Magus Supremacy - Chapter 626
626: Get down on your fucking knees!
626: Get down on your fucking knees!
Chapter 626 BAM!
The demon appeared in front of him in a flash with a right hook streaking for the Supreme Magus’ head at full speed.
Seeing this, Grey had no choice than to quickly swirl Ki around his feet while lightning still crackled around them and then in a flash, he bolted to the side, avoiding the punch by the sheer skin of his teeth as the hit struck the air with a loud bang that echoed across the battlefield like a war drum.
“Aerius Ultra!” He called out loudly as he swung his fist forward and a humongous burst of wind erupted out, slamming into the demon with immense force and sending it skidding backwards, its feet carving trenches in the ground as it skid back.
Dust rose in waves behind it as the monster dragged across the earth.
‘The head huh?
I need a powerful strike and an opening so I can hit it.’ Grey thought inwardly as lightning crackled louder around him.
With a thunderclap-like sound, he exploded forward like a pure living arrow streaking towards the demon.
In the twinkle of an eye, he appeared in front of it again, this time pushing his physical limits more than before.
‘Go for the head!’ he roared inwardly as his lightning gauntlets glowed brighter.
Then with all his might, he swung his fist towards the demon at full speed, putting everything he had left into that strike.
“Even though you know about my weakness, there’s no way I will sit back and let you strike me there again!” Gil roared as more red strings burst from its back, shooting towards Grey like dozens of venomous serpents.
‘I can’t let those strings touch me otherwise I would be paralyzed like Rivock.’ he thought in panic as he quickly withdrew his punch at the last possible moment.
He swung his already mangled hand forward, blocking the strings because he knew he wasn’t fast enough to dodge them this time.
The strings struck his arm with lethal force, pushing him back as he grit his teeth.
The pain coursing through him was immense, sharp enough to make spots form in his vision.
He kept being pushed back and he was starting to lose the feeling of the arm.
The numbness spread rapidly to the other parts of his body and hence he had to make a choice before everything shut down.
“Now that you’re immobile, time to die!” Gil roared as his wings flapped wildly.
With a loud bang, he shot forth at full speed while the Supreme Magus gritted his teeth, lightning crackling around his right hand as a sword swiftly formed in his grasp.
The air around him buzzed violently as the blade solidified, releasing sparks that illuminated his blood-soaked face.
“ARGHHHH!” Grey shouted into the air as he lifted the lightning sword up, causing everybody to stare in shock.
The atmosphere froze for a heartbeat as the energy of his decision hit everyone watching, even those fighting in the distance.
‘Don’t tell me he is going to do it,’ Ray thought as his heart pounded loudly against his chest.
His palms were sweating as he stared helplessly at Grey.
‘Is… is he about to do what I think he is doing?’ Finral thought as his mouth went dry.
The fear of witnessing it again weighed heavily on him.
And then… Bam!
The sword struck Grey’s already mangled arm that had the strings stuck in it and with little to no resistance, he sliced the whole thing off, leaving himself with a single hand.
The stump spewed out blood in waves but he did not mind.
The demon had already appeared right in front of him, and there was no time to think about pain.
“Look at you, so-called Supreme Magus.
So battered, bleeding and with a single hand!” Gil roared with a smirk as he swung his fist with full force.
It rammed into Grey’s abdomen with the force of a speeding train before he could even react, the impact sending a shock through the entire ground as if the world itself felt the strike.
Blood and saliva sprayed from his mouth as the ground beneath his feet caved into another crater.
But he refused to go flying as he swirled and compressed all his Ki to his feet, directing everything there and putting pressure on his body, tanking the hit like a true warrior should.
His legs trembled slightly from the recoil, yet he stayed rooted to the earth with sheer will.
“Over the months I have stayed in this world, I have had quite a few teachers that taught me their styles, their techniques and aided me one way or another.” Grey began, his voice strained yet firm even as the demon did not relent.
Gil swung his fist continuously at the human, bashing him right in the jaw and knocking out a tooth.
The next blow slammed into Grey’s neck, another dug straight into his abdomen and the demon kept going without stopping, like a machine built purely for destruction.
“They trusted me, teaching me all they could.
I am also sure I got teachers back in my own world that taught me all they knew.
And you ask me why I fight?” Grey asked as another punch slammed into his abdomen with crushing force, sending him skidding metres away in pain as blood spewed from his mouth and splattered across the ground.
This did not make the demon stop as the ground cracked beneath its feet and it shot forward at full speed, appearing right in front of Grey with a powerful uppercut that made the air tremble.
The pressure of the swing alone made Grey’s hair sway backward.
“I fight because I don’t want to fail those teachers that taught me all they knew.
The teachers that imbued their trust in me, they imbued their hope in me as the next big thing.
I fight to not fucking let them down!” Grey roared as he caught the punch right in his palm, his fingers shaking violently but still holding on with savage determination.
The force of the collision blew a huge gust of wind outward as Grey glared at the demon.
No matter how hard Gil tried to move, its hand refused to budge while the human stared at it with blood covering his face.
His other hand was gone and the stump still bled, yet none of that mattered at that moment.
“Well, good luck defeating me and not letting them down with a single hand!” The demon roared as it swung its leg towards Grey’s abdomen at full speed, and it connected with a loud bang in the next second.
The flesh tore and a hole burst open in Grey’s abdomen, spewing blood as the ground shattered beneath his feet again.
Yet he still stood his ground, refusing to fall or fly back, his teeth grinding loudly as he glared at the demon with pure fury.
“Who says I need two hands to beat the shit out of you?!” Grey asked with a slight smirk as he stared at the demon, his eyes burning with a wild confidence that unsettled Gil.
“Who needs two hands when he has me?!” A loud voice was heard and the demon quickly glanced up to see Thalos, without any hands, directly in the air above him.
‘Shit!
Not him again!’ Gil thought in panic as he tried to move away but to no avail because Grey was gripping tightly, lightning crackling around that one hand and locking the demon in place like a living anchor.
“Go down on your fucking knees!” Thalos roared as he swung his leg in a powerful roundhouse kick while the demon’s wings twitched and shot in front of it in an attempt to block the kick.
