613: Chapter 613 613: Chapter 613 Chapter 613 “Fuck!

GREY!” Liam shouted in horror as everybody turned around to see the Supreme Magus appear directly in front of Mada and then get impaled in the stomach by the claws, blood spilling from his mouth in heavy streams.

“Huh?” The demon mumbled in confusion as it stepped back, letting its claws slide out of the human’s abdomen.

This caused Grey to drop to his knees with a small thud, his body trembling from the sheer pain ripping through him.

Mada stood behind him in utter confusion and shock as he stared at the Supreme Magus’ weakened frame, his mind blank and heart hammering in disbelief.

The lightning boots, gauntlets, and both elemental swords could now be seen fading from view, vanishing like smoke in the wind.

“KUK!” Grey coughed out a mouthful of blood that splattered on the ground.

The hole in his stomach was bleeding uncontrollably, forming a thick pool of blood beneath him as his breathing turned shallow and ragged.

His vision flickered slightly, but he forced himself to stay conscious.

“G…G…Grey?” Mada mumbled in absolute confusion as he stared at the warrior mage who was now barely holding himself up.

Even Rivock was struck completely silent, his mind frozen as he tried to absorb what had just happened.

His tensed-up body loosened, not from calm but from pure shock, as he kept staring at the Supreme Magus coughing up blood again and again.

“Wh…Wh…Why?!” Mada asked with trembling lips, staring at Grey’s hunched and bleeding body.

“GREY!” Thalos shouted as he darted from where he stood and appeared beside the warrior mage in the blink of an eye.

“Wh…why did you take the damn hit, you idiot?!” “KUK!” Grey coughed more blood as his breathing became heavier while he stared at his reflection in the dark pool of blood below him.

The sight of his own blood barely fazed him anymore, but the pain was unbearable.

“I thought you promised to kill all three of the direct descendants?

Why the hell did you take the hit that the demon was about to land?!” Thalos barked angrily, clenching his rocky fists so tightly that tiny cracks ran across his stony skin.

“Why did you take the hit for me, Grey?” Mada asked softly, staring at the back of the wounded mage.

His voice shook as his heart tightened.

“I thought we were enemies.

I thought we were ready to kill each other.

So why?

Why did you take the damn hit for me?!” he roared at the end, his voice cracking.

“Because of your brother,” Grey weakly replied, still staring into his blood’s reflection.

“Even though he acts all tough, I’m sure he’d be distraught if you died.

Gunther has done a lot for me… he’s helped me in ways I can’t even count.

And even though I hate you and your friends with all my heart, I couldn’t stand by and watch someone who cared for me lose his brother.

That’s why I took the damn hit.” “Tsk, tsk, tsk.” Gil scoffed as he licked his claws with dark amusement, his grin widening as Sera huffed and panted heavily in exhaustion nearby.

‘Damn it!

The one person who could actually do something against this bastard has just been hit so badly.

Can we even win this now?’ Sera thought bitterly as she looked down at her trembling hands, realizing just how powerless she was.

“You just couldn’t wait your turn, huh?” Gil sneered.

“I wanted to play with you a bit more before killing you, and yet you went ahead to jump the line?

Tch, how rude.” He smirked, his eyes locked on the Supreme Magus’ frail body.

‘Grey…’ Rivock thought inwardly, his chest tightening.

‘You’re mistaken.

It wasn’t only Gunther who would’ve been broken if Mada died.

I would’ve been too.

Despite your hatred toward us, you still protected my dear friend.

ARGH!

I’m so damn useless!’ he roared inside his mind as he clenched his fists until his nails dug into his palms, drawing blood that dripped to the ground unnoticed.

“So what now?” Thalos asked as he watched the Supreme Magus huffing in pain.

“Are you just going to bleed to death?” Grey simply smiled weakly, shaking his head as he slowly stretched out his hand for Thalos to grab.

His fingers trembled slightly, blood still dripping from his palm.

“I’m not dying here or now,” he muttered with quiet resolve.

“I have a plan… but I need you to keep the demon busy until I can join the fight again.” “You sure about that?” Thalos asked, his deep eyes fixed on Grey.

The Supreme Magus gave a weak but confident nod, the corner of his mouth twitching upward in a faint smile.

“Fine then.” The gargoyle sighed heavily before turning toward Mada, his expression hardening into a glare.

“He did his part by protecting your weak arse even though you were both enemies.

So now, you’ll do your part-take him a few metres away, help him stabilize his wound, and make sure he doesn’t die.

And if anything happens to him…” Thalos’ tone grew darker, his aura spilling out in thick waves that pressed against every living being in the coliseum, suffocating them in its overwhelming weight.

“It won’t just be the demon’s head rolling, it’ll be yours too.” ‘Wh…what is this?!

Wh…where did Grey find someone like this?’ Finral thought as his body trembled slightly from the aura’s pressure.

‘Wait!

Where the hell is Pink?’ His gaze darted around the coliseum, trying to spot the mysterious blue band who had kept Rivock on his toes during the earlier tournament.

‘That aura and that sword style…’ Rivock thought as his eyes narrowed slightly while staring at Thalos.

‘So it’s you, Pink.

I knew it.

You were never just a blue band.

You’ve always felt like something far more dangerous and it seems I was right.’ Mada didn’t respond to the threat.

He simply crouched down beside Grey, carefully sliding his arm around the wounded mage.

Sera rushed forward to assist, despite knowing deep down that she wouldn’t be able to do much in a battle of this scale.

‘Screw you, Sera!’ she cursed herself inwardly as she and Mada moved Grey to safety.

‘And to think I wanted Gunther to notice me.

I can’t even help in a fight against a lower echelon demon.

What a shame!’ “And you…” Thalos mumbled darkly as he turned toward the demon, his greatsword gleaming brightly under the sunlight that filtered through the arena’s ruined walls.

A wide, menacing grin spread across his rocky face.

“I was the only one who had the right to torture and beat the hell out of Grey.

So how dare you hurt him instead of me?!

How dare you try to take that right away from me?!” he thundered as the ground beneath him cracked and trembled violently.

“That doesn’t scare me!” Gil roared back, his voice echoing like a monstrous growl.

In a blur, both figures kicked off the ground simultaneously, trails of dust exploding behind them as the coliseum shook from the sheer force of their charge.
