634: Busted 634: Busted Chapter 634 “A coup huh?

How fascinating for kids to be planning that.” Sera muttered with a slight smirk on her face as she stared at them all.

“Shit.” Grey mumbled as his eyes began darting all around the instructors.

His fingers had begun to crackle with lightning, each spark jumping restlessly like it was preparing to defend him whether he wanted it or not.

‘Damn it.

We are busted.

There’s no way we can win if a fight starts right now.

I can probably take care of instructor Sera, but the others would be difficult to handle.

Leo is the vice principal and could easily be a stage 7 or even stage 8 warrior.

Gunther is a monster on his own, a full blown battle maniac, and I can’t even guess what stage he is at.

It would be a tough fight no matter what.

There is no ifs or buts.

We aren’t winning this thing.’ Grey thought as his hands tightened more, lightning crackling around them nonstop.

“Vice principal Leo, instructor Sera, instructor Gunther.” Noelle croaked out trembling as she stared at the trio.

“Look at who wants to perform a coup, and she is shivering just from standing in front of us.” Gunther shook his head as he crossed his arms, glaring at them all.

“I wonder how you would react if the three leaders appeared in front of you instead.” “Uhm… we were just…” “Save your breaths.” Leo immediately cut Rivock off as he stepped forward, his cane clinking on the ground with every step until he was a metre away from the students.

“We aren’t here to restrain you, stop you or beat you for your little stunts.” “Huh?” Mada muttered with a raised brow.

“In fact, we came to propose the same idea to Grey over there.” Leo continued as he pointed his cane toward the Supreme Magus.

“Wait, what the hell?!

Me?!” Grey shouted in confusion and pure disbelief as he stared at the instructors.

“What is going on here?” Rivock asked with furrowed brows while staring at the trio in front of him.

“The same feeling you all have,” Sera began as she stepped forward until she was beside Leo, “is the same feeling we have had recently.

I confronted Leo about why backup was not sent to us on time, and it turns out we both share the same anger towards the leaders.

And Gunther here was beyond furious when he returned from his expedition.

He wanted to confront the principal of the academy, if not for the fact that Orion was absent.” “Huh?” Rivock mumbled as he turned his head toward Gunther at the back.

“Of course, I would not have reacted if this was the only incident,” Leo said with a frown.

“This kind of thing has happened before.

The leaders prioritised their territories over the safety of the people, and back then I didn’t have the power to say anything.

I still do not have much power now, but I can feel a change coming.” “For kids like you to feel this way and even think of rebelling, it is proof that things have gotten out of hand.” Gunther added as he shut the roof door and walked forward.

The atmosphere became slightly heavier, not from hostility, but from the weight of what he had just admitted.

“So what?

You want to help us?” Grey asked with a raised brow.

“We want to make this a success for you all.” Leo answered with a small smile.

“And that includes all our support.” “Vice principal Leo, are you sure about this?” Noelle asked with a stern frown.

“Are you sure you want to betray my mum?

You are the vice clan leader of our clan after all.” “Wait, what?!” Grey shouted in shock as he looked between Noelle and Leo.

‘Leo is the vice leader of the Aetherborn clan?

Damn.’ “If I wasn’t sure,” Leo replied calmly, “you four would be in the cellar right now for rebellious thoughts and activities.

So yes, I am very sure I want to do this.” “Fair enough.” Rivock nodded along with a sigh.

“And we are sure that with your help,” Gunther began as he pointed toward Grey with a smile on his face, “this would be a success.” “Wait, why are you all suddenly relying on me?!” Grey asked, completely confused.

“One reason,” Leo said as a wide smile spread across his face.

“You are a mage, just like the founder of the Aetherian academy.” “And based on what we have seen and heard, you are getting stronger at a ridiculous pace,” Gunther added.

“You not only have magic, you can use Ki, you mastered the Cromwell technique faster than most, you have martial arts, you know how to combine Ki and mana into a destructive force, and you somehow managed to subconsciously learn how to steal Ki energy from others.

That last technique is straight from the Noxarian faction.” “Wait, what?!

So that technique is from the Noxarian faction?!” Grey asked in genuine shock as he stared down at his hands, almost expecting to see Ki swirling around his fingers.

“Yep.

Which means that all the times you got me to sneak you out of the academy, you were always going to that faction.” Gunther replied, still smiling like it amused him.

“And if you keep going there, keep training and keep pushing your limits, we actually have a shot at winning this coup.” Sera added with a soft smile of her own.

“And of course, the rest of us won’t be sitting around doing nothing.

We all have roles to play, otherwise this won’t work.” Leo said as he lifted his cane and pointed it toward the direct descendants.

“You all need to train and evolve before the time of the attack.

Noelle, I will train you personally and get you to stage 5, then teach you the clan’s techniques.

Mada, Gunther will take you under his wing and make sure you also reach stage 5 and master your clan’s techniques.” “And Rivock?” Sera asked with one brow raised.

“Don’t worry about me,” Rivock replied with a soft smile as he turned toward the warrior mage.

“Grey, can you help me speak with your ally?

The stony being that helped during the battle.

I need him as my sparring partner to help boost my strength and sharpen my skills.” ‘Oh, right.

Thalos has evolved too.

With his strength, we can pull this off, and that annoying phoenix still owes me a favour.

Hpmh, this could actually work.’ Grey smirked at the thought.

“Sure thing.” He answered Rivock’s request before turning back to the three elite instructors.

“So, when is the date of attack?” “In two months.” Leo revealed calmly.
