Chapter 306: Finally Revealed
Nova’s consciousness plunged forward Into Selena’s truth.

And

It didn’t even take a second.

The moment Nova’s consciousness crossed the threshold of Selena’s unguarded mind, the world shifted.

Her closed eyes trembled violently, lashes squeezing together as if her body itself was trying to reject what her mind was seeing. Her hand remained pressed against Selena’s head, but her fingers curled, knuckles whitening.

A tear slipped free.

Then another.

Then they wouldn’t stop.

They streamed down Nova’s face, silent and relentless, dripping from her chin to the floor below. She didn’t make a sound not a sob, not a cry but the grief poured out of her all the same, heavy and raw, as if her soul itself had cracked open.

Her posture remained upright, rigid, but everything inside her was collapsing.

Everything rushed into Nova at once, flooding her chest, crushing her lungs, until her emotions could no longer stay buried. They exploded inside her.. All the memories about Razeal she focused on.

The image of him surfaced in her mind: Razeal standing firm, insisting on his innocence. Then another memory followed, far more unbearable herself giving him punishment by herself. One hundred lashes. Publicly. His screams echoing through the crowd as he begged, over and over, swearing he hadn’t done it.

Another memory surged forward.

Razeal returning to the academy years later.

Their first meeting.

She remembered how she had approached him, expecting hoping for something. Anger. Bitterness. Anything.

Instead, she saw herself standing there… and Razeal looking straight past her.

As if she doest even exist.

The way he refused to acknowledge her presence.

The way he wouldn’t call her sister.

The disgust in his eyes when she tried to help.

The way he rejected her help even knowing she could do anything for him.

At the time, she had told herself he was being childish. Petty. Ungrateful.

Now

Now she understood.

He had been right.

Every bit of it.

He wouldn’t call her his sister.

He wouldn’t accept her help.

There was only cold rejection… and quiet disgust. And now she understood.

He had been right. Completely right.

She deserved every ounce of that hatred.

She didn’t deserve his forgiveness.

The memories didn’t stop.

They overlapped, layered, merciless.

More memories invaded her mind this time not her own, but Selena’s. Conversations she was never meant to hear. Truths hidden beneath deception.

Nova saw Selena speaking with Celestia.

Heard the truth spill out in voices Nova had trusted.

She saw the real reason Celestia had lied.

Celestia didn’t want Razeal as her fiancé.

She wanted out.

And accepting the accusations was was the easiest way to break the engagement cleanly.

Nova’s jaw trembled.

Then Selena’s own truth surfaced.

Her love.

Her twisted, desperate reasoning.

The belief that if Razeal was accused out with her, The engagement would be broken off quietly, not to say because his name getting dirty because of her as even her own image very dirty so both families will make make decision to bring them together so the face of both families could be saved.

She could protect him from celestia.

She could marry him.

She could keep everything inside the family.

Nova watched Selena accuse him not out of malice, but out of love so warped it became cruelty.

And then

Her conversation wuth celestia again.

Later which was quite colder.. now

The words cut deeper than any blade.

My dignity is more important than anything.

That sentence echoed through Nova’s mind again and again.

Dignity.

More important than her brother’s life.

Her brother’s future.

Her brother’s soul.

The memories kept coming.

Each one heavier than the last.

Each one tearing away another illusion Nova had clung to for years.

Facts she had trusted.

People she had believed.

Judgments she had enforced.

All lies.

Every single one of them.

Her brother

Her brother had been telling the truth.

And she had been the one to punish him.

Nova’s body shook.

Tears fell faster now, splashing against the stone floor beneath her. Her lips parted as if she wanted to scream, but no sound came out. The grief was too vast, too consuming, to be expressed with noise.

Beside them, Marcella stood silently, hands clasped behind her back.

She didn’t move or interrupt.

But sadness slowly settled across her stern features, her eyes darkening as she watched Nova crumble.

“So it was true huh.. Sigh. The young master had been innocent. ” Marcella lowered her gaze. “What a sad mistake.”

She glanced briefly at Selena, then back at Nova at the tears, the shaking, the unbearable weight pressing down on her. Even you were wrong, my lady, Marcella thought quietly. Her thoughts drifted to one person only.

The matriarch.

The woman who ruled the household through fear and absolute authority.

How would she react to this? Marcella’s chest tightened just thinking about it.

This wasn’t just painful. It was devastating.

The Virelan household had condemned its own heir. Wrongfully, Publicly and Cruelly.

Marcella could already feel it the subtle, ominous shift in the air, like the first tremor before an earthquake. Something irreversible had been set in motion.

On the other side, Nova was still trapped inside the memories.

Still reliving every moment.

Every injustice. Every scream she had ignored.

This pain this guilt was worse than any torture she had ever endured.

She had fought monsters. Killed enemies. Endured wounds that would have broken others.

But none of it compared to this.

Selena stood beneath Nova’s hand, unmoving.

Tears slid silently down her own face, soaking into the front of her robes. Her head remained bowed, shoulders trembling faintly.

She could feel it too.

Every memory Nova was seeing replayed inside her own mind.

The lies, the fear, the choices she had made.

The damage she had caused.

It hurt.

But alongside the pain, something else stirred.

Relief.

The crushing weight she had carried for so long years of silence, guilt, and self-loathing finally began to lift.

