Aelion initially saw Arkanos as a power-hungry mortal and refused, but his perspective shifted when he witnessed Arkanos single-handedly save a village from a demonic incursion—not for glory, but to protect the innocent.

Aelion began to believe Arkanos was no mere man, but a beacon sent by Luminous to guide him through his darkest hour.

Convinced that Arkanos’s ambition was a divine mission, Aelion pledged his loyalty, vowing to serve the emperor as the light that illuminates the empire’s path—his faith now anchored in the man he believes is his god’s chosen avatar.
