480: Chapter 478: A Illusion 480: Chapter 478: A Illusion The world around Lauren began to shake, the floor trembling under her knees as she held Seojun’s cold, lifeless body close to her chest.

Her sobs grew louder, her voice breaking with every cry, and the forest around them started to crumble the trees splitting apart, the ground cracking open, pieces of earth falling into darkness.

She could hear something “Mrs.

Han” faint voices in the distance but they were muffled, like they were calling to her from behind a thick wall of water.

She couldn’t make out the words, and she didn’t care.

She just wanted to hold Seojun, just wanted this moment to stop, even if it hurt forever.

But A heavy hand gripped her shoulder.

Lauren’s teary eyes widened, and she slowly turned her head.

Standing behind her was Grimzark, his small frame casting a shadow over her, his eyes locked on her with a serious, unshakable expression.

“Grim-” she tried to speak, but before she could finish, Grimzark’s other hand shot forward, and in one swift, forceful motion, he grabbed her and flung her back not violently, but as if pulling her out of something.

Her body jolted, and suddenly She felt light..

The crushing sadness lifted, the sound of her cries vanished, and her surroundings changed.

Lauren gasped, realizing she was no longer in the forest, but back in the endless white arsenal room.

Her knees were pressed against the floor, weapons scattered around her in every direction, shining faintly in the pale light.

“W-what…” she muttered, her voice weak and shaky.

Her head felt heavy, and a red drop hit the white floor.

She touched her upper lip and saw blood.

Her breathing quickened as she reached up to her ears, more blood.

Her mind raced in confusion and shock.

Then she noticed it a thin crack in the air, like glass breaking in slow motion.

The crack spread wider and wider, spiderweb patterns stretching until the air itself shattered with a deafening CRASH.

Shards of reality flew outward like pieces of crystal, scattering into nothing.

Ssivar and Belgrom instantly stepped in front of her, their bodies tense and ready to defend.

From the collapsing shards, a silhouette emerged-Grimzark, stepping out with his fist clenched tight, his presence heavy and unyielding.

A few tense seconds passed before Ssivar and Belgrom slowly moved aside, giving Lauren a clear view.

Her eyes widened, and her breath caught in her throat.

It all clicked in that moment.

“Illusion…” she whispered, her voice trembling with both fear and relief.

Grimzark’s eyes scanned the place before he muttered under his breath, “Humans are really weak.” Ssivar and Belgrom immediately stiffened, glancing at each other in panic.”My lord-shhh!” Ssivar whispered urgently.

“Don’t let Lady Lauren hear you say that!” Belgrom added in the same hushed tone, afraid she might misunderstand and feel disappointed in him.

Lauren, however, was already looking around, her expression turning grim as she saw the others scattered across the white expanse.

Some lay completely still, trapped in their own nightmares, while others were half-swallowed by the floor made of weapons, as if the ground itself was consuming them.

Without hesitation, she stepped forward , kneel down and wrapped her arms around Grimzark, catching him completely off guard.

“Thank you, Grim!” she said, her voice trembling but grateful.

Before he could react, she pulled back and stood up, her eyes focused.

“We need to help the others or at least warn them.

Touching the weapons triggers the illusion!” she shouted so those still conscious could hear.

Ssivar and Belgrom quickly followed her lead, echoing her warning in their own booming voices.

“Do not touch the weapons!” “Stay alert!

Keep your hands to yourself unless you’re ready to face your worst nightmare!” Meanwhile, Grimzark remained frozen in place, his gaze following Lauren as she moved from person to person, checking if they were alive.  ‘Is this… what a mother’s hug feels like?’ “…It’s warm,” he muttered again.

Meanwhile, In the forest.

Seojun paused mid-step, his boots sinking slightly into the damp forest floor as he tilted his head back, eyes narrowing.

For a moment, he heard his mother’s voice faint, distant, yet so familiar it made his chest tighten but then the feeling that she was safe washed over him, calming the small storm inside his mind.

With a soft exhale, he turned forward again, letting the heavy scent of moss and earth guide his steps deeper into the quiet forest.

Far above the mortal world, in the Heavenly realm untouched by time, the deities gathered within a grand celestial hall, the floor made of shimmering stardust and the pillars carved from living light.

Their eyes were fixed on the scene below where Seojun walked alone.

“This is him, right?” one of the goddesses asked, “Yeah,” another replied, crossing her arms and nodding toward the mortal’s image reflected on the divine floor.

“The one Zyraena tried hiding.” At the mention of the name, their attention shifted to the corner of the hall, where Zyraena was now kneeling, her wrists bound by golden chains that pulsed faintly with divine power, her head bowed in silent defiance.

A tall god with sharp features and a lazy grin strolled closer, swirling the deep crimson wine in his crystal cup, the liquid catching fragments of starlight.

“Since he’s already there, how about we… continue it rather than summoning him here right now?” he suggested, his tone casual but his eyes glinting with mischief.

“We can bring him up later.” A ripple of interest passed among the gathered deities.

“Can’t miss the fun, right, Zeus?” another god called out, his tone half-joking, half-testing.

All eyes turned toward the grand throne, where Zeus sat draped in robes of white and gold, the weight of storms in his gaze.

He didn’t speak didn’t even glance at them his fingers tapping lightly against the armrest as if lost in a thought far deeper than the rest could guess.

They took his silence as consent.

A few smirked, some chuckled, and more than one deity leaned forward in anticipation, their immortal eyes gleaming as they watched Seojun’s every step.

Their amusement over Seojun’s slow progress was interrupted when a sudden gasp echoed across the celestial hall.

A goddess, draped in flowing robes of deep violet, clutched her chest as if an invisible thing had pierced through her heart.

Her breath trembled, and the goblet she held slipped from her hand, shattering into shards of crystal that melted into stardust before touching the floor.

“What… is this?” she whispered, her voice almost breaking.

The other gods and goddesses turned sharply, their gazes scanning the divine reflection on the floor.

Their attention moved away from Seojun’s figure and toward another part of the mortal forest, there was a woman with sharp, determined eyes and a two stick in hand.

“Dayanara Cruz”
