Chapter 612 BANG!
BANG!
Two consecutive bangs filled the air as the demon’s hooved foot shot toward Grey while he struggled to block the strings.
But before it could connect, a certain gargoyle suddenly exploded from where he stood with a loud bang.
In a burst of speed, he appeared in the air.
His greatsword streaked through the sky and clashed with the demon’s hooved foot, producing another resounding bang that blasted a huge gust of wind outward.
The force rattled debris and pushed everyone a few steps back.
No equal could be seen as the duo froze in place, foot on greatsword, glaring at each other like they had been enemies since the dawn of time.
TCHWK!
Grey finally sliced the strings and spun around, landing beside Thalos while still airborne.
“Wait!” Grey mumbled with a frown as Thalos pushed the hooved foot away from his sword, causing the demon to flip several times before landing a few metres away.
“How the hell are you able to stand in the air?” Grey asked, eyes wide with disbelief.
“I have my ways,” Thalos replied, keeping his eyes locked on the demon.
‘I’m currently using my wind magic to aid my flight in the air.
With my Ki totally depleted, I was forced to create a pair of lightning boots and a pair of lightning gauntlets for my hands to aid my speed.
Because of these two constructs, I am able to move fast enough to match the demon’s speed.
Who even knew one could create constructs using magic?
But still,’ Grey thought as he stared at his hands gripping the elemental swords.
‘How long will this last?
Especially knowing that this bastard can regenerate and regrow its limbs!
Damn it!’ “You!” the demon called out, glaring at the gargoyle with a deep frown.
“Ever since you began fighting, my eyes have been on you, and I have sworn I would take you down as the biggest threat here.” “Wait!
How disrespectful!” Grey shouted in annoyance, looking up at the demon.
“I’m right here, and you’re calling someone else ‘The biggest threat’?
What now happens to ME?” He thundered, kicking the air and rocketing toward the demon in a blur of lightning speed.
“You are so predictable,” the demon mumbled as Grey appeared directly in front of it, thrusting his wind sword forward.
But Gil was fast, matching Grey’s speed, thrusting its claws toward the sword.
The Supreme Magus grinned widely.
A loud bang echoed as Grey suddenly pivoted mid-swing, letting the demon’s claws strike the air with a resounding impact.
That was when Thalos appeared in front of it, his greatsword streaking through the air, slamming into Gil’s outstretched hand with thunderous force.
“Ack!” The demon roared in pain as the greatsword easily sliced through its arm, blood spurting everywhere.
“Here!
The others need to hit too!” Grey thundered as he blitzed in front of the demon in a flash.
Jerking his hands back, he let lightning crackle fiercely around his gauntlets.
With a deafening bang, he swung forward, smashing into the demon’s abdomen with immense force.
A booming shockwave echoed outward, hurling the demon out of the air.
In a split second, it collided with the ground in a loud crash.
A massive shockwave blasted outward, hitting everyone so hard their bodies shook, including Rivock, who was suddenly snapped out of his daze.
Through the settling dust, he caught sight of a strange stony creature hovering in the air alongside Grey.
“Huh?” Rivock muttered as he staggered to his feet, startling Noelle who had been absorbed in the battle.
“What is going on?” “What is going on?” Noelle repeated, turning back to the dissipating cloud of dust.
As it cleared, the demon could be seen, blood dripping from its lips, a single hand pressed against its body, glaring fiercely at Grey and Thalos.
“Grey and his stony friend are really kicking the demon’s arse!” she exclaimed excitedly, but her excitement didn’t last long as the demon’s hand regenerated quickly again.
“Well, we aren’t done with you!” Thalos thundered, kicking the air and nosediving toward the demon with immense speed, his greatsword gleaming behind him like a streak of pure metal.
“Go away!” the demon roared in anger, slamming its hooved foot into the ground with all its might.
The impact cracked the earth and sent a massive slab of rock flying.
With all his strength, Thalos kicked off the air, then slammed his sword into the slab, tearing through it with incredible force.
But before he could follow up, the demon appeared in front of him in a flash, eyes blazing with fury.
“Begone,” Gil coldly said, swinging its claws forward.
In an instant, they connected with Thalos’ abdomen with immense force, lifting the gargoyle off his feet and hurling him across the arena.
“No, you begone,” Grey coolly said as he appeared in front of the demon, swinging his wind sword from below with all his might.
The demon pivoted on one foot to avoid the sword just in time.
A wind slash burst out from the blade, slamming into the ground and gouging a deep line in the stone floor.
‘Shit!
Regenerating twice is making me weaker.
I need fuel,’ the demon thought, frowning as it scanned the coliseum.
‘But first, I need to get this brat away from me!’ “Grey, look out!” Sera shouted, swirling Ki around her feet.
She performed the flash step, darting in front of the Supreme Magus just as the demon prepared to impale him with its claws.
She swung her Ki-coated sword forward, clashing with the claw with a loud bang.
A gust of wind erupted as she skidded back, struggling to maintain her footing.
“Get away from me, weakling!” Gil sneered, swinging its foot toward the instructor.
But someone else intervened.
A sword appeared in the demon’s path, blocking the kick.
The strike came at a cost-the sword snapped in two, stunning Mada as pain coursed through his arms and blood dripped from his mouth.
“You all just refuse to learn!” the demon growled angrily, darting forward like a blur and appearing directly in front of the direct descendant in an instant.
“Shit!” Mada cursed, swinging the broken sword forward, attempting to jam it into the demon.
But it pivoted, avoiding the strike, before reappearing directly in front of him.
“NO!
Mada!” Rivock shouted, stretching his hand out, blood still trickling down his mouth.
He prepared to intervene and save his friend from the demon’s claws.
BANG!
The sound rang out loud and sharp as a gust of wind struck the stunned and immobile Mada in the face.
TCHWK!
A horrific slicing sound filled the air as the demon’s claws cut through flesh.
“Fuck!
GREY!” Liam shouted in horror.
Everyone’s heads turned just in time to see the Supreme Magus appear directly in front of Mada-only to be impaled in the stomach by the demon’s claws, blood spilling freely from his mouth as he struggled to maintain his composure.
