633: The Talk (2) 633: The Talk (2) CHAPTER 633 “Wait, what?!” Grey shouted, taken aback from pure shock as he stared at the three in front of him.

“Hold on, hold on, hold on!” He said as he waved his hands in front of his face a few times while shaking his head as if trying to digest all he had just been told.

“You want to pledge your loyalty to me?

For real?!

Hahaha!” Grey suddenly burst into laughter as he began holding his stomach in pure glee, to the extent a tear fell from his eyes as the direct descendants stared at him in confusion.

“Any problem?” Rivock asked with a small frown on his face as he stared at the warrior mage.

“Any problem?” Grey repeated the question as he finally calmed himself, then crouched down to glare at the trio.

“You all want to work for me?

Isn’t that crazy?” “Wrong.” Mada chimed in with a deep frown on his face as he shot up from the ground in a flash.

“We don’t want to work for you, we want to work with you.

We don’t want to be your slaves or followers but partners.” “Still the same thing dumbass.” Grey clapped back as he stood upright too.

“You all will still be answering to me, to my orders.

And wait, what’s all this about a coup?

What’s going on?” “Grey,” Rivock muttered as he stood up along with Noelle.

“Honestly, I didn’t want to approach you about this at all.

But then I remembered a promise you yelled out in the canteen one time when Mada was whooping you around.” “You promised to take over the Aetherian faction and be its ruler, and Mada challenged you to defeat him first.

Which you did at the tournament.

Not only did you defeat him, you defeated a lower echelon demon.” “You have surpassed your limits in just the few months you spent at this academy.

I still feel that there’s more untapped power hidden in you.

You always seem to grow stronger almost everyday and now I know the reason.” ‘Huh?’ Grey frowned inwardly.

“It is because you are not of this world.

It takes years for Yun warriors like us to grow stronger and evolve.

At the age of eighteen, I became a stage 6 warrior and it is the reason why I am called a monster, but I bet you that the people we want to take down are bigger monsters than us.” Rivock continued with a weary sigh.

“Yes.

I want to take down those at the top, even though one of them is my dad.

Hence we need the help of an even bigger monster.

I cannot do it alone otherwise I would die.

But with your help, your rate of growing stronger almost everyday, we feel that this would be possible.” “So will you help us?” Noelle asked with a raised brow as the wind brushed across the rooftop, her long hair swaying lightly as if waiting for his decision.

A moment of silence first blessed the rooftop as Grey paused, staring at the trio for any hint of jokes but he couldn’t see any.

Their expressions were steady, determined and unshaken, as though they had spent the entire week thinking about this before coming to him.

“You all are crazy.” Grey finally sighed with his hands still tucked in his pants’ pockets.

“You do realise that in order for us to take them down, we would need to kill them, right?

I mean kill your parents.” The weight of those words settled heavily in the air, pressing down on all four of them as the rooftop suddenly felt colder than usual.

The trio didn’t reply for a second as they all clenched their hands tightly, teeth grinding back and forth for a few seconds until Rivock sighed and then lifted his head up to stare at the warrior mage with a twisted smirk on his face.

“So be it then.

Not like they valued our lives from the onset.

So why should we value theirs?

This is war and I would love to be on the winning side.” “How sure are you that my side is the winning side?” Grey asked with furrowed brows as he stared at them some more.

‘Yes, I planned to take over this faction but I also knew it won’t be easy.

I needed to grow stronger, I need to be as strong as a stage 9 warrior before I think of doing that.

I need allies hence I wanted to travel to the Noxarian faction, but now, the descendants are in front of me?

This is crazy.’ Grey thought as he stared at them all.

“A hunch.” Noelle answered the question as she frowned at Grey, her voice calm but certain.

“Huh?

A hunch?

Meaning?” Grey demanded with a raised brow.

“It’s just a hunch that your side is the winning one.

If we could take your mystical magical abilities, combine it with your Ki, along with us and a few allies, we can successfully take over this faction.” Mada replied with a serious tone.

“Should I remind you all that we won’t just be facing your parents, but we would be facing the vice clan leaders, and most of the elite clan members.

Do you think they would accept a bunch of kids as their leaders?

Oh, and you also have siblings too.” Grey chimed in.

“I don’t have siblings.” Noelle butted in instantly without hesitation.

“I’m sure Gunther might not care much.” Mada added with a shrug.

“My siblings…” Rivock trailed off for a moment and a smile crossed his face.

“They shouldn’t be too hard to take care of though.” “Tch!” Grey scoffed as he shook his head and then looked into the sky before sighing.

“This is crazy mehn.

There’s no way we can all grow strong enough overnight, nor is there a way to win this for now.

I need more time to think about all these because we can’t win this just based on your hunches.” “They might have hunches, but I’m sure we can win this.” A calm voice suddenly interrupted them, cutting through the tension and forcing all of them to quickly spin around in fright.

Standing in front of the door were Leo, the vice principal of the academy, Sera and Gunther.

All three stood still, their arms folded or hanging loosely, eyes narrowed as they examined the four students like they were misbehaving children caught red-handed.

Every heartbeat felt loud as silence slowly wrapped around the rooftop.

‘Shit.

We are busted so soon?

Damn it.

How long have they been standing here?’ Mada panicked inwardly, his throat tightening as he stared at the elites of the academy glaring at them intently.

‘Fuck.

This is bad.’ Rivock sighed inwardly as his stomach dropped.

“A coup huh?

How fascinating for kids to be planning that.” Sera muttered with a slight smirk on her face, her eyes glinting with amusement as if she had just stumbled upon a drama she couldn’t wait to watch unfold.

And the worst part was that none of them had any idea whether she was angry, impressed or ready to beat all of them into the ground.
