624: A Guide!

624: A Guide!

Chapter 624 “Prove me wrong then.” The demon coldly replied as Rivock struggled to move, immobilized by the blood-red strings.

Grey, however, did not dash forward like a typical warrior.

Instead, he calmly walked toward the demon, step after deliberate step, his sword pointed downward with absolute control and focus.

“Dance of the Thunder God: Second Formation.” He muttered softly, his voice steady as sparks of lightning began crackling around his eyes.

His right leg shifted slightly behind his body, preparing for the perfect strike.

The air around him seemed to hum with energy.

Continuous bangs of shockwaves erupted into the surrounding air as steam with sparks of lightning hissed from Grey’s nostrils.

He set his gaze firmly on the demon, every muscle in his body coiled like a spring, ready to explode.

“Flash Step and Slash.” He called out, his tone calm but decisive, and then… BANG!

RIIIING!

Grey vanished from view in an instant, leaving only the sound of a thunderous bang and a piercing ringing echoing through the air.

In the next moment, he appeared directly in front of the demon, his presence sudden and precise.

“Ha!

So predictable.” The demon mocked, extending its palms as dozens of red strings shot out toward Grey’s face.

“Am I?” Grey replied coolly, and just like before, he vanished from view once more, reappearing directly beside the demon.

Without wasting a second, he swung his sword upward from below with all his might.

Lightning erupted from the blade, striking with tremendous speed and force.

The demon had no time to react.

It could only lift its wings and hands to protect its face, but the attack was already upon it.

Crack, Bang, BOOOM!

The slash landed with devastating impact.

Sparks flew as it cleanly sliced through the demon’s wings and followed with a precise strike that severed its hands, dropping them to the ground with wet thuds.

Grey was poised to follow up with another attack when more strings burst violently from the demon’s back, shooting directly toward his face.

Lightning crackled across Grey’s eyes, but he did not falter.

He darted across the coliseum with blistering speed, appearing and disappearing in multiple locations in an instant.

Each clash of string against air, wall, or ground produced concussive bangs that shook the arena.

‘Two minutes and a few seconds left before I lose my energy.

I need more time, this won’t be enough,’ Grey thought grimly as he ducked another swing aimed at his head.

Ki swirled and compressed at the soles of his feet.

He pressed down with all his might and exploded forward like a rocket, covering three metres in the blink of an eye.

Grey appeared directly in front of the demon, inches away from the coiling strings.

He smirked as wind magic swirled around his body, propelling him into the air just as the strings slammed into the demon, sending it skidding backward.

Trenches formed beneath its hooved feet with every skid.

“Take that!” Grey roared, swinging his sword down from the air with all his might.

A huge wind slash erupted from the blade, speeding toward the demon at full force.

In a split second, new wings sprouted from its back, curving to deflect the attack just enough to absorb the impact, cracking slightly under the force.

“MORE!” Grey shouted, preparing to dash down for another strike, when he suddenly felt something coiling around his feet.

He glanced down but could not see it, only feel it.

Within moments, he was yanked from the air and slammed violently into the ground, a deep crater forming beneath him.

Blood spurted from his mouth as he coughed violently.

‘Da…Damn it!

I need to help, but how?

My body… it feels like my energy is being drained rapidly while I’m still connected to these strings,’ Rivock thought grimly, blood trickling from his nose.

‘I need to free Rivock.’ Grey gritted his teeth, hyping himself as he pushed off the ground.

He was about to dash toward the direct descendant when suddenly, his foot was grabbed by a fleshy, unyielding grip, pulling him backward with immense force.

Looking down, Grey saw the demon gripping his leg, and within the blink of an eye, he was facing the sun.

In a split second, his face was slammed into the ground with the force of a speeding train.

The impact caused a tooth to fly out as blood sprayed from his mouth and nose, covering parts of his face in a crimson sheen.

The ground groaned under the immense pressure of the slam, cracking slightly beneath him.

Grey’s eyes rolled back as consciousness slipped away, and the Supreme Magus fell limp, his body resting against the unforgiving earth.

“GREY!” Ray shouted in alarm, his heart thundering painfully in his chest.

The demon had spun the human onto his back, grabbing his neck and lifting him high into the air for everyone to see.

Grey’s hand hung limply at his side, lightning crackling and sputtering before fading, sparks dying out as blood continued to drip down from his head, pooling over half his face.

Thalos groaned, straining to his feet, trembling as he tried to help.

“Look at him, so pitiful, weak, and useless.

All he can do is make tall, stupid claims but can’t even fulfill them.” The demon spat angrily, its gaze fixed on Grey’s unconscious form.

In the depths of his mind, Grey heard a voice calling softly.

“Grey, Grey, Grey.” He tried to focus, but all he could see was a thick, suffocating blackness that made it difficult to breathe.

“Grey, I don’t have much energy or time, but I need to tell you…” The voice called again.

Grey strained to pinpoint its source, feeling it deep in his subconscious.

“I know I bicker and give you a hard time, but I’ve been watching.

I’ve seen your struggles, and I’ve seen how you overcome them with everything you’ve accomplished.

I’m proud of you, and I feel happy that I didn’t attach myself to a weakling.

I made the right choice.

That’s why I want to tell you this,” the voice continued, calm but commanding.

“Stop fucking fighting them!” it suddenly roared in his head, the energy of its voice shaking his very mind.

“Stop resisting and let them work in harmony!

You have two energies, yet you’re using them separately.

Stupid, dumbass, moron!

Find a way to make them co-exist.

Stop being a dipshit!

You are the Supreme Magus-a mage who finds a way where there seems to be none.

Find that way now and defeat this weakling, you fool!

Right here, right now, surpass your damn limit and show this creature who the real boss is.

Now wake the FUCK UP GREY!!!” In an instant, Grey’s eyes snapped open.

The demon’s jaws were closing in on his head.

“Not today.” he muttered calmly.

Crackle, Crackle, BOOOM!

Lightning and wind erupted with immense force, striking the demon’s face and sending it skidding backward in agony.

Its jaw shattered under the impact as Grey landed on his knees, huffing and panting from the strain.

‘That voice… It sounds familiar.

Where have I heard it before?

Who was that?

ARGH!

My memories!’ he roared internally, frustration coursing through him as he glanced at the demon glaring fiercely at him.

‘Stop resisting, make them co-exist, merge them… surpass your limits.’ “ARGHHHH!

Why don’t you just DIE?!” the demon roared in absolute rage as the blood-red strings coiled around its feet.

With a violent push, it exploded toward Grey, moving at nearly the speed of light.
