Chapter 324: An Ally
”You just confused me,” Sunny muttered, his frown deepening as he stared at Morgana. The information she was dropping was too profound, too cryptic, and far too dangerous to be delivered so casually.

Morgana’s eyes flashed with impatience, yet her tone held the seriousness of a mentor. “You remember meeting Zohar, correct? You remember the visions the original Sunny showed you—the four worlds, the conflict? And you remember me, standing there when Zohar transferred his power to you. Did you truly forget everything we discussed about the ultimate mandate?”

”Of course, I can’t forget,” Sunny insisted. “Zohar said that mysterious person wants me to protect the four worlds and deal with Lester Blood. That was the mission.”

”That’s just the first half of the mission.” Morgana cut him off, her voice laced with finality.

”First half? What the hell do you mean by that?” Sunny snapped, frustration overriding his usual composure.

Morgana lowered her voice, forcing him to lean in, amplifying the weight of the secret. “I can’t tell you the main prize of the plan, but it’s related to a power far stronger than our entire realm, something that exists beyond the Supreme World. Our main, critical task is to protect your children.”

”Children?” Sunny was momentarily stunned by the casual confirmation. “How do you know about them?!” Suspicion flared in his gold eyes. This was supposed to be his private secret, revealed by the Omni Soul Guardians.

”Your children have a very important role in this plan. The most important role,” she emphasized, her red eyes burning with conviction.

“Just know this: Everything you have experienced, all the trials you passed through—it was all preparation for this moment. All those efforts were simply building you. The moment Josephine unlocked her main Bloodline, the Metal Goddess Bloodline, it placed the last critical piece of the puzzle together. And with the egg… your children could finally descend into a stable, powerful vessel.”

”You speak like they’re the last hope! They aren’t even formed yet,” Sunny muttered, the weight of the revelation settling heavily on him, his expression an unreadable mix of awe and terror.

”Yes. Those three are the only hope for this realm to survive!” Morgana declared, her gaze unwavering. “If they fall, trust me, the whole four worlds—Lower, Upper, Great, and Supreme—will collapse. Do you truly believe Lester Blood, the Child of Destruction, his pillars, the Blood Queen, or even Lilith are the main threat to the four worlds? Lilith could destroy the Great, Upper, and Lower Worlds, but she can’t destroy the Supreme World. But there is a power who could achieve this!”

She poked his chest with her finger, emphasizing the point. “That’s why we need your kids. Your immediate job is to take care of Lester Blood and all the immediate enemies in this realm, clearing the path. Then, you can dedicate yourself to protecting and raising your children! Now is the time to start preparing their future, because if you fail now, their rise will become infinitely more difficult.”

Sunny blinked, his mind grappling with the existence of a being capable of destroying the Supreme World—a concept that defied all known knowledge. Morgana’s final words, “our realm,” also hinted at a terrifying truth: they were only one pocket of existence in a larger, hostile cosmos.

”Are there other realms?” he asked, trying to process the concept.

Morgana stared at him for a beat, a silent acknowledgment of the terrifying world outside their own. She turned to walk away, but Sunny quickly stopped her.

”Wait, Josephine doesn’t know anything about the children yet. Keep that a secret for now. I want her to discover it herself, and the plan…”

”We must keep it from her,” Morgana cut him off, looking at him over her shoulder.

“We don’t want her to get worried, or scared. She must be at her best, physically and emotionally. After she gives birth, you can tell her everything.”

”Okay.”

Sunny nodded, the agreement sealed. He dropped the barrier of wind, and the sound of the waiting Mercenaries instantly rushed back in. He walked toward the group, Morgana trailing behind him.

He took Josephine’s hand, a small, genuine smile on his face, and turned to the expectant Mercenaries.

”There is something I want to tell you all,” he began.

Elara, however, interrupted him, her devotion unwavering. “If it’s about what she said or called you… we don’t care.” She moved her gaze across the mercenary ranks. “We are all with you, working for you. So having other names or identities isn’t our business. Trying to explain it will only complicate what is already clear.”

”Yes. We don’t care about your identity or appearance,” Precious added instantly, her voice firm. “We just know we are with you. That is the vow we gave.” Ethan nodded vigorously in approval.

Sunny stared at them, touched. Their loyalty was absolute, transcending the confusing events of the moment. He smiled and nodded his head. “Thank you, all of you.” He then turned his gaze to Thomas.

”It seems we have some new faces here.”

Thomas, sensing the opportune moment, quickly stepped forward, bowing low. “Sir Alex… I am Thomas. I want to formally submit to you and join the Rising Star Mercenary Guild with my remaining members.”

’This is new… He is building a foundation here. He is not entirely foolish,’ Morgana thought, standing behind Josephine. ‘He is strong enough to survive in the Upper World. But I will still have to protect his wife for him… still useless.’

’This woman!! Did I ask for her help? I can protect my wife myself. I don’t need anyone’s help for that,’ Sunny hissed inwardly, catching her clear thought. Despite the annoyance, he maintained a flat expression.

Morgana might be unbearable, strange, and completely insane at times, but her immense power and her commitment made her presence a net positive. Sunny would not refuse the aid; he knew nothing about the Child of Destruction’s true strength, and having an extra layer of Fifth Order protection around Josephine was undeniably a good thing.

”Welcome to, Rising Star,” Sunny said to Thomas, his attention already turning to the path ahead. “We leave now. The real work begins.”