The truth was out.

At last. Fear followed close behind.

Fear of what Nova would do.

Fear of what the family would do.

But there was hope too.

Hope of what they would do if.. if this misunderstanding was undone.

A fragile, trembling hope.

Maybe the family she had broken could finally see the truth.

Maybe the misunderstanding that tore them apart was finally shattered.

And maybe.. just maybe this painful honesty had opened a small chance for them to find their way back to each other.

Nova was still moving through Selena’s memories when she reached it the meeting with Nancy, only a few hours old. The memory surfaced suddenly, vivid and sharp, as if it had been waiting for her. Nova didn’t hear every word at once. At first, it was the feeling that hit her the tension in Selena’s body, the heaviness in the air, the way guilt and exhaustion clung to her like a second skin.

Then Nancy’s voice cut through.

“Selena Luminus.”

The name carried weight

“Yes, it was your fault that you lied. Yes, you framed someone for a disgusting, vile act. That part is yours.”

“…but it wasn’t your fault that he was separated from his family.”

Nova’s breath caught.

Her thoughts stumbled, scrambling to process the words as Nancy continued, her voice calm, unwavering.

“They didn’t believe him. That was their fault.”

They didn’t believe him.. Yes it is indeed right. She didn’t.. And he needed them.

The sentence echoed in Nova’s mind, repeating again and again, each time louder than before. It drowned out everything else in the memory. She could no longer focus, no longer move forward. The weight of it crashed down on her all at once, too heavy, too sudden.

Even someone like her someone people believed to be cold, detached, almost emotionless had a limit.

This was it.

Nova couldn’t take it anymore. Her hand slipped from Selena’s head as the glow of her power vanished. Tears spilled freely from her eyes before she even realized she was crying. Her vision blurred, her throat tightening painfully.

She took a step back.

Then, without thinking, she moved.

Nova crossed the distance in a single stride and crashed into Marcella, clutching her as if she were the only thing holding her upright. Her fingers twisted into Marcella’s uniform, gripping tightly, desperately. And then the sound tore out of her.

“Ahhhhhhhhh!” The scream filled the room, raw and broken. Tears poured down her face as she buried it into Marcella’s chest, her shoulders shaking violently. Her cries were loud, unrestrained the kind of sobs that came from deep inside, the kind that tore a person apart piece by piece.

Yes, she didn’t run to look for Razeal.

She didn’t lash out at Selena.

She didn’t storm off in search of Celestia, nor did she bare the truth to the world in a fit of rage.

She did none of it.

Because the sorrow crushing her chest was far heavier than anger could ever be.

She couldn’t.

What had happened to her brother… what she had done to him… the way she had doubted him, wounded him, turned away when he needed her most those truths pressed down on her until she could barely breathe. The realization was merciless. He had been right. And she had been wrong. So terribly, unforgivably wrong.

Even she had wronged him.

That was the part that shattered her.

Nova who from the outside seemed cold, detached, almost inhuman was breaking apart from the inside. The sharp, emotionless mask she wore had never meant the absence of feeling; it was only armor. And now, that armor lay in pieces at her feet. Every restrained emotion, every buried softness, every unspoken regret came crashing down all at once.

Her body trembled violently as the pain overwhelmed her. Her sobs were raw, torn straight from her chest less like crying and more like wounded screams, full of anguish she couldn’t contain. She clutched at herself as though trying to hold her shattered heart together, but nothing helped. The guilt gnawed at her relentlessly, leaving her helpless beneath its weight.

She couldn’t handle the truth.

She couldn’t survive it.

Marcella saw all this without a word and gently wrapped her arms around Nova, pulling her close. She gently cradled Nova’s head against her chest, one hand moving slowly through her hair, grounding her, sheltering her from the storm consuming her. Marcella knew her too well.. knew how deep Nova felt, even when she pretended not to feel at all.

Looking down at her now, at this broken, screaming figure shaking in her arms, Marcella could only sigh softly. Not in frustration, but in sorrow. A heavy, knowing sigh one filled with empathy, grief, and the painful understanding that there were wounds even strength could not mend.

Nearby, Selena stood frozen.

Her entire body trembled as she watched the scene unfold.

She had never.. never—l imagined seeing Nova like this. The woman she had always known as unyielding, terrifying, composed even cruel and sometimes mentally unstable and crazy beyond reason… reduced to this fragile, shattered state. For a fleeting moment, Selena had truly believed Nova would kill her on the spot. She had prepared herself for that fate.

But this?

This was just.. totally different but farr more worse.

Hearing those sorrowful, heart-rending cries from Nova the same Nova who had cared for her so gently, who had protected her, who had made her feel safe as though she had an elder sister watching over her it tore something apart inside Selena. The contrast was unbearable. The protector had fallen. The pillar had cracked.

Tears streamed down Selena’s face, blurring her vision. She hadn’t wanted this. She had never wanted Nova to suffer especially not because of her. And yet, standing there now, she knew she was part of the reason Nova had been pushed to this breaking point.

She wanted to move. She wanted to say something anything. But her feet wouldn’t obey, and her voice was trapped behind her sobs.

All Selena could do was stand there, crying helplessly, watching the person she admired and loved most fall apart before her eyes utterly unsure of what to do, or how to fix something that had already been broken beyond repair.
