Chapter 370: God Of Death And Necromancy
With one last, steadying breath, Sunny placed his hand on the vibrating surface of the gemstone.
There was no sound, only a sudden, violent inversion of gravity. The world of the Star Nation, the ship, and the darkness of the room didn’t just fade; they were violently ripped away, replaced by a sensation of being pulled through the eye of a needle.

[Unknown Realm – Domain of the Dead.]
WHOOSH!!
Space tore open like a festering wound high above a desolate landscape. Sunny was ejected from the rift, plummeting freely into the abyss.
”What the—?!!”
Sunny gasped, the air rushing past him tasting of copper and ash. He was falling from thousands of miles up, the ground below a sprawling mosaic of white and gray.
”You must be kidding me!”
Instinct took over. He flexed his back, and six massive wings of dark energy exploded outward. He caught the air, the sudden drag nearly snapping his spine, but he managed to arrest his fall with a single, thunderous flap.
”Where the hell am I?”
He hovered, scanning the horizon. The sky was a bruised, blood-red expanse, devoid of sun or stars. Below him, the ground wasn’t made of dirt or stone. Thanks to his enhanced vision, he realized with a jolt of horror that the “white plains” were actually bones. Millions upon millions of human bones, layered deep, interspersed with rusted siege weapons and broken armor from eras long forgotten.
He dove, cutting through the stagnant air at maximum speed, and landed lightly on a ridge formed by a pile of ribcages.
”Did a battle happen here? Or is this the graveyard of a world?”
He muttered to himself, kicking a rusted helm that crumbled into dust. The silence was absolute. There was no wind, no insects, no sign of life—only the oppressive scent of ancient blood and decay.
”System… Scan the area.”
Silence.
Sunny frowned. “System?”
Nothing. The familiar blue screen, the robotic voice, the constant companion in his head—it was gone.
”Are you kidding me?!! Why didn’t you warn me that you’ll shut down in here?!!” He snapped, his voice swallowed by the vast emptiness. Panic clawed at his chest. For the first time, he was truly alone.
”Don’t worry about that ‘System’ of yours… No matter what, that Old Man cannot reach this domain. So naturally, his little toy won’t work here.”
Sunny spun around, his weapon materializing in his grip.
Standing ten meters away was a figure shrouded in absolute darkness. It was humanoid, but its features were obscured by a roiling mist of void energy. Only two burning red orbs shone from where a face should be.
Sunny choked. The pressure emanating from the stranger wasn’t just spirit energy; it was Primordial energy. It felt heavy, suffocating, like standing at the bottom of an ocean. He instinctively leaped backward, creating distance.
”What the hell?! With such dense energy, he must be stronger than a Tenth Order powerhouse,” Sunny muttered, his heart hammering against his ribs.
’And what does he mean by ‘Old Man’? Does he know the System’s creator?’
The Stranger raised his head slightly.
Suddenly, the ground beneath Sunny exploded. Skeletal hands shot up from the mound of bones, gripping his ankles with the force of hydraulic clamps.
”This?!”
Sunny looked down in shock. He tried to kick them away, but he froze. His spirit energy was vanishing, siphoned out of his body at a terrifying rate.
”You stupid things!!!”
He roared, unleashing a burst of his spirit energy outward to shatter them.
CRACK? No.
To his shock, the skeletons’ grip didn’t even loosen. The bones didn’t crack. They absorbed his attack like it was nothing.
”You are truly naive,” the Stranger said, his voice echoing from everywhere at once. “I am a God. Do you think your meager Seventh Order strength is anything special here? Even a Transcendent will bow at my feet.”
’Transcendent? What rank is that? Is it above God rank?’ Sunny’s mind raced as his knees began to buckle:
‘Shit!! If I don’t escape this, I will lose all my spirit energy and die a dry husk.’
”Your thoughts are so loud.”
The figure drifted forward, stopping ten meters from Sunny. The darkness shrouding his face slowly evaporated, revealing his true form. He had long, flowing black hair, piercing red eyes, and a face of such terrifying, cold perfection that it stunned Sunny into silence.
”Who are you?!” Sunny asked, forcing the words out. He realized fighting was impossible; he had to change strategy.
”You can call me the God of Death and Necromancy,” the deity answered, his gaze boring into Sunny’s soul.
With a casual thought from the God, the skeletons released Sunny and crumbled back into the pile. Instantly, a rush of cold energy flooded back into Sunny, restoring him to peak condition.
The God of Death turned his back on Sunny and began to walk away, his feet hovering inches above the bones.
”You are here for the Law… which is Death.”
He stopped fifteen meters away and looked over his shoulder, his expression bored.
”There are two outcomes to this. First, you die here, and I will take over your body as a vessel to leave this prison. Second… I give you my powers, and you become the next God of Death.”
Sunny blinked, stunned. “You… you want a successor?”
”I will give you a chance,” the God interrupted, ignoring the question.
He waved his hand. The bone ground rumbled.
CRACK!
SNAP!
Three skeletons rose from the depths of the bone sea. They were larger, their bones darker and denser than the others.
Sunny moved backward, putting fifty yards between himself and the summons. He watched in morbid fascination as muscle and sinew wove themselves out of thin air, wrapping around the bones. Then came skin. Then came the aura.
”Defeat these three, and prove yourself to me.”
BOOOOOM!!
The shockwave of their complete formation nearly knocked Sunny off his feet.
Standing before him were three figures he knew intimately.
The first was a towering beast of rage and hunger—the Wendigo King.
The second was the master of werewolves and speed—Xanor.
The third was the worm tribe brute force juggernaut—Bash.
But they were not as he remembered them. Their eyes were black voids, and their energy signatures were catastrophic. Each one emanated the oppressive, world-crushing strength of a Tenth Order Powerhouse.
”This is the lowest strength I can summon for a test,” the God of Death said, turning fully to face Sunny, crossing his arms. “Okay, Sunny… Without that Old Man helping you, I want to see what you’re truly capable of.”
The air grew heavy with killing intent.
’This is crazy?!’ Sunny screamed inwardly, sweat beading on his forehead:
‘These guys are leagues stronger than me! Who the hell can survive against three Tenth Order powerhouses with only Seventh Order strength?!’
The three resurrected enemies roared in unison, and the ground shattered as they launched themselves at him.
