.’ He smirked inwardly, feeling a surge of pride.

“The Crimson Dragon.” He muttered with a wide grin hidden beneath the mask.
